I put a lot of effort and time into making these videos, I would appreciate if you leave a Like and a Comment. Thank you so much! 😉 See also other Massive Battles: 👉🏻 ru-vid.com/group/PLWCqtiurTeFoc8VZxq6B1zRHD66s4hD2H If there is any battle, historical or fictitious, that you want to see recreated in Age of Empires, let me know in the comments.
This is awesome! I went to the actual battlefield in Osnabrück Germany. The Germans call the battle “Varusschlacht”. There was a mock battle field with walls and even a miniature display of the entire Roman army with auxiliary troops. I recommend a visit!
Really brilliant concept on this channel! I think the visual representation has many advantages as to show the terrain, dynamics of scale and more. If you stay close to the source material and highlight battle details (as done here with different places and the movement of the troops), it can really give a new perspective. I wish you all the best success!
Great content mate, love your videos. Please consider this battles for future videos: 1. Castillon. Ended the 100 years war. 2. Sekigahara. Rise of the Tokugawa Shogunate. 3. Cannae. Hannibal masterpiece at the Second Punic War.
Great Narrating Voice: Check Interesting and captivating way of showing history through AOE: Check Accurate historical facts and information: Check New Sub: Check Keep up the great work!
its kinda cruel for those who live it and i never wish to do but its one of my favorite battles in history i always respect simple tribes men against empires, when simple folk take up arms their will and rage can detroy everything
Roman Vietnam. Gonna cover Delhi Sultanate vs Mongols stuffs? If possible gonna do videos about how empires like Mongols, etc. operated. Discussing about their economy, daily life, etc?
The moment I saw your video I clicked so fast I must have stopped time for a bit by the way it's really good bro each and everyday your content gets better and what troop are those I don't recognise this where can I get them bro any idea bro I really need them after the I saw your using lol bro good job keep it up
Hahahahahaha thanks Alhan. The Roman troops are made up mostly of "conquerors" and "Genoese crossbowmen", who in the "Romae ad Bellum" Mod become Roman legionaries.
This is really good and your videos are a concept I haven't really seen. Really well thought out and pretty detailed, it made me whip out the scenario editor. Only suggestion I have is please narrate or pay a human to narrate your videos. The mispronunciations of some very simple English words doesn't ruin the videos but it definitely sticks out.
The only other battles what comes to my mind are. 1: Bukhara 557 Persians. 2: Kurikara 1183 Japanese. 3: Manzikert 1071 Turks. 4: Kyoto 1582 Japanese. 5: Bari.
In love with these videos, brilliant concept ! Small suggestion : maybe have some sort of floating name or icon for the named characters that you showcase (Like the generals, etc) ? Maybe not at all time, but when you mentionned them etc. Would make it easier to follow them after, during the battle :-) Thanks for the video as always :-)
Thank you very much Lionel. The ideal would be to be able to highlight the heroes in some more visible way. They currently have a yellow aura around them but it goes unnoticed when surrounded by other units. I have been searching if there is a mod that does this but I have not found anything. If anyone knows of one, I would appreciate your comment.
If you're taking battle suggestions, I'd like to see the Battles of Nicopolis and/or Varna for Ottoman vs Western Crusader battles. Another couple battles I'd like to see are from the Hussite Wars. Vitkov Hill and/or Kutna Hora.
The battle of Varna was already on my list. Nicopolis, Kutná Hora and Vitkov Hill just added. I didn't know the last one and I found it very curious after reading about it. Thanks for the contribution.
Please keep going! amaze of your creativity and imagination! if you can do battles of the spanish coquista in the Nueva Granada (usually is in Mexico or Cuba) i will be grateful
@@historyforgamers What about the siege of Cartagena :) Battle of Cartagena de Indias UK vs Spain en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Cartagena_de_Indias or the battle of Vargs's swamp. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Vargas_Swamp
I really love watch these videos, keep going, its amazing. It would be amazing several battles of alexander the great, the siege of Tyre, but I dont really know how to do the bridge stuff in the scenario editor hahaha
From Alexander the Great I have Granicus, Issus, Hydaspes and Gaugamela pointed out. Tyro siege added right now. With the bridge to the city something can be done for sure. Thank you Gustavo 😉.
This is just unfortunately me in a regular game of AOE. Surrounded by towers and arty. With no where to run but back to base. Where they come over to only build towers and I have no units left lol
I live close the supposed battlefield. Why "supposed" till today there are many places that claim to be the offical site of the battle. Today historians think that it was not one single battle but rather ambush and hit and run on the whole collum with was stretching for many kilometers. Its said that the end of the collum never realised that the front of the collum was already being ambushed untill it was much to late. When you visit a part of the ambush/battlesite you realise why it was so deadly. The part that i visited is a bottleneck maybe 25-30 meters between the edge of the stockade/forrest and the swamp. Imagine beeing pressed into a meatgrinder by thousands of marching soldiers.
Yes, it seems that there are still doubts about the true place of the battle. And most sources indicate that it happened that way. Hopefully one day I can visit the place, as I understand there are recreations of the German palisade.
@@historyforgamers Hi, can you tell me how can I get the latest version of this mod? I found v66692-2-1 version, but I can see some updates without any order or proper link such as v71094-0-0-v71094-0-1. Thanks.
@@historyforgamers That mod does not properly. there is not a "RAW UI and Files" item, but just a "RAW UI" in the mod menu. :-( The units in the game look like as mediaeval.
To be fair, it wasnt the germans war efforts that kept the Romans away. It was just that there was nothing to gain from another war against the germans. There were No cities to conquer, No recources to gain, the weather was shit too. If there would have been anything like that the romans would have conquered it. But britain was the perfect Example to stop. There wasnt anything to gain either.
Gracias. ME HAGO SUSCRIPTOR.
Yes, I plan to do battles from that period even if the units are not going to be historically correct. With current AoE2 and their expansions units I could only do battles until the 15th-16th century or so. AoE3 spans the 16th-19th centuries.
@@mq7447 Not at the moment, because I have never used it. I don't rule it out in the future but with the battles you have suggested I can use the AoE2 editor for years 😆.
@@historyforgamers that's great, now that we're talking about suggestions I would like to suggest the following: Battle of Breitenfeld (30 years war) Battle of Fei river (battle between Qin and Jin) Battle of Vienna (1683) Battle of blue waters (Lithuanians vs golden horde) and if you do use aoe 3 please do hohenfriedberg.
Id like to suggest battles, but I feel the comment would be too much long. Apart of significative battles of great conquerors, I suggest to do the battles portrayed in he AoE franchise, and too at least some battle for game civilisation.
You can suggest any of the battles that you like the most. There are many possible ones but you may have several favorites for whatever reasons. Yes, I have already done some of the battles that appear in the historical battles or the AoE campaigns and I will surely do more.
@@historyforgamers I d love to suggest dozens or hundreds. Well ,seeing the channel kings&generals, there you have battles for many years to simulate. Well, a suggestion, I want to do: I guess you know the meme of the circle involving monzonic Asia saying that more than half of mankind lives there. The only monzonic battle u have is Panipat. So I guess that area deserves more representation. And I guess, wich better for the first chinese battle than the Red cliff? Did u saw the movie? The attack scene with fire ships is awesome. Too, woud be good additions the biggest most ancient detailed recorded battles: Meggido and Qadesh.
Yes, I have the three battles you mentioned on my list. It is true that I have only done one related to Southeast Asia. I take note 😉. Thank you so much!
