the ward card was not engaged, if you look up on the official website, rulings, it states that ward is only active when the ward card is engaged, which one can do so when they play the ward card, or at the end of their turn, so ward wasn't actually active and Jose's leader can be attacked

@@skyblue-fp5ul I don't understand how it wasn't engaged. It's clearly sideways. It also makes zero sense to not engage it at this point.

shenlong isn't attacking Jose's leader. At the start of Hank's turn he plays Shenlong, allowing him to draw 2 cards and *discard* 1, then before the end phase, shenlong attacks bellringer, end phase starts and Hank pings the leader with his 3 dracomancer's rites since he discarded a card with shenlong, dealing 6 damage and lowering Jose's leader from 11 to 5 HP
