Beautiful vedio....But vegetables prices very high... I'm indian in my country... Vegetables prices very low.. Like.. Potatoes 1kg@Rs.20/- Onions 1Kg@Rs.20/- Tomato's 1Kg@Rs.20/- Ginger 1kg@Rs.40/- Brinjal 1kg@Rs.20/- Cauliflower 1kg@Rs.20/- Drumsticks 4no.@Rs.10/- Carrot 1kg@Rs.30/- Beetroot 1kg@30/- Garlic 1kg@40/- 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 I love my india
First know the exchange rate srilanka 40 paisa is one rupee here... so if he says tomato is 120 rs (srilanka rupees) multiply it by 0.4 so it is 48 rs in India..
The yam at 17:50 is ''Cassava''[Manihot esculenta], which is locally known as Mayoka or Mangjokka. The black dried fruit at 24:50 is "Garciania Gummi'' known as Gorakka, its a spice to give a lot of sour acidic taste used to enhance the taste of food by making the consumer salivate more when eating.
why should i ask the price eveyrwhere ? :) its even good for the to put the price on the articles because of comunications ...Indeed very very nice video bro ! i like it
I am a Sri Lankan living in Egypt and I was there recently. I was surprised to find out veggies and fruits are so expensive there. Here in Egypt they are very cheap and very fresh. And the better in taste.I cannot imagine how they afford to buy, compare to salaries.
Myoka that is tapioca , dip in water and boiled it ,then remove water one or two times and it can use , and other many types of preparation, I am a south Indian ,Kerala state , all these items of vegetables are available in Kerala state .
They should import vegetables from Bangladesh. Then the price will be reduced by more than half. The jackfruit which is available in Bangladesh at Tk 50 but this market price 600 rupees!
Compare to European Price, Sri Lankan vegitable price is very expensive compare to Salary they earn..In France, Paris, 1 Kg Karot between .80€ to 3€ but here in Sri Lanka Between seasonal 300 Rupees to 500 Means 2€ to 3€ in Euros..Compare to other South Asian countries, it is clear expensive everything. !!
In India, the cost of the same items that you enquired at the market is one-fourth or one-fifth of the price only. Most of the items they are importing from India like Tamil Nadu which is nearer to Srilanka. I don't know how much those peoples are earning and how they are surviving with this much costly in every item.
Beautiful, use time, and money to improve life, work hard make everyone’s life and country wealthy ,otherwise Lanka going to be sold to China. Help needy people. Don’t waste money for partying alcohol, cigarettes or any bad habits. God bless 🦚🌦🙏🏿🌾
He should have hired a companion Sri Lankan to find out the cost of each item , and it shouldn't have cost that much for 1-2 hours work (maybe 300 rupees/ $2.00).... because it's apparent that many stall workers/owners were taking advantage of him by giving him inflated prices.
Asking price of commodities at market place and not buying them ,may sound less welcoming at some places ,.. donot do it China. here they are very accommodating..difference in [rice does not mean there is gold in them.. .. 2rp. difference .. .. price tagging is a good move adapted in some countries..here i noticed fair weight and pricing.. good clear pictures.
I didn't buy anything on the market because I lived that time in Trincomalee. It was a hard trip by motorbike from Trincomalee and back: the distance to Trinco is 145 km. So, really, I couldn't buy anything.
