Nice one mate. Every time I went to London as a kid and young adult it just stood there all a bit derelict and as you say when it closed it just fell into disrepair, then when I visited home a year or so ago it was all looking very plush and I wondered what it looked like inside. I love the way they have done it too, thanks for doing this cracking vid.

The lift feels like going up in Wonka’s great glass elevator! Bit scary for me but good once you’re at the top - though you only get 6 minutes before it comes back down again. Oh, and the sculpture you showed briefly of the hare and dog - there’s another one by that artist in the Cosmo in Vegas 😊

I’m not sure what is more amazing the revamp of the original “fork handles/4 candles” building or the newish skyline looking down towards the Victoria embankment. As a born and bred SW London refugee/exile this video has stirred up some old memories! Smashing my front teeth out on the bumper cars in the old Battersea Park funfair 49 years ago as an 8 year old for starters. Nearly rolling my Ford Capri on the Park Embankment and the GLC for jobs day free concert back in 1984 with Aswad, OMD and Billy Bragg!. Fantastic job on the Vlog Simon. Even some Vegas bits in there… the statue of the dog and rabbit is also in Cosmo,it looked like a Venus fly trap ( little shop of horrors) next to the power station model and obviously Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 😂😂😂 Oh…Pink Floyd🤪

Wow amazing what they did with the place, It is so iconic to me as a building - I remember making a trip there way back when Pink Floyd put out the Animals album, there was not much going on around there back then of course, but I managed to take a few photos. Animals became my favourite album of all time when it was released (I was 17 at the time) even though it was in the midst of the Punk rock revolution, and it is still my favourite album even now. Although due to my age I find I am listening to "smooth jazz" these days more than Pink Floyd.... I am loving your videos mate - If I ever get back to London I now have a list of places I must visit in addition to the usual touristy venues, especially on the food front !

Another great walkabout Simon. I did visit a few months ago and most of the shops were high end and out of my league. Love seeing someone else's point of view.

Good video! The only thing I would suggest is you give an idea of the individual dish prices as well as the total as not everyone can afford a £30 lunch but still might want to try the individual dishes.

The good old upturned table, I remember when they said it was gonna be an indoor theme park. Been wondering what they did with it, blimey, wasn't expecting this, interesting to see inside, good stuff mate, shame u couldn't do the lift😟 Ahh come we all remember splendid Pink Floyd, well, if you're our age😉😄
