Yes, when I awoke this morning I was thinking about being thankful for the 70 years I've had so far in this world rather then thinking about what I never had or don't have now. Just reflection on what God has given me is a great feeling which gives me peace.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! Your story about playing softball is just like mine. I was a single Mom and a young couple at church encouraged me to join their softball team. She played and he was the assistant coach. The older man who coached was once famous. He was a kind and gentle man. I did not do the best at playing but after each game the older man would ask me "Did you have fun?" and I would say yes. Then he would say "I heard you encouraging the others and that was a wonderful gift. Thank you." I always puzzled over those words and then one day when reading my devotions it dawned on me what he meant.
Happy Mother’s Day… I need to let you know that I dedicated one of my podcast that I do that is a faith base and Christian based podcast. A while back you talked about a story of when you worked at a hotel and you were protecting a girl from my man that was after her who came in by the front counter. Long story short I use that story to talk about how the Lord fights for us inExodus. Thanks so much for always sharing your faith!♥️

Your story was such a wonderful illustration and reminder that it is so important to be thanking those God has placed in our lives to encourage us, help us, and spur us on-and to be thanking the Lord for all we have instead of focusing on what we don't or on the noise of this world.
I find peace and comfort in knowing that I have what the Lord wants me to have at a particular time in my life. Sometimes I go looking for something that I think I want, but I come home with something more practical or applicable than my original plan/desire. The Lord gave me a free gift today as I was out looking for something else. I find the Lord gives us the pieces we need as we are ready to accept them, and it is the way the pieces assemble that makes us uniquely human. Happy Mother's Day everybody.
