That’s honestly a small issue lmao it’s kinda hard to tell where he is on the field since he uses a bouncing animation but the higher range makes him zero skill so it’s not anything to worry about.
Wave reflect would be so cool if it reflects the currently non-present waves, like a lv.7 wave hitting on the 3rd wave, the remaining 4 waves would be reflected.
really good true form, it just strenghtens his most important stats without adding anything weird. Good Job PONOS but also calm down you're making the game too easy 💀
@@InsertFunnyThingHeretbf, getting to and beating floor 50 of infernal tower is probably top 3 hardest things in battle cats imo, so esoteric uril is fine tho a bit overtuned. Slime tf is absolutely fucking nuts and I can't believe they put it behind 2 stages are that are 1. The same as the original stage without cat combos, and 2. Easier than both prior stages. Maybe this is their wake up call to make zl harder
Aku doge is sitting in the corner crying rn saying "I thought what we had was special" Edit: the cocaine lighthouse is no longer a myth, there is no other explanation on why this exists other than they found the keys again
I love how this true form gets a premiere despite just being a normal unit, not even like a legend rare, just a normal guy. Anyway, slime true form is so cool, everything i could've wanted is here, very great buffs for my favourite unit in the game
While I was hoping for a lethal strike survive or wave/surge immunity or something, this true form is sick. He can be use in basically any situation now.
To me, I don't mind the op af true forms, or powercreep in any regard really. Battle cats at it's core is not a competitive game. I like seeing stuff that was considered impossible become easier, it makes the game more accessible and fun for people who don't have the time, patience or ability to use them. I, for example, would rather use an op unit to get past a stage I am stuck on than grind away lots of time that I could invest otherwise. Especially since if I feel like doing a stage the old difficult way, I can just not use the new op stuff. For me it's a win win situation
Totally agree. If i feel like the games too easy, i can just remove uril from my lineup and use yoshimoto. But goddamn u best believe i aint gonna complain if i can just get pp souls 3 stars over with easily thanks to these true forms
The only issue powercreep causes to everyone is that it makes it so the meta shifts to revolve around that certain unit. Courier is a perfect example. Because he is a monster against early behemoth enemies and incredibly easy to unlock, he’s made every future behemoth have mountains of HP so they don’t get absolutely destroyed by him. However, this means that you pretty much have to Courier because no one else can dish out enough damage like that. In a tower defense game, variety keeps them alive and powercreep can sometimes decrease the variety of units used in levels
The image of Manju sniping Gardeneel from halfway across the map with it's wave and onetapping it instantly really says everything you need to know about how cracked this guy is
They unfortunately haven’t been doing that so far, but soon we will be entering mid ZL and maybe crowned ZL. Looking forward to mega boosted advent bosses.
I kinda love and hate the slime cat true form at the same time The speed buff is a really cool buff but not a huge fan of the amount of new stepping stones he’s given. It dumbs him down super hard. What I loved about slime cat was that he was a low investment and high reward unit that required you to understand the matchups and timing to maximize the value. He still keeps the low investment and high reward… not so much the latter
Well, don't be surprized to find out that ponos adds an enemy with wave block. It would only be fair, since we already have multiple cats with wave blocking.
@@Andrew-pq3lj Li'l Eraser is literally better than normal eraser plus he is not that insanely good to begin with, not even normal S tier Considering he'd just get oneshot he's just a double cost Mohawk later down the line Eraser is off the list. Dasli joins and kicks Manic Eraser off the list too. He's like.. top 10-15 but not top 5. White Phono comes in at 3rd. 1. Dasli 2. Can Can 3. Destiny Phonoa 4. Slime/Rock 5. Rock/Slime
@@cormacmccarthy1889 Lil eraser is slower and also is only viable later when you boost him, tank is viable the entire game. Many, many players have lil erasers that are far worse because getting a maxed lil cat is a pain (i have mine maxed but still) taking into account the entire game, eraser is much more useful. Not taking into account accessibility would be a crime here lol. As for Dasli, shes not no. 1, Id say top 10, but if I had to play the game without dasli vs without meraser/eraser id choose to give up dasli any day of the week (i dasli carry a lot btw) she is super busted as a generalist obviously, but other specialists can replicate her damage against their targets, same with phonoa. Meanwhile, literally 99.9% of stages manic eraser is very useful, and eraser is almost as irreplicable. Picture playing through the game without the erasers, it would be extremely painful, meanwhile, people (especially people who use ubers) play though the game with no issues with no dasli. There are no meatshields that can replicate what the erasers do, and while no ubers can replicate the capabilities of dasli and phonoa, many ubers (and special legends for that matter) can replace them and perform good enough to win, which is all that matters in the end. Will it be harder without their hard carry? Yes. But with specialist ubers and the right lineups, dasli and phonoas feats can be replicated. There is no lineup or alternate strategy that can replace the erasers. I'll admit eraser falls off end game a bit, meraser is still just as good though. Considering you get eraser for clearing the first stage in the game, and hes near essential for 95% of the game after that, I think being in no 2 is fair. An argument could be made for putting eraser lower and I'd accept that, somewhere top 5 or high top 10 would still be reasonable taking into account end game falloff. Meraser is indisputably no 1 for me though. Thats my opinion anyways, its a funny cat game so you can think what you want I think we can agree that all of these cats are busted at least lol
They went so overboard with slimes tf and I’m so happy because it’s literally in like 99% of all my lineups, probably is the same for everyone else. It’s gotta be like a top 10 or 5 unit in the game now
I remember when I thought slime would get a health increase because ponor wouldn’t give an already OP unit good buffs right? (This was around slime’s release) BOY WAS I WRONG.
I feel it should also be noted that due to the range increase, jelly now outranges a massive amount more enemies. Before it wasnt uncommon for gory, kang roo, otter and variants of such units to get a singular hit with their fast attack speeds. Now though, jelly outranges most of them and the few he doesnt he is only 10 or so range behind, which gives a very small area for the enemy to hit jelly before he gets the attack off.
Slime Cat has ascended beyond what anyone thought was possible. Now all we gotta do is wait 5 years for ponos to add advent ultra forms where slime cat gets a 60% damage increase and a level 10 wave.
No, it gets level 10 wave, rebound attack, guaranteed survive, 250 range, 30 speed, and 50% chance of savage blow. Also slow against every trait. Who cares about balance anyways right?
still waiting for daliasan true form 😪 jokes aside, this is one of the most deserved T forms in the game. An already beast of a unit becoming even more broken than before (somehow) and powercreeping everything into oblivion
This is one of those units like True form Uril that I had no idea was stupidly overpowered until seeing an Xskull review, and will now be crammed into all my loadouts. Thanks Battle Cats Dad
The Crème de la crème of 13.6. I can't wait to get this tomorrow. If Ponos keeps giving us these OP true forms, one can only imagine the invasion of Revival of Origin 4 Crown. It's the only reason Ponos has been releasing these true forms for these Merciless Cats. I bet Phantom Cat is the next one to get their true form.
Kasli the Bane is a very powerful unit when it comes to stats. The combination of high health and 5 knockbacks leads to her staying alive for a long time when summoned. Thanks to the powerful Surge, she is also able to deliver high and consistent damage to midrangers and backliners, such as Le'noir and R.Ost, while also intercepting incoming peons and keeping enemies that are extremely easy to knockback at bay, such as Gory variants, Brollow, Rain D. and Mr. Puffington. Lastly, she can even be used for "base trapping": if you have her hit a base and trigger a boss wave, her Surge will instantly hit and severely cripple anything that comes out, sometimes making a massive difference. Just remember that due to her blindspot and most of her damage being concentrated in the surge, she will not perform too well against Zombies, short ranged pushers like Bore or One Horn, as well as surge-immune enemies. However, a tanky unit can cover her blind spot, making her usage even more viable. Damage isn't all she has though: her Curse ability lets her disable enemies' Knockback, Slow, Freeze, Weaken, Warp, Curse, Dodge Attack and Toxic abilities. Since it has good uptime, this makes her even more useful against enemies with annoying abilities like Super Metal Hippoe, Li'l Doge, Crazed Axe Cat, Henry, Winged Pigge, Gobble, Heavenly Herald Papuu, Bakoo and all Relics. There are, however, rare instances in which her Curse ability can be counterproductive, such as against some units with Warp, who would become unable to warp any attackers they reach to safety. This is most notable against Final Boss Giga God. Her immunities to Wave Attacks, Warp, Curse, Weaken and Surges further help her with the threat posed by such abilities, especially in Uncanny Legends, Cats of the Cosmos and The Aku Realms where they are prominently active. Overall, she's an extremely powerful unit that holds her edge all the way into the endgame and has almost no drawbacks.
Hello everybody my name is Markiplier and welcome to Five Nights at Freddies, an indie horror game that you guys suggested in mass, and I saw that Yamimash played it and he said that it was really really good; so I’m very eager to see what is up - and that is a terrifying animatronic bear *reads off script* family pizzeria looking for security guard to work the night shift. Oh, 12:00 A.M, the first night. If I didn’t want to stay the first night, why would I stay any more than five? Why would I say anymore than two - hello. Okay...Hello? Hello - oh, ah I can’t move. That’s a creepy skull...There’s creepy things on the wall - Oh, hello. *Phone Guy begins dialogue* “Hello, hello hello,” Hi! “Uh, I wanted to record a message for you, to help you get settled in on your first night.” Eugh.. “Um, I actually worked in that office before you, and I’m finishing up my last week now as a matter of fact. So, I know it can be a bit overwhelming..” Euuagh..! “But I’m here to tell you, there’s nothing to worry about,” Agh.. “You’ll do fine! So, let’s just focus on getting you through your first week..” Okay! Sounds go- “Ah, let’s see..First there’s an introductory greeting from the company that I’m supposed to read - i-it’s kind of a legal thing, you know, ahm - ‘Welcome to Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza-” Okay “‘..A magical place for kids and grownups alike-” *Mark wheezes indistinctly in the background* Heheha.. “..Where fantasy and fun come to life,” Eugha..! “”Freddy Fazbear entertainment is not responsible for damage to property or person, upon discovering that damage or death has occured, a missing person report will be filed within ninety days or as soon as property and premises had been thoroughly cleaned and bleached, and the carpet’s have been replaced,’ blah blah blah - now that might sound bad, I know, but-” Yeah! “-There’s really nothing to worry about! Uh, the animatronic characters here do get a bit quirky at night, but do I blame them? No, if I was forced to sing those same stupid songs for twenty years, and I never got a bath, I’d probably be a bit irritable at night too. So just remember, these characters hold a special place in the hearts of children, and you need show them a little respect, Right?” Okay! “-Okay-” Ha-okay! “So just be aware, the characters fo tend to wander a bit-” Nehaheugh- “They’re one some kinda of free-roaming mode-” hehauhuhugh! “Uhh.. Something about their servos locking up if they get turned off for two long,” Oohoohoo- “Uh, they used to be allowed to walk around during the day, too, but then there was the bite of eighty-seven.”
one more thing great about the range increase is that in niche situations jelly dumpling can survive longer where slime could not, potentially allowing it to get off more attacks
If this was slime’s true form, imagine what rock cat’s true form will be… And it’ll be equally as obtainable due to the stage being easy as hell anyway, unless ponos adds another batshit insane restriction like doremi.
This is an objectively phenomenal tf, but I can't help but feel that this removes some of the fun with slime cat. Actually requiring a modicum of skill (even if he was still sorta easy to use) made slime fun, and making him completely braindead just sorta removes some of that excitement lol. I'm hoping for fewer tfs in the future to go this route because it just doesn’t really make for interesting gameplay imo.
I'm not gonna shut anyone down for thinking this is a good thing, obviously, but historically, I think powercreep has always made more levels uninteresting chores instead of the thoughtful challenges they should be.
Best cat is really difficult to rank because it can either be based off hard carry or pure versatility. I would probably choose versatility methodology from which Slime might rank top 5.
@@XskullDrSkull Imagine if they made a Uber unit with like 2 damage at level 30 and 4 damage at level 60, but then had like a million HP, low costs and all resistance/immunity. Basically making an eraser cat on crack.
So, slime becomes a sniper rifle, got it. Tbh if the only thing Slime TF added was wave and surge immunity it still would have been a huge powerspike. But what do we have instead? A railgun incarnate.
New ability: wave and surge blocking surge (surge stays for a lot longer but does piss damage and blocks all wave attacks and surges that land on or behind it.)
I used to think I’d never even have slime cat when he first came out because I sucked at the game but now I have him and I’d say I have a decent chance to get his tf
As someone who just got around to doing UL, having both Maize and this silly lil' guy right after dogumaru makes me think it'll go smoother than 3* SoL.
I think balance of slime tf would be fine if like Uril, it would essentially require UL true forms to get unless one resorted to cyber and sniper stack or had superfeline tf. That way UL still retains some of its difficulty, but starred UL won’t be so cancerous. ZL was already pretty easy even without Uril tf and slime tf so I don’t really care if the already easy stages get easier. If anything, it might make ponos make ZL actually difficult.
@XskullDrSkull I can't see idi theming wise becoming Socrates power creep, probably just gonna give her sage slayer and call it a day. Jaggy on the other hand is a literal demon, all my money into him becoming the anti christ to sages
My babbling about the game getting easier and the strong units getting easier to play and more global counters (basically OP units being generalists) on your legends ranking just got much more relevant... At least slime used to be skilled
What I did was use courier and maglev to clear the peons first then immediately spawn darktanyan while timing him to not get cursed then let him kill the 1st rain d (which shouldn't take long when he gets strengthened) then spawn izanagi as soon as you can to help kill the sleipnir and then spawn in the rest of your line up (I used dark iz cus no other curse immune unit and she's quite fast). Phono might be of use but if mother v gets kbd then she is able to hit phono during his idle animation so be careful.
Tbh, compared to stuff like quarterback, colonel sanders and british ( and maybe medusa) this is an actually tame buff imo. The problem was that slime was obviously a unit who was just at the edge of being balanced and broken. And since true forms generally give at leat one buff to a unit, we kinda should've known what would be happening on this time. Oh and I literally rember that people like Markiquad and Canned juice had just called this true form "good" not "OP" so I guess this shit is just going to be like courier's.
Just unlocked the true form 52 minutes before the stage closes, hell yeah time to break the game Though I am a little concerned about what stages Ponos is gonna design with true form slime in mind, are we about to head into hyper-backliner hell lol Ah well I'm only at UL12(been lazy) so I get to break those stages at least
Because english players might not know what Manju is(?) I assume they name it Jelly Dumpling because it’s more straightforward but idk Manju would’ve had better cultural representation.
also EN players can continue to still call him “jelly” because that would make sense because its in the name of his TF which therefore means you can call him slime too since we are so used to hearing slime and jelly and since jelly is ok slime is ok ponos mightve made the right move because now we dont have to adjust to calling him a new name for a unit that has been out for so long
