The new singer is very good also but this girl has more power and pure raw metal singing. Check Out beast in black and Yannis the guy singing in that band is very good like a lighter version of halford back in the 90´s but with 80 ´s rock style

@@wickedindividual6619 - If you search for "Battle Beast Show Me How to Die live" here on RU-vid, there's a version with both Nitte and Noora taking turns singing, so you can compare them. Both have great voices, but most of my favorite Battle Beast songs have Nitte on vocals, and she only appeared on one album.

She reminds me more of Rob Halford. Dio was never much of a screamer. Though her low notes definitely have a touch of RJD.

Exactly. Noora is good and Yannis of Beast in Black is Equal to Noora. But Nitte is the best female metal Vocalist I have ever heard. Her voice made me fall in love with BB and the first album is still my favourite.

Unlike many other female singers in rock or metal, who often assume this gothic-angelic-etheric female position. And there are some things which shouldn't be called metal. In the same way like grunge wasn't rock.

+Filip lahoda i think we are speaking about style, this thing, is heavy HEAVYmetal, and theres very few heavymetal bands with female vocalists, i would say sister sin, is another one noteworthy, and possibly Warlock? but except that? and i dont think you would like Tarja to sing ever dream this way....and dont get me wrong, this singer, and hers successor are just perfect examples how heavymetal bands should sound, i will eventually get to see them live once theyll be nearby..... but the thing i was talking about is that the vocal ... style lets say, should fit into the song/band... dont wanna point out something exact now, but bands like sirenia, or nightwish suffered alot from changing lineup..(Tarja,Monika) if you know what i am talking about.. and whatever, lets leave it and enjoy the music now!

Look, someone who never heard of Arch Enemy

Blame vocal coaches and the teaching system for female vocalists. Classical and non-classical teachers have the same approach, they don't teach girls distorsion, they only teach clean singing and falsetto, rarely belting (some pop coaches do that) and if a girl requests to learn more metal vocals she is almost always denied that opportunity because "girls shouldn't sing like that". It's extremely difficult to find a vocal coach who does that, and that's the reason so few women sing like this. It's funny the rest of the replies mention only arch enemy, just shows how few of them there are, they can name one or two more, plus growl vocals work differently and one can learn them on their own, but this level of skill (or Noora, or Brittney Slayes from Unleash the Archers) needs guidance and structured practice you get with almost no vocal coach. Personally I think it's a shame. After so many years, metal is still not at all respected and is looked down upon as an inferior genre
