There are a few question: 1. How is the compatibility with Headsets/Active Earprotection similar as the Peltor Comtac or Clones? (Plugs ant suttf?) 2. Would it be legal to use it in EU Area/Germany? As example, PM446 is limited to 0,5 W, a bunch of frequencies is also obtained and regulated... 3. Will you get the CE label for Battlelink? So far there is no documentation avaible on your website for now. At least I have trouble to find it. 4. How far does Battlelink reach in common areas, 40-100 m or even further? So far the website states 300 m, but not under wich conditions. 5. Would trigger the Bolt of a GBBR the Voice-Activation? 6. But can it run Crysis?
Hi DerGepard, Thanks for your questions, sorry it took a while to respond. 1. There is no compatibility just yet. But we really want to get this sorted out and therefore we are working hard on this. 2. Yes this is legal as it uses regular Bluetooth frequencies found in earplugs, phones etc. 3. The product has a CE label, we haven't gotten to put it on there yet. No worries :) 4. 300m in perfect conditions. This means that it's dependant on the field you play at. A lot of foliage or thick walls can limit the range. As far as we've experienced it's commonly around 100-150m and with good conditions it can go to 250-300m. 5. Some very loud gbb noices could trigger the voice-activation. But these are very very faint sounds through the speakers that it's not annoying at all. I actually like it, because it lets me know my mate is in a fight and I know I need to rush in to help out. 6. Definitely not, but what can? :P Hope I answered all your questions!
@@Bigglenndaddy Hey Glenn! Feel free to check out battle-link.com for the prices of the Single & Duo packs and shipping estimate to your region. Thanks for your question! :)
So Battle Link allows for seamless conversation similar to an online gaming headset, correct? What about heavy breathing or background noise like others shooting around you or you, yourself shooting? Does Battle Link cut this noise out and prioritizes the main voice of the operator or does it have all audio go through including breathing, shooting, other people screaming around you, etc?
Yes, that’s correct! Pretty much all ambient field noises are cancelled out. The only things that get through the noise gate are you speech (when speaking directly into the mic) and loud replicas like GBBR’s. AEG’s and HPA replicas not so much but it’s possible with a very loud AEG. We actually like that our Gbbr fire makes it through noise cancellation because it lets us know when the other is busy fighting. Breathing can also come through if the person is breathing directly into the mic. Usually we just need to make that person aware they’re doing that so they can breath over the mic instead of into it. The other thing is that the volume can be lowered to the point where you can still understand speech but where the ambient noises are quiet enough to not bother you at all. After a while it just blends into the general ambient field noises. Hope that answers your question! :)
I dont think the always on mic is any advantage like you portray it here have you ever played with a full squad online? the comms are total chaos, you have people breathing into their mic's (you can also hear it in your video examples) and it likely will just cause more issues than it solves on top of that you have the low range of a bluetooth connection (usually just 10-100 meters... thats within shouting range) and the sound doesnt sound better than a good analogue setup (like srsly my baofeng setup is clearer than what you showed here) and 260 bucks per unit is pretty damn expensive, I can get a good digital radio for that price that does anything the battlenet does, and better
yeah, it's a good idea but mired in flaws and the cost is pretty ridiculous for what's on offer vs a $30 baofeng and a cheap shoulder mic with a 3.5 cable to some howard leights
