The last four vertebrae of a Mamenchisaurus tail were fused, which could indicate a tail club similar to the mamenchisaurid Omeisaurus. Unless there's a recent paper disproving it that I missed (please let me know if that's the case), a tail club is plausible on Mamenchisaurus.
@@jurassicfreak2579 interesting however the Mamenchisaurus' tail wasn't whip-like it's a common misconception because of the Mamenchisaurus' design in Jurassic Park The Lost World and its arcade counterpart
@@Kiryu_Negs_Mg21 Yeah, I actually did know about that. I've read that it's likely Mamenchisaurus couldn't use it's tail (with or without club) as a defensive weapon, but I just decided to take some creative liberties on the way dinosaurs could move for these animations 😅
@@jurassicfreak2579 Well, after a lot of thinking about it. If it didn't have a usable tail it would of defeated the point of having a tail club so if it did have an unusable tail then there would be no reason for the club.
@@Kiryu_Negs_Mg21 There are many theories tho, such as the club serving as some kind of sensory organ. And if it didn't have a club after all, the fused vertebrae would remain a mystery, so it's just anyone's guess for now afaik.
