Battle ax of the 17th century restoration. I found this old rusty ax in the woods near an old road. This ax is from the 17th century. Many axes of this type are in the Plyasheva Museum, where The Battle of Berestechko took place. The Battle of Berestechko (28-30 June 1651) was fought between the Zaporozhian Cossacks ( Ukrainians ), led by Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky, aided by their Crimean Tatar allies, and a Polish army under King John II Casimir. The ax was very rusty and I decided to restore the ax. I removed the rust and preserved the metal, made a new handle. I hope you liked my restoration.
