It's a good sign that they're listening to Artosis and other peoples feedback. I like that they speak a little colloquially too, saying things like "unfun." That's good~. Just being direct and honest. And I know it's a meme to go "haha arty mad", but he really does have a good head on his shoulders for balance. 4:50 Like yeah, this is just true. 1 shotting stuff is in fact too strong. 5:25 Dude yes, I tried so many things. Mortar + Heavy Hunter is so busted. Glad they're remedying it. 5:55 Oh my gosh, THANK you. Beetles always did feel like they did a lot of dmg to ground, for an AA tier 1. (Which are supposed to be weak against ground.) Good patch 1!
I somewhat enjoyed the feel of Marine-Tank-Viking mirrors around Mortars, but I'm glad they gave us the option of fighting them with durable T2 units. It's the kind of nerf that usually makes the game more fun because now I have to play around those as well.
i got bored really quickly because having a decent all-around composition is behind like 10 hours of gameplay at least, so it's flipping between getting smashed by units i haven't unlocked yet then playing against bots. the core gameplay is ok, but it's also pretty shallow and they're already preparing to put in a bunch of f2p shenanigans. idk im probably done with it.
They need to add upgrades to bases: Turrets (Anti-Air, Anti-Ground, Anti-ALL), Repairs (consumes energy), Shield (gives a shield to all units that makes them receive 25% less damage for 3 seconds, Economy (workers are 15% faster, passive upgrade), so on. Bases need a huge buff to make the game more strategic.
But now the raider has no value anymore at all. 50% less health is insane. The better solution would be to reduce its damage vs workers by 50%. And Artosis, with all the respect in the world, because you are the best shoutcaster out there, but you never split up your army for defending or attacking, ofcourse your achillis heel is larger then achillis himself...

oracle was top two dumbest unit ever made in starcraft for years, everyone hated it when it came out and everyone hated david kim for putting it into the game (and i still do). the other unit is disruptor... i dont understand how people are so bad at their job. its like they never play their own game. it took me 3 and a half seconds to realize mortar were busted. at least they listen to feedback, i guess. still depressing
IMO worker harassment is altogether not fun - be it in Starcraft or Battle Aces. I don't like how it feels attempting to save your workers during harassment; the workers are weak and can't fight, your units are often not where they need to be, so you end up rushing units across your base as if you have been thrown a bunch of hot coals to juggle. I would rather see harassment be done against army units or units attached to your army (like a supply train connecting your forward position to your base).
