Saw this band a week ago in Quebec City with Sonata Arctica and Kamelot.... And Battle Beast just stole the show !! Uncredible performance, and wow !! What a vocal !! She's hot and very charismatic... Just love the show and now I have a new band in my top 5 !! Noora is just WOW !!! Hope to see you again very soon in Canada !!!
I've seen them twice in Atlanta, Georgia USA. Most recently this past October 11. Unfortunately the key-tar player wasn't with them at the time. He may have been sick or not feeling well? They had the keyboard sampled through the PA for the show. I had the privilege of meeting Noora, the lead guitarists and the bass player when I saw them the first time in May of last year. They were all very gracious and cool to meet fans. Battle Beast has become one of my favorite bands now, with Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Stryper, and Iced Earth.
@@Dontpanic4242 Yeah bro, they've been here twice in the past two years. Once back in May of 2018 at Center Stage opening for Kamelot and Delain (that's where I met them) and the other this past October 11 at the Masquerade opening for Kamelot again. Didn't get to meet them at that one. They are doing a fall North American Tour again this year, but the closest their coming here is Charlotte, NC. I guess their hitting all the sports they didn't get to go to last time around?
Ha, I know what you mean. I have plenty of bands I wish I would've "found" earlier. Most of them go all the way back to the 80's! Oh, well... maybe better late than never, my friend?
That audience did not deserve Battle Beast. I agree with everybody else. She does not need the stupid hair piece. She has a beautiful voice and super talented. With that alone... need nothing else
Her voice reminds me that of Małgorzata Ostrowska. Who? Yep, check her out. Great vocal star from 1980s. And that is true compliment to Noora. She is amazing.
It's not like this is a heavily mixed production for DVD or Blue ray release. This was a free live stream of which someone's obviously just taken the recording and uploaded to RU-vid. Live stream mixes normally sound poor since its most often the dry microphone feeds that you are hearing, which it sounds to me like what we hear in this video.
I think this was on the rock day of a month long opera festival. Strange concept if you ask me. During opera, you sit and watch the performance, the audience isn't usually part of the performance, but sit there, watch, listen, and clap after the aria (or song). In pop and rock gigs the audience normally become more part of the performance. Also, I think this might be taken from a live stream, the mix I don't think accurately represents what you probably heard if actually there. Good performance nonetheless.
I watched this live stream from the start when the audience started to arrive and mostly it was not a typical metal audience anyway. A lot of people in suits and generally a lot of older people. Some fans but mostly not the crowd you would see on a typical BB concert.
This is only 1 hour show so isn't the full set they do at their own full headlining club shows. They have recently still been doing black ninja, out of control, touch in the night. For a while I don't mind them dropping album 1 to 3 songs. Been done a lot already, good to freshen up the set. Can bring back those songs years later when doing retro tours. Also the reason you perform songs live is to promote them so you go listen to them. As the sole songwriter before, Anton would get most of the money from those songs. What's the incentive for these guys to tour their asses of promoting those songs only for Anton to get $from it. That's why their legitimate interest is to promote the recent albums so that they can recoup some $. The only reason they would even do any Anton songs these days is for the fans. Overall though it's impressive, to still put on such a good show without even using the best songs from half your catalogue!
@@mikescott5655 like I said, 3 songs of current full set list are album 1-3 songs (listening to early part of this vid again I noticed black ninja was played, I'm sure they also do out of control). The only reason for them to do that is for fans like us. Sure I also hope this remains, but I wouldn't be too fussed if this changes for a bit. They cant play the same stuff again and again, whether you prefer the new stuff or not they need to release new songs and promote them by touring, that's simply the music industry. Years down the line when doing longer headlining sets I'm sure all the classic songs will get cycled back into the set. For now they just need to try and make the best songs they can and hope people like them. I like pretty much all BB songs so far, but my musical taste is quite broad. I think this is needed to fully appreciate the BB songs. Songs from first 3 albums are certainly heavier more often and are more traditional heavy/power metal songs. However, the new ones are also good but have different attributes. For example, deeper lyrical themes, more melodic, more dynamics, more diverse musically. It's only natural to have preferences but this doesn't make something absolutely good or absolutely bad.
Welcome to Finland, we have so much decent metal if we went nuts for everything we'd fucking die. Only 3 bands i've seen get crowd go fucking nuts here are Wintersun, Moonsorrow and Turmion Kätilöt.
