The "environmentally safe additive" is just an epsom salt/water solution, that's what helps break down the lead sulfates while charging it. To get the whole process kicked off better, use an old model battery charger that doesn't have a whole heap of unnecessary electronics governing the charging process. This is one of the main reasons for those garbage electronics in the newer chargers anyway, they realized that if the charger doesn't provide efficent amperage the sulfation will not be removed from the lead plates and force the consumer to need a new battery earlier than absolutely necessary... more money in their pockets, but worse for the environment. After all, it is the same greedy scumbags that produced the chargers are the ones that make the batteries in the first damn place. The first chargers I can remember being on the market were made by Diehard and Ever Ready, there is another one, but the name currently eludes me. Oh well.
Yes, you are correct, but it is very easy to out smart the smart charger. If it does not want to charge, you just "jump" the system momentarily with a good battery and it will continue to charge the bad battery to full charge.
As (chopshop ish) as this place looks, it wouldn’t surprise me if these guys are just adding Epson salt and plugging X16 car batteries wired together and plugged into a wall socket to boil away the sulfasion and over charge the batteries. They don’t cycle the batteries to see if it will hold a long term charge.
I have reconditioned "dead" batteries using high charge boil method. Mixed results. Ideal ones went to good but cca were never close to a new battery.(snap on dtac plus tester before /after)
What is the price of an average refurbished automotive car battery to the customer should they want to buy one from you after using this process? thanks
Not sure of this guy but shops by me have reconditioned batteries starting at 30$ and they go up depending on the battery model. But for an average car battery it's usually 30-40$ and a 3 month to 1 year warranty.
Sir, Video is wonderful. They have given information in detail. Can I get its pdf file which contents process from Dead Battery to rejuvenate Battery? Thank you
They cannot be restored if they are physically broken. The lead plates will eventually wear thin and break apart. Applying a high voltage to crack open the sulfation is roughly equivalent to cracking it open with a hammer. If the plates are already thin and weak, they will not survive the trauma.
Dont mess with light bulb socket ...you may get SHOCK THERAPY. Look for George Washington$ or Ben Franklin$ in your wallet for the BEST FIX Guaranteed. 🤣🤣🤣
You keep repeating that the machine is "very advanced" with "complex programming" but isn't that just a 2004 LCD screen with arduino that just force charges it manually after you add new electrolyte? Because without making my arduino do it, that's exactly the same thing I do
well... the machine is "advance and complex" for him... don't hate... the poor Mexican technician is trying his best. 12:55 ...and 2.4 MEGA Ohms of resistance... umm yeah...
I forgot to tell you to clean them up and put a new sticker on them then the end of the process is selling back to you but it's a good process I appreciate the video
by the time I was to polishing the terminals.... I was looking for a rope to hang myself..... I wonder what the "mystery fluid" was..... my guess epson salt..... Damn... take this down....
Great video. At 13 minutes in the video you stated that 4 Mega-ohms of resistance was good. With a 12 volt battery that resistance would only allow approximately 3 microamps of current.
I love your spirit but your thinking of circuit math. Batteries are different in that they provide electricity and you can't measure the resistance of something providing electricity, think of it in terms of how resistance is measured with a meter, by passing a voltage through a circuit, so how would you pass voltage through something that's supplying voltage? Batteries are more accurately measured with capacitance if your wanting something to measure I guess. They are just a chemical capacitor after all. A dead battery though would technically have a high resistance unless the cells are shorted out though. Hope this helps.
@@tylerdurdin8069you can measure the resistance using a conductance battery tester, tells you the internal resistance and exactly how many cracking amps it can provide
the lead plates also slowly dissolve or crumble over time too with each charge/discharge cycle, you may be able to reverse the sulfuric acid crystallizing and get the current if a similar surface area still exists but capacity and how long the battery will last even when cared for will be drastically less then a new battery with new whole intact lead plates... just shred the things salvage the lead and the acid and the plastic and forge into brand new parts with the recovered raw materials.. pretty sure that is what normally is done and why they give you back a deposit when you return the battery back to the store for recycling. might even be a 'modern marvels' or 'how its made' episode going over this lol..
@@CallMePapa209 I agree, plus the person neglected to keep the battery clean of "rust dust" from the roads. Rust particles come from all the other rusty cars that vibrate or bump the old rust off their car's undersides. Rust Dust puts a high resistant short between the battery posts, so the computer and dust short drains the battery quicker and puts a strain on the alternator to keep the battery charged. This sulfates the battery, and the bumps and vibrations in the car causes deterioration of the lead plates over time and the battery dies just after the warranty expires.
@@CallMePapa209 Certainly. The lead doesn't simply evaporate. Just empty out the battery and collect the gunk that settles down. This is what came off the plates, and even on a very old battery it isn't actually that much compared to the all the material in there. CCA and capacity will certainly have suffered due to age and the desulfation process, but that doesn't mean that the battery is useless scrap. Its like saying "Its not worth it to repair this car cause it will not even last half as long as a brand new one". If you need a battery just for a couple years, then such a refurbed one may work just fine.
here's a few suggestions for doing a pro job do not try to do this until you are sure what you are doing - the acid can burn your skin Test the voltage first - there may be a kaput cell which would waste your time. Check the battery fluid. attempt to fully charge the battery. (I discovered about these and more from Jons Mender Guide site )
You didn't make that one battery better then new. The CCA rating is considered an average rating throughout the whole life of the battery. So a new battery is way better then the average rating. This is why you were able to make it look like it's better then new. NOT actually better then new.
new teck nope its over charging with 10 amp or more automatic old style charger for 20-30 hours use a car head light bulb as a current resistor on one wire or not if you do not have one.. then draining battery to 10.5- 11.0 volts recharging as normal 5 times then done lol funny stuff....cold crank amp is not room temp or hot shop temp that would be higher snake oil with truth is can work but it not a secret method..this is gold
Normally the cca on the battery is the amount it should still hold before warranty expires. If it has 2 years warranty you should get a free new one when not getting the cca on the battery. new batteries will have more cca than it says on battery.
If it’s a lead SLI car battery stop being so cheap. If force charge fails buy a new one for the love of god. Damn people.... I just use AGM now and maintenance charge. No issues ever. And I’m in the desert 🌵
Thank this battery reconditioning plan t.co/uUSuy6Yk5g for the help reconditioning my batteries. I had Three dead batteries scheduled for disposing of. But I was able to recondition them using this technique in just One hour! It really works for all kinds of batteries!
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else wants to discover how to recondition batteries try t.co/YpdloYO92F ? Ive heard some super things about it and my co-worker got excellent success with it.
interesting points ,if anyone else is searching for lead acid battery reconditioning try Jadonite Renovate Battery Buddy (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my neighbor got great results with it.
interesting points ,if anyone else wants to discover how to recondition batteries try Basarto Renew Battery Blueprint (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some great things about it.
Sorry but you are using equipment that most do not own and it is crazy that expensive equipment is used when hose hold items can be used and it is only a few dollars
I don't know the chemistry of lead acid and I have been adding retail chem to the battery for years. 17 years old now, and only one weak cell. The chem couldn't fix it. So, I am trying high voltage just for that cell.
Sure let's go with tap water and calcium bicarbonate. One adds all kinds of impurities the other changes the pH.... The wrong way... Lmao. What a grift, and shame on all of you wanting to do this grift yourself.
@@hi_lo574 I don't know what your saying. Are you rebuking me or agreeing? Seems comparable to pulling a Rick and replying with a meme that could be interpreted any way particularly vague like Miley Cyrus fist pumping.
Enjoyed watching this... I'm sure that magic XCharger is expensive ... Can I rent it from you over the weekend when you're not using it, and also buy a 5 gallon bucket of your magic Power-Plus desulphating juice? Then I'd be in business!!
Great video content! Sorry for chiming in, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you ever tried - Rozardner Powerful Battery Reality (just google it)? It is a great exclusive guide for learning how to recondition an old battery without the normal expense. Ive heard some great things about it and my cousin got excellent results with it.
This guy tries to be professional but ends up having a worker spray paint without wearing a mask. If you can't even take care of yourself you can't take care of the environment.
Cheers for the Video! Sorry for chiming in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you considered - Rozardner Powerful Battery Reality (just google it)? It is a smashing one off guide for learning how to recondition an old battery without the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my buddy at last got excellent success with it.
Most of these refurbished batteries are resale back to the Walmart Corporation. That how Walmart Corporation batteries and it owned name brand of batteries are 20-30% cheaper in prices than any other batteries Corporations manufacturers.
As a person who buys a battery for personal use it's better to shop at walmart but for businesses that sell a lot of batteries a day this is a better option.
Kog Gok Those are "blem" batteries with only a pro-rated one year warranty. Good for when you need a battery quick but don't have the cash for a "normal" battery. WalMart gets them from Exide.
Knowing what I know now I would never buy a battery from you I don't like it when people paint batteries cuz it's not very I appealing to me it doesn't matter if it's yellow or red a battery is a battery just leave it the way it is
this machine may have some sort of way but I know for sure you can refurbish a battery by flushing the sulfate off of it with baking soda ... check out youtube channel Randy Schartiger , he gives details of how to properly refurbish a lead acid battery , it's not that hard to do and you don't need a giant machine like this one but hey if this machine works and their secret formula of epsome salt so be it... most youtubes that say they can refurbish can't because you need to desulfate the plates, that is where the baking soda comes into play.
also not in this video if you had all those batteries in there charging you'd need expensive exhaust system to get rid of the gassing off as the batteries charge. These poor bastards would be dead or going to get some sort of high from all that explosive gas.
