For starters, you obviously have the "human player" advantage. Second, he employed what he had in a smart manner, like the US did. For the start, he had his up-armored Jumbos take the brunt of the StuG's and Panzer IV's quite easily. He followed by having the 76mm Shermans and M36 GMC's to the rears and flanks tucked away to pick targets off easier. He also had the defending advantage, being able to put multiple shots on targets moving and having a much harder time returning fire (when the Germans stopped, it only placed rounds on them easier). Like the real battle, the Germans learned a hard lesson that tossing a mass of armor at an enemy dug well in can only work for a very short time and if the enemy can stall your attack, they will return the favor and hit hard with reserves. The Germans often lost a lot of armor to US TD's while often taking out far fewer of those much more dangerous TD's picking them off.

Here someone would like to tell a tank officer something about tactics. Did not the Germans develop the tactics of tank combat (General Guderian, General Rommel, General Nehring)? In the time of the Reichswehr tactics studies and training courses in Russia were carried out (because of the conditions of the Treaty of Versailles). Ultimately, among others, the large mass of armored vehicles has led to the victory of Allied. Tank Games are not enough to be a tactician.

Jo Vanaeken The German Army was superior in Firepower and Protection the Sherman in other hands the M4 shermanwas better in speed but the later models of the M4A3 received armor upgrades with was around 50-100mm for the E2 and E8. Only these tanks could easily been replaced but because of the US army government (they said they dont need any now)and the cranes on the harbors it couldnt happen the US had enough completed prototypes which could have entered tge war but which were abandoned by the government. The only complete prototype tank being deployed was the T26E1-1 a variant of the T26E4 "Super Pershing" which combat with the myth that it killed a Tiger II (which i think is impossible) Tanks to encounter the Tiger and Panther M6A2"HVY tank" T22"medium tank" T25 "Medium tank" Tank to encounter the Tiger II, Ferdinand, JadgTiger and Jagdpanter T26E4 "Super Pershing" T26E5" HVY tank" T28/T95 "HVY tank/ Tank Destroyer" T29 "HVY tank" T30 "Bunker Buster/ Tank Destroyer"

Jo Vanaeken yup, a Sherman could only get passed a tiger by outflanking them, and then usually losing like 3 Sherman’s in the process. The tiger’s main flaw though was that it was too complex to make, because a lot of Nazi-Germany’s factories had been destroyed. So the tigers where limited in numbers. (Late in the war that is)
