The Icon sounds incredible.

It seems like we have found a great balance between light swinging and end loaded - the way you swing the Icon is just incredible. The timing and weight transfer is the chef's kiss for sure. Rawlings leadership made HUGE calls to create this bat and change it all and its paying dividends.

I think that the atlas is so close that it's not worth the extra 200 bucks, and here in MN it's usable in cold weather and it being alloy it won't have that scare in the back of my mind of it breaking

Hey Will, I am playing up 1 year so it’s my first year in 14u. After watching a bunch of your reviews, I decided on the CatX for my first bbcor and it’s great, nice and light-swinging for a smaller kid like me. Got my exit velo pr 74.5 with it the other day. Appreciate you guys for all the help!

Both of my high school boys are very happy with the CatX. Both use the same bat. Both believe the bat is getting hotter and hotter. Between tee work at the house, practice or a game everyday there has to be over 1,000 swings already on the bat. As a father that has to buy these bats I’m extremely happy with the reliability/durability of the Cat series. Heck they could still use their Cat 7 if it wasn’t a 32 inch. Obviously I can see though that it is not the hottest bat out there.

Man even though I don't play anymore I want to go buy a Icon just to play around with lol. It sounds so good. Almost like a big league wood bat. Keep up the great work!

Last Christmas I bought a CatX bbcor for my 14 years old kid, and after 3 weeks of indoor practice, the bat was dead. The Marucci sent us a new bat (warranty bat), and after 2 weeks of indoor practice and 1 week of spring training in Florida, the new bat was dead too. We emailed the Marucci, but didn't get the response yet.

The one sport I never tried and now after finding your channel and BINGE watching just about everyONE of your videos, I am wishing I played baseball! Thanks brother!

I'm only helping coach for my sons 10u team and don't play any ball myself anymore, slow pitch or baseball, but watching this icon makes me want to grab one myself just to go hit BP. I still have my high school 33/30 Omaha gold and 33/30 Rawlings Liquid metal Big Stick (under rated bat i feel) that i'll occasionally hit in the cage with when my kid has cage practice. Feels nice being able to hop in the 80mph cage and still hit with the high school kids and im twice their age now :/ Any good spots to pick up a bucket of baseballs for the cheap?

I’ve bought the atlas twice now. Each time it has arrived it has arrived broken from the inside (I’m assuming the vibration dampener). The price is hard to pass but it’s clear there’s going to be huge durability issues. The first time I received the bat the inside of the bat chipped and left a massive ring/vibration . The second time it wasn’t until I hit it in just the wrong spot during bp that it did the same. Worst part is, you end up waiting forever for restocks just because how hot this bat is on the market, sizes above a 29-30 are non existent it seems. At this point I would say it’s worth the extra $80 to get something like a cat x where your getting a very similar if not better overall bat with more durability. I really hope Louisville changes something because I would love to game it in the future if it wasn’t for the lack of durability

I like the sound of composite better than aluminum, but I'm still a fan of those $100 String Kings!!! Kudos to Rawlings though.

My son just broke the end cap off the Rawlings Icon 32/29. He is a Freshman in High School. 5' 9" 140 lbs hitting exit velos averaging 75 mph maxing out at 87 mph. He also swings the Atlas 32/29 and same with the velo. Atlas definitely more durable. He also likes the swing weight on the Atlas more than the Icon. He's still so mad he broke his Icon. Lol. He likes these 2 bats most of all he has. Here is his bat list. All 32/29. Atlas, Icon, Voodoo One, Stinger Missile 2 & Stinger Nuke 2. The Goods 2 Piece 33/30 for me. I love my Goods. I'm 46 and can't quite crank it like I used too. I average 80-85 mph maxing out at 94 mph. We have a Hittrax and have father and 1v1 every Sunday night. We love your videos and only buy what you rate high on your channel. Keep it up. What up What up from Rockwell NC

Icon gives me old school easton stealth comp bat vibes I absolutely loved that bat playing little league with that thing

I have the icon I got it from a friend from the pg event in arizona my first one snapped in half from the connector piece taking bp swings after swinging it for about a month (was still a prototype so that might be why) but my second one has been great

the noise of the ball coming off the Icon is soooo unique and fulfilling

You should compare this to the earlier cf insane Demarini bats since they’re both fairly endloaded for 2 piece composites

The catX sounds louder then the Atlas. The icon has a nice crisp crack to it

Seemed he was getting all the way around on the pitches with the icon and the balls were pitched outside for the cat x and went back side . That does make a difference

Hey will, I’m contemplating on either a 33 icon or 34. I have relatively quick hands and can swing both just wondering if there is a better choice for better pop. Couldn’t find what inch your icon was might have missed it but if you or anyone can help it would be appreciated. P.S. should I hold off on the icon and see if it gets banned

Okay I am here to find out what is the best wood bat to swing I’ll start swinging one here in about the next 3 months so I’m starting to look into one which wood bat is the best ? I know everyone’s response is an opinion but I’ve never swung one so I don’t know I was either going old hickory victus or marucci which would be the best

Zak may have the lower velos, but he is very good at getting backspin on his hits. That's why those balls just carry regardless of the exit velo being on the lower end. P.S Should also add that his launch angle plus the backspin helps.

I dunno I took some dry swings with a 33/30 Icon in the store the other day and that bat was pretty heavy much heavier feeling than the Goods 1 and 2 pieces and way heavier than my sons 32/29 Atlas and 32.5/29.5 CatX (I know they are a little smaller and lighter) but the Icon was really really noticeably heavier feeling wasn't even close. Just grabbing it off the rack and feeling it in the hand is a no from the get go. It does sound absolutely phenomenal though. Just me but IMHO not worth the extra $200 and 120 over the other 2
