Which battery cutoff saw should you get? Well here are two great options. I’ve been running the Stihl HARD for years and it has seen some wear and tear with belts needing replacement and the handle coming off. It has also done a HUGE amount of work for me and the battery life works out almost perfect for timing of use age vs charging.
The Dewalt is a newer tool. It feels very solid and the mechanical drive feels strong and like it’ll take a beating. It’s not quite as smooth of a starting cut as the Stihl, but does cut slightly faster. The compartment for the battery and wrench is a really nice touch. The only drawback is the basic batteries get eaten up fast and don’t charge quick enough to keep you cutting all day. The larger capacity battery is a must.
