This one will replace my OG Revelation He-Man . This has so much better paint apps and the best head sculpt minus the 40th Annavsiary He-Man, Mattel has given us. Great Work Kyle, You're watched by a whole MOTU club here in Houston now.
Damon here! I like this version of Battle Armor He-Man! I was not a fan of the New Eternia version, which is weird because most of the New Eternia sub-line has looked fantastic! So this one hits all the right spots for me. Also an improvement over the very first Revelation He-Man from the first wave. I still haven’t gotten a chance to watch Revolution just because life has gotten so busy for me and my family lately, but hoping to catch up on everything soon enough!
Great review! In prep for this guy I looking at getting either the 'Viking' or previous battle armor figure for the power sword, if you have both could you confirm if there are any paint differences power sword wise between the 2 figs and if so which do you think is a better match for this new figure?
Personally, I loved Revelation and can't wait for the new series. Not sure what everyone's problem with Revelation was-it was a great, modernized MOTU show that was also very reverent to the original source material. (The CG kids show that came out on Netflix around the same time was a little too much of a departure.)
He-Man I grew up with was always a Jolly kind of guy. I do agree that he should have a battle face as an Optional head though. It's like with Prince Adam, why put in the stupid laughing face and not a shouting "I...Have ..THE POWER!" face?
@@Fenris30 On that note, I wish the origins line had given us a smiling He-man sculpt. We already have the battle grimace and the battle cry face...a smiling face would be a welcome addition.
Thanks for the great review. I’m still getting one, i but I agree I think it is a mixed bag in that likely choosing to go for screen accuracy removed some of the playability features I liked on the NE one (specifically the power sword, shield, and boot knife). Once you give He Man a boot knife, you can’t take it back, Mattel! 😂
Yes but this is a different world in the Masterverse on this Eternia which is similar to the Filmation Eternia Andra created the Battle Armor something that never featured on the Cartoon. In the Mini-Comics it was Duncan, that still hasn't changed cause that world still exist even though I think that version of He-man was killed by Anti-Eternia He-Man just like New Adventures and Movie He-Men were In the Masters of the Multiverse Comic. I believe This world is one of the New world's that was created at the end of that story since you see Elements from it continue in the New comics based on the Netflix show like the He-Force (Don't Ask.).
I've got an extra 40th Anniversary He-Man and I think I'm going to buy this one just for the Battle Armor and put it on the other figure. I just can't get into these Revelations / Revolutions figures. I have some as place holders but eventually when New Eternia versions come out, I'll replace them.
This He-man has a completely different buck...His chest and traps are much bigger and he's just more muscular...He really didn't get into detail in this review even the original chest harness is all new and looks much better....I'm surprised Kyle didn't mention any of this
@danielrecommends the battle armor is to small for the 40th...The chest on the 40th is huge its way to wide..The battle armor looks big only because petrudes outwards but it's not nearly wide enough unless maybe you can really heat and stretch it but it seemed way to small when I tried it.
If you only stop throwing the boxes the way you do I'll like your reviews a lot more, in fact that's the only thing that I complain about when it comes to your show.
Still the same mold with a new chest piece...not worth the price. These companies could easily sell an excesories pack. In the late 80s early 90s Mattel use to sell outfits and shoes for Barbie then they stopped in favor of trying to sell a new iteration instead of outfits.total greed. This line is no different.
