It's completely up to you but if you do decide upon something may I throw a tactics talk, a battle from Africa during imperialism (the battle at the end of Zulu pherhaps) or something regarding America such as the war of 1812 or battle if bunker hill? Good video and Edward just needed to know when to stop.

Out of the 15,000 cavalry, archers and foot soldiers over 10,000 of them were battle hardened Welsh foot soldiers and archers fresh from Edwards Longshanks invasion of Wales. Apparently while Longshanks was encamped near Edinburgh the Welsh was thinking about joining the Scottish army.
@nyelement007

wallace went to Italy and france i think to ask for help in this war. and they didnt send troops. the welsh longbows are what defeated william Wallace. that was the deciding factor 100pct.
@patvader9780
@patvader9780 2 года назад
@@nyelement007 That and the deciding leadership from Longshanks himself. Wallace just wanted to kill the English and wasn’t a good general, unlike Moray who died at Stirling Bridge. Without Moray Wallace was just another killer with a sword who could lead a guerrilla campaign but not a battle. Defeat the Scottish cavalry, destroy their archers then the immobile schiltrons are easy mean for English/Welsh longbows. Good use of tactics later to be used at Crecy et al.

It didn't matter how many had shields, unless you have a literal shield wall you will be hit. Even if you fend off the first few waves, those are English longbows and can easily penetrate steel, so what do you think they do to wood? Scotts were too poor to have bronze/iron plated shields. Still wouldn't make much of a difference.

@@lolez541 STFU Muppet don't think there was one battle between England & Scotland where Scots had larger Army, Scottish pride was enough. O and btw who's line sits on the throne of England today? That would be Robert The Bruce's line and not long leg Edward the 1st. If you still don't understand the current queen of England is a distant ancestor of The Bruce. Who sat on the throne in England when Scotland joined the Union. A Scot that's who so go read a book or something or stfu. In the 1200s Scotland only had a population of about 1 mill and the English had about 5 mill. England still needed Welch and Irish to stand up to us. English Twat!!!!!

They should've unleashed the wild battle haggis and let them run about savaging the knights n terrifying the horses. It's a well known fact that horses are scared of haggis' ferocious appearance. I think it might be the trunks

@@iMertin90 Wallace was given to Edward I by Scotsmen in Glasgow in 1305 who tried him as a traitor and he suffered the fate of treason. Grim and bloody times. Longshanks son, Edward II was not as good a leader as his father and his poor leadership and the excellent generalship of The Bruce led to his defeat at Bannockburn in 1314. Read books after watching a poor movie if the movie excites your passion in a period of history. I’m English but accept this was 700 years ago and I recognise good and bad on both sides. Not a sore loser😉
