You guys have no idea what it was like playing these 2 missions as a native New Yorker and seeing landmarks you commute past every day turned into a war torn battlefield, these missions were an absolute masterpiece. The amount of detail is amazing, even to the point of having delta team Deploy from Floyd Bennet “Aviator” Field (Bennet Field in game) which is a giant open field/sports complex in Brooklyn which would make sense as a launch cite as its one of the few open areas in the city outside of Staten Island. Also fun fact “Black Tuesday” was one of the infamous days in which the stock market crashed.
I feel you there, I felt the same way with the BO2 campaign here in Los Angeles. The freeway collapse is possibly one of the most surreal scenes in that game
That's how I was with DC and MW2. I was walking through the WW2 monument one day, and I just randomly pictured a red sky, russian migs mixed with American fighters, russian AT helios, and just destruction. Scary kinda.
I actually wish they would have included some missions from the point of view of the police caught in the middle (or a SWAT team kind of mission). Kind of hopeless against heavily armed military invaders, but still, it would have made it more realistic since it's on the homefront.
@@jeffmccowan3164 I'm pretty sure that Military forces deliberately engaging upon Law Enforcement personnel is strictly prohibited though. But playing as them while rescuing civilians makes sense.
17:54 Fun Fact: The sonar on a Russian Oscar II class submarine is so powerful it would rupture every organ in your body if it were to 'ping' you like it's doing here.
Russian Oscar II-class submarines have enough nuclear weapons to wipe out the entire Eastern Seaboard from Portland to Miami. That means the city of Savannah in Georgia could be obliterated, and Atlanta along with it!
Fun fact your everywhere in USA vs Russia videos and USA has recked them in 2018 Syria hahaha your nothing else but a troll laying in your bed with boxes of pizza which your mom buys you must be sad being you
@@jermainesimmons2944 maybe a Dolgorukiyy class SSBN, or a Typhoon class. Oscar IIs are SSGNs. SSBNs carry the nukes while SSGNs carry conventional, but still incredibly devastating, guided cruise missiles.
It only seems like it aged well because the Call of Duty franchise as a whole has not really advanced much over the years. They basically release the same game every year with different maps and storylines, but with the same basic graphics and gameplay experience.
Paul Davis have you played the game graphics get better each year new modes come out and anyways it’s meant to be the same you kill people as a soldier
That was one hell of an opening I'll tell you that. The COD series has always had a fantastic team of directors and cinematographers that created some spectacular moments.
The helicopter fight was amazing with the mini- I mean Death Machine...I really wished this is on the Xbox One S so that I can have so so much fun on this game.
Fun Fact: In the remastered MW1, during the flashback mission to try and assassinate Zakhaev, you can actually kill Makarov & Yuri in the next car over and get a badge for it.
in the game the Ruzzians used a compromised ACS Module to spoof an attack on the West Coast and prevent our satellites from tracking their actual fleet movement, allowing them to launch a surprise invasion down out east coast
And from the fucking east coast the most defended populated part of the mainland us even the capital is on the east. So pulling it off at all without being blown outta the water before you reached land is impressive to say the least
Ultra Gamer. com You’re character was previously a under-cover agent that is actually seen through man previous storylines but is inevitably killed during the “No Russian” mission.
A real life version? Bro. The Russians would be lucky if they were even able to get their ships filled to capacity before we took them down; let alone making it across the ocean or, and I am trying to say this with a straight face, through our coastal defenses. You think Ukraine has produced a lot of dead Russians; we would have new coral reefs from the sheer numbers of dead Russian cunts we’d be leaving behind.
also not that it matters if the shit your in is about to hit the ground but most high speeds like that usually run a retention carabiner on their battle belts for heliborne ops
because attacking our power grid is one of the only actually effective ways to get us to our knees in an invasion scenario. Easier to invade/attack a country when its dealing with internal problems beforehand such as mass looting and the military not having comms.
@@nenpatat5650 emp to a level of tactical usage requires quite a lot of power unless you are using a nuke and it has not a lot of use since most military vehicles have their electronics shielded
At the time of the game's release, certain units in the Army were allowed to use the multi-cam uniforms while almost all others were forced to use the dumb ACU, so it is not that far off. However, most of those units were special forces groups, as you could see men in real videos of Army SF groups wearing them in the early 2010s.
The game is set 5 years in the future from when it actually came out. So alot of stuff had a 'near future' feel to it. Another example is the XM25 grenade launcher
You still see that regular soldiers uses the camo from MW2, meanwhile special forces uses multi-cam. It makes sense since they're the best of the best they should get better gear.
@@AFGuidesHD Well better to overestimate your Enemies? by speaking that they can conquer Europe Which is i admit is a good propaganda just so your people would be ready to fight an equal enemy
As a NYer, I still remember the chills I got playing this mission for the first time. Bennett field (called Floyd-Bennett Field), is a real place and it’s position is accurately portrayed on the map showed during the opening cutscene.
I know a lot of people like to make jokes about how the characters in COD can endlessly sprint with all that gear/ammunition and can take several bullets and recover, but Delta Force is pretty much just that tough. I'll give two examples: 1. During the Black Hawk Down incident in Somalia, a Delta Force operative was providing cover for a downed helicopter pilot. That pilot recalled that operator getting shot multiple times and continued to fight until he was finally killed. He also noted that when the operator was shot, he said "Damn, I'm hit". He noted that he said it in a way that it was like he nicked himself with a knife. Very matter-of-factly. Like it was a mild inconvenience. 2. An Army Ranger once asked a Delta operator for tips on clearing rooms. The operator said this "Just take it to the plate. And keep going."
well yeah have you heard of a little thing called adrenaline? many people involved in shootouts don't even know they get shot until after and nevertheless don't even feel the complete pain of getting shot.
@@asiangaming8409 I liked the story but feel that it could've been made more impactful. Remove the Verdansk mission, make Soap's death more meaningful instead of just a shock for the end, let the devs work on polishing it, let Makarov get away with a few more things and also make the 141 go on the offensive sometimes instead of just reacting to Makarov's plans
I would always play BF3 first and then MW3 because towards the end of BF3 you encounter the Russians and have a huge conflict and little encounters and stuff that connects along the way. Tensions rise. Then in MW3 the Russians attack. I would connect the campaign together lol
Well MW3 only makes sense if you played MW2. That's where the reason of Russia attack is. Make it short American CIA agent was found dead among the no Russian mission. The Russian government thought the Americans orchestrated the attack so they went to war with the U.S.
@@kurochi5606 Well I was playing the games without the thought of it being COD or BF. Was just being open minded and creating my own story line with the games. You should watch that mission BF3 Russian Paratroopers. Russians are working with the terrorist group you've fighting and you are trying to get the nukes before they ship em off or something. I forget "We're just gonna finish one war by starting another, ..."

And as we know now the Russian Federation is actually unable to invade a country just over the border nevermind crossing an ocean to hit a superpower conventionally 😂
If you watch the plot carefully, know that almost the entire Europe was attack with a potent chemical weapon. That's why they are able to penetrate more quickly.
Not full strength though, their troops are 800k soldiers but they only mobilized 200k soldiers, They lost about 20% of their Vehicles and military equipment whereas Ukraine is already above 90%, I don't know why they seem to be deliberately prolonging this conflict and deliberately losing or actually they are short of money, We don't know what Putin's asshole strategy is
@Nunsense no they're not holding back. It's just that their military has terrible logistics problems coupled with the fact that the whole country is rife with corruption so the high command basically looted all the money that was supposed to be for their military. They can't even get spare parts for their vehicles
You can't deny it. Take the consequence of Death out of the equation and the idea of fighting in a war torn city was one of the coolest things ever in your mind.
This game should really be the next one that gets remastered this was such a fun game to play especially with the intro of surge with the waves of enemies kinda like zombies except they alive lol

God I remember finally getting a PlayStation 3 and this game for Christmas and then having to go to sleep. I woke up the next morning, popped this game in and the feeling when the controller first shakes because of the explosions was indescribable. I miss those days
Russia did not want to capture Ukraine, it wanted to force Ukraine to sign peace on Russia's terms with a surprise attack, so Russia did not prepare such a large number of troops, and this ruined the special operation if Russia wanted, then 250 thousand bombs and napalm would have been dropped on Kiev not everything is so clear
Brah fr, I really wished Foley, Dunn and Ramirez made an appearence in this game. I mean its final chapter and they brought back Wallcroft, Griffin, Kamarov and MacMillan, so why not the rangers?
It’s crazy how peak modern warfare missions were in this game compared to mw3 2023 such a fucking disaster and let down this is what the new Modern warfares should’ve been
But without the Russians this time please. Since last year we know their army is crap and pathetic. They can´t beat a country at their border, that has much smaller armed forces and much worse equipped.
It's a completely different Russian Millitary. If you played Modern Warefare 1 you'd see that Russia basically became more powerful than all of NATO combined.
Russian naval ships would never make it within 400 miles of US sea territory without US Navy responding to a counter attack let alone breach into New York rivers.

Russians in MW3: “We invaded the United States and we were winning!” Russians in Real Life: “Welp. Gotta sign up another 100,000 civilians to cover all those professional soldiers we lost during the last seven months into our three day guaranteed victory against our smaller border neighbor”.
Ukrainians had one of the biggest armies in Europe before the invasion. And even now the Russkies continue to push them away only with their private military forces.
yep whereas if the russians were the villains of the next call of duty, there would be only one mission and it would be very easy, it would be mostly cutscenes.
1. Ukraine is a the biggest nation in Europe and has 40mil population... its also very well armed and skilled. In the last 50 years no western nation has fought against such nation. 2. Russia and the west have military technology of the same caliber, russia is better in some areas and america in others...but overall its equal. 3. Ukraine is being sent everything nato can send(russia isnt fighting just ukraine, its fighting whole nato indirectly). 4. When examining the armies in detail there is literally no country better than russia except maybe america. its america and russia fighting for the first place and rest are miles down. 5.
