What does the Pulse Generator do here? And will you please explain and differentiate the role of Vdc and Pulse generator here? Thank you. BTW, Great Work..
The pulse generator generates the switching signals for IGBTs. You may find more explanations for battery in my other video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-203f1eGLq9E.html
Thank you sir. It's a very very helpful video. But sir i have used bidirectional non isolated dc dc converter topology to charging the battery for electric vehicles. Means in charging station. So sir how can i makr simulate model for the automation closed loop PID controller for bidirectional dc dc converter. It will be very helpful for me.
Thank you sir for the great efforts you deployed in these vedios.I need your help in multi-agents electrical management system and in hybrid storage system like documentation, books, simulation. Thank you very much.
good work thanks sir to share your work I have a question if I want to charge battery and discharge but with other dc-dc converter how to do that by other converter but same work of buck and boost
this is a bidirectional converter. If you only charge or discharge you may use one of them (buck or boost). But, if you want to discharge the battery within the same connection, you may use two ways. You may use an additional converter which is connected between the battery terminals and load. Other way is using the bidirectional converter in this study.
Respected. Sir i am student of. Electrical engineering .i watch all of your videos its very helpfull for mee . I am also design to start my model for as university is provide me thesis to search on that topic. I am having less knowledge related to this . I see video on youtube in which a 100 kw soler system connected with a 25 kv system . I make 60 percent model in matlab but i not properly design the Mppt Controler and its parameter design . The person can not reply can you provide me some help related to this Kindly provide you email adress.thanks
Hello Can I ask ,I am a student and I made a simulation of solar powered vehicle using a PV array, Boost converter and DC motor. But the simulation result were wrong, that it gave a high amount of the output current as also the torque even though that the curve of speed is correct. Can you advice me what should I change!
i need to design 12v to 50v bidirectional converter kindly guide me how to select components. and what are the voltages for which you made the converter???
Can you please post your simulation settings ? I am not getting the graph as fast as you are. MATLAB is simulating the battery charging in real time and i will have to run the simulation for hours to get a complete picture of charge variation. Please help.
Thanks for your interest. I have not any other video about this topic. Because, system parameters can change for type of battery and application area. In addition, charge and discharge limits can defined from user. Because of that, a general system design is not possible for this topic. But, if you have a problem, I may help to you. If you want, you can anlyze of my paper that include battery system "An Inverter Design for A New Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator".
@@nakiguler thank you for the reply, I'll check out your paper, actually I'm working on Vehicle to grid systems for my master's thesis, that's why I need to simulate the grid, AC-DC converter, DC-DC inverter and the battery, and then realise an algorithm to control the whole system
Hi @Amine SALHI did you manage to finish the system, i have the same subject for my master, if you want we can help each other. email me to boxbrain007@gmail.com
Sir, I'm final year engineering student. V r doing a project on Bidirectional dc to dc converter. Now v t trying for the simulation. But v have 2014 MATLAB version. So v r not able find some options as in this video. Can you please make the same video in 2014 version . Please sir.
Some system parameters should known for determine the charge and discharge situations. CV and CC limits should known and minimum SOC limit should be defined. Besides these, charge and discharge situations can be change with system type. I only share an example for these. You can prepare a controller for your system.
When simulate battery control that make sense to start with battery free model like this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8KGgw8UipBY.html And free archive for model, library and examples drive.google.com/open?id=1PxIcvUo2Niey-xanvbkDh9a2cJaZwCaS
Sir, when you connect battery to the load its discharging and when connecting it to the source it is charging then what is the need of bidirectional converter here??
First of all, it is an example. If we remove the converter, we can't control the battery current. In this case, overcurrents may flow. And, if you have a dc bus, you may control power direction and power flow. But the systems may confuse to explain here.
thank you very much for your videos are very helpfull , sir i'am working okey charging station for EV off grid powred by PV panel can you help me out to associate between the PV system and the EV battery i mean charging station thak you
If the PV system will supply to EVs, you may connect it only a converter. But, if you want to supply more than one EV, you should use a DC bus and cars should be charged from separated converters. And also, you may need external storage in the charging station. It depends on your system design.
thank you for your reply my system design contains PV generator and extrernal storage and EVB and right now i''am working in the power management if you can help me to realize BMS between the PV and the EES and EV battery ?
@@nakiguler Sir, I am making a MATLAB project on optimization of PV battery system, through the use of Simulink. I proceeded to integrate the PV and battery system, thanks to you for uploading this awesome informative video. To further add up let's imagine that the grid is demanding power from the PV+Battery system and we need to control the power flow such that the battery life is increased by decreasing the charging and discharging cycles. I designed a flow chart to do so, but implementation in Matlab is a big challenge as it has only been a week since I started using the software, In short, I need the guidance of your expert knowledge in this regard as I've to submit the report of the simulation before 2nd Jan 2021 to my coordinator. Would you help me through this task? I might brief you up through email if you like, kindly let me know about your interest. Thanks for reading! Best wishes!
@@nakiguler have you made new video with audio ? pls share the link. i need it badly for my project. I have used your circuit as reference model but, there is ambiguity for CURRENT (A) graph.... waiting to hear from you. If it is posible for you pls contact at whatsapp 092 342 8307370
This was really good informative video to understand the battery concept. Please upload such good videos sir. Would you please like to share PV and battery sharing a load. Also how battery charges and discharges during the period. My email id sshree14530@gmail.com
