Every single of Uncommon’s Brooklyn high schools has a drumline program. Since 2021, Uncommon Brooklyn schools partnered with Brooklyn Steppers, a nonprofit that places drumming teaching artists in schools, and also has their own professional line. All schools learn the same cadences but have also composed their own school-specific cadences! On Friday, May 17, 2024 at Uncommon Collegiate High School in Bedford Stuyvesant, their hard work paid off when they battled to see who was the best!
