*NEW* TINECO 2in1 Vacuum and Mop VS Ocedar Bucket Mop-YOU WONT BELIEVE WHAT THE BUCKET MOP LEFT BEHIND! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ufz9qL9J5qU.html
Can you tell me if the mop heads are interchangeable? If I buy the old system and just use a clean water bucket will the blue mop head fit the old handle?
Professional housecleaner here. Just buy 2 plain buckets. Any brand.$1-5 each. Buy any twist mop. $10 Done. One bucket with plain water, another with solution. Keep solution, change plain water often. Do not double dip into dirty water. That is how we clean floors.
Yeah but what if some of us don’t have time for all of that? 🤷🏾♀️ Ever since I bought this new ocedar mop I’ve started enjoying mopping again because I don’t have to spend so much time doing that particular chore.
THANK YOU! 😩 I just got through watching three other VERY frustrating videos on how to use this product, and your presentation is hands down the best one. Thank you, for keeping your presentation simple, thorough, and preventing me from throwing my phone against the wall. Great job! 👍🏾
I love that you compared both the old and the new in one video and even gave a tip for using the old like the new. I didn't have to go all over youtube watching multiple videos. I'm confident after just this one video which mop I want to buy now.
I'm a house cleaner so I little tip so you don't run out of water so fast... when you put your mop in to get it wet when you pull it up before spinning it let the water drain off a bit so it's not dripping wet before spinning it. You save on water big time!!
And you can also not soak it that much and then just put it strait on your floor. I also noticed she uses a concentrated cleaner and way to much of it. So that is going to leave a residue on her floor.
Yeah I was wondering about that I think it would be a benefit if they would put two spinners in there so that when you dip your cleaned mop into the fresh water you could spin that water off right back into the clean water instead of into the dirty water cuz you're just wasting I don't see why they couldn't put spinners on both parts
The best in my opinion; get two of the old spin-mop bucket. One with water for rinsing the dirty mop and wring out, 2nd bucket with clean water with cleaning fluid. Just like 2 bucket car wash method.
You know what works best for me...I buy the regular spin mop...then fill a Orange bucket or blue 5gal bucket from HD or LW with clean hot water with cleaner/scent... dip mop in clean water and ring out in O-Cedar OG spin mop bucket...same result bot you have 5gal of clean water to use! Just dump the dirty water from O-cedar!
I use a swiffer...multiple rags cut to fit...bucket of mop water with rags.1.wring rag 2.place on swiffer 3.mop small portion 4.place dirty rag in empty bucket 5.repeat till done 6.throw dirty rags in wash...done🙂
I purchased the rinse clean mop and excited to use it. I noticed dipping mop into dirty water was the main issue with the original but after thinking about, we've always placed dirty mop into dirty water during the traditional mopping process without the spin option. I am mainly excited about the rinse feature. Thank you for sharing!
That's most likely because you weren't mopping correctly. You should first be laying down a layer of clean mop water with or without a solution. You will then go back over the wet floor to pick up the dirty water. Your water should not get that dirty unless you're immediately picking up the dirty water and putting it into the clean water.
Thank you stacie for the trasnparent and honest review. I was so confused about what to get and now thanks to you, i'm getting the old one with a big ol bucket so i never run out of clean water so fast. p.s: yes I'm a weirdo male who's crazy about cleanliness
@@ronudelson3825 idk about fucked up... The new one's cleaning head is much smaller than the old one. Plus it doesn't really rinse the shitty mop out with that tiny bit of water
I have used the spin mop for a couple of years now, and only thought briefly about putting the dirty mop into the clean water and spinning the water out to continue cleaning my ceramic tile. My tile, by the way, is colored so that if it IS dirty, it doesn't look dirty (if that makes sense). I saw this video and thought, damn, I'm just mopping my floor with dirty water. So I used the 2 bucket system and I can't believe how much cleaner my floor looks!! I bought extra mop heads, so I won't be buying the new system. Thanks for the demo and research and review on this product! Cheers!
Girl, thank you for showing us that cheap alternative! I have the original O'Cedar and after I moped with it the first time I was like, "CRAP!" I immediately regretted that I didn't get the new system. I have plenty of ol' regla-degla buckets in my house, though. lol
You can get a small bucket at dollar tree to fit on other side to put in clean water and solution. But again the mop absorbs lots of the water and to me, it does wring I out enough. Need wheels
Just bought one today. My mom loves hers so I decided I needed one. I just couldn’t understand how to work it even with my mom’s explanation. Your video helps a ton!
Just got the new ocedar As a birthday present.. Yes I asked for a mop for my birthday . I turned 28 .. I have 4 kids and a german shepherd... no one will understand how happy I was when I opened that gift . Lol before I had a bucket from target and a mop from ross ... lasted 6 months and still going ... I would put hot boiling water with pinesol and a splash of ariel liquid detergent.. mop a section , then the mop to the tub and rinse out the mop with the hottest water that comes out of my tub faucet, and then with my clean rinsed mop put it back in the mop water and back and forth and back forth .... it was alot of work . But efficient.
omg you are so smart! Thank you thank you thank you. I literally just bought the older version and didn't realize they came out with something new. So this helps me feel better about the older version with the bigger spinner. In fact I MISSED my old Joy bucket cause it's so comfortable to hold and carry. So this is a perfect excuse to keep using mine.
Yeees !!... someone who hacked the new epensive system like I did... The only difference is I found a cheap dollar store bucket that fit inside the spin bucket (one that does not quite touches the bottom of the spin bucket) I poked a few holes in the thin dollar store bucket to make a slow leak so that some of the dirty water drips down when the mop goes in for more water... I use half a bucket of water at a time and add water to the dollar store bucket as needed. Its good for about a bucket and a half before having to empty the dirty water.. This hack has minimized mopping with dirty water and Im not stuck with 2 expensive mopping systems. Im so glad you gave your opinion and hacked this! We pay so much for mopping systems that maybe we really dont need to... thanks
Great review. Nice comparison. Although this is small, you could have mentioned the mop handle holder on the new system. Now you don't have to lean the handle against the wall when you are not using it. Hope that makes sense.
I just bought the clean rinse system. I like the fact that it spins the water. It cost more than I thought but it's better than regular mopping system I feel.
I love my original spin mop. I purchased one to give as a gift to a cousin but my wife said don't give a mop as a Christmas gift so I still have it. I'm gonna try your "tip" and use the second spin mop bucket for "clean" water and my old spin mop bucket for dirty rinse water!
After watching several video's this one hits all the good and bad points and most especially a work around to keep from spending another $50. Well Done!
Oh my goodness I wish I had seen this 2 weeks ago! I agree, bucket reservoir too small! Plus when I pump the new one it wobbles, making me think it's going to tip over. I was just able to mop my small kitchen before water ran out. I will probably give the new one to my son and use your trick and keep my original. Had I seen this video first, I would have saved myself $45! Thank you for reviewing!
The dirty bucket can hold a ton of volume, more so than the clean bin. For quick cleans I just fill the main bucket with my solution mix, then open the red tab so that it fills half back into the resovoir and then close it again. Filling from the little hole can be tedious. You can fill both the open resovoir AND the inner container right off the bat as well. So after doing the above, I just top both off for larger cleans.
Thanks for the video. I have started using a bucket of clean water and then using the spin mop system to wring out the excess dirty water. Something of a pain given my bad back but it does give me the clean water I need.
I noticed your grout. I just finished making mine look brand new. Grouteez. The kit comes with the cleaner and then the sealer. You do not have to get on your hands and knees. It comes with a tough brush that you connect to a telescoping pole. Stuff is fantastic. I do not want to replace the floors because they look like new again. To spread the sealer it is easy with a cup and a small foam brush.
Thank you for this review. I'm a commercial guy and I was curious if these actually worked. I clean a steel mill and the problem I usually have is my hot water gets cold and I end up changing it out so the degreaser can do a better job. O cedar is a very creative company but I just don't think their stuff would hold up in a commercial environment.
We used them in a warehouse and found that they really didn't hold up well at all. We switched to only kitchen and bathroom use for which they are great. The mopheads kept popping off after washing them in a machine washer because they lost the secure attachment to the mop head. The actual mop handle isn't super sturdy either, and one broke. Lastly, the bucket foot level kept breaking and we would have to buy another one. It just wasn't meant for that type of surface area, level of grime, or frequency of use. I have one at my home though, and it is great for the day to day home cleaning.
Thanks for your review. I have a big garage job. I was going to steam clean it with my steam mop, but it really was not doing the trick. So I went down to Home Depot and bought the O'cedar Rinse Clean mop. I want more water on the concreate floor for this job. So I will not be wringing the clean water out of the mop before I start mopping. I will put some cleaner in the clean water to cut through what I need to mop through. I'll let the soapy clean water sit on the concrete for a few minutes before I do a strong mopping. I watched a few videos on this because I needed to learn how to fill it properly. I'm all set to go. BTW, I liked your video the best.
Extremely helpful, one observation and not sure if already commented - the old system final water being darker tho same floor cleaned makes sense since in the blue system it’s getting filled with unused water each time wrung. Thank you!!
This was very instructive. Am considering the new RinseClean spin mop system, but I think I'll wait until they enlarge/improve the spin side mechanism. This has been a pretty common observation/complaint on Instagram and RU-vid reviews, so I figure they'll address it soon. I wish they had a more convenient filling system that didn't require a dead lift of 12 pounds of water😂. Maybe an optional detachable fill hose of some sort?
My old spin mop had broken and they don't sell the actual mop separately so I got the new system and I really like it the small wringer was also a bit of an annoyance for me but I really like how the clean water stays fresh and HOT, definitely worth it as a first purchase or needing a new mop like me but not needed if you already have a mop you like.
I thought of using the extra bucket as well. The ring mops get caught in the mechanism and now you have to touch the dirty mop to unhook the twisted strings. Due to my ocd I mop a few times a day. I would get this so I can clean my walls with the extra head. On a different note why dump water in the sink when there's a toilet?
I love my Cedar Mop. I use to HATE mopping floors but now I don’t mind at all. I do believe I could use more water than I have been using. Thank you for your advice.
I’ve had the spin mop for like idk 8 yrs or so. I’ve been using a second bucket for years but I started using 2 extra buckets. I bought the new one because I needed a new mop handle. This will be awesome for me. The reservoir will hold my rinse water and my second bucket will hold my clean water with solution in it. I love it
I personally found the best way to mop (I have several pets) is similar to washing a car; presoak (especially in the kitchen), wipe, and follow with a 2 bucket system (warm rinse water and warm soapy water) to finish it off. You can go in and mop again for a deep clean and polish it off afterwards, but I avoid polish due to it building up in low traffic areas. I find it much more efficient and cost effective than mopping as with the normal method as I'd have to exchange the water up to a dozen times rather than filling up 2-3 buckets, plus the idea of spreading bathroom gunk to the rest of the house freaked me out.
This was GREAT! I almost bought the new & improved one, even though I have the original. Your tip at the end was perfect. However, I got confused in the beginning because 1) you were talking really fast & 2) your demos of taking the mop from one side to the other were slightly choppy to show your step-by-step actions in order. But overall, I was well informed as to what I needed by the end.
Absolutely agree. The old system is better I mopped my entire kitchen and dining room floors with the old spin bucket and mop set. I washed the floors 3x at first til the water poured out clear and I knew my floors were clean. I love my spin mop. O Cedar is my favorite because I don’t have to wring it out by hand and The squeeze mops don’t really work well. Hot water is key ❤ I washed my floor with hot water and dawn dish soap ❤ my favorite ❤️
When you compared the two water samples from both systems, you should have done it w/o any cleaning solution to get a vivid idea of what the water looks like reusing the "dirtier" water.
Thank you so much. I have the old system and I really do like it a lot. I am going to try your hack as I really do not want to spend $50 on a new system. I am really glad I came across your video.
I have the new O Cedar. If you're running out of water, you were using too much. Don't keep the red lever open. Let in new water only when you're ready. You only need enough water to dampen the mop. Also, just get an extra pack of mop heads and change them instead of using the same one throughout your cleaning. It literally takes 5 seconds to change one.
Probably best to add tiny amounts of cleaning solution into the open air part of the blue bucket instead of into the closed part of the blue bucket if we want to avoid issues trying to dry/ foam
I'm curious (& confused) about the difference in the dirty water comparison when you poured them out. Wouldn't it mean that the new system doesn't clean as well if the dirty water that dumped out was "cleaner" looking than the dirty water from the original system? I would think that both systems should have the same dirty water, one shouldn't be cleaner than the other, unless it's not actually cleaning as well. My husband just bought the new system and it seems a bit pointless that you are just putting a dirty mop into the clean water side. I get that you can spin some of the mess from the floor into the dirty side, but not much considering the mop head was already spun/wrung out before using it on the dirty floor. They really should have come up with a 3 chamber system so the dirty mop head could be "rinsed" then spun and then placed in the clean water side. Or maybe I'm overthinking it.
This! I completely agree. Unless there are 3 chambers, so the mop can actually be rinsed in between, it seems pointless to me. I just mop the regular way, with the original, and change out the water when it starts to look dirty. I’m not eating off the floor, so it is good enough. 🤷♀️
Hey! Thanks for sharing bc i bought one of those rinse clean ocedar today from Lowes but it's still in the 📦 but after watching your video! I will be trying it out soon! Everything has pros&cons😊👍🏽
I bought the new rinse clean bucket as well and I used to think (with the original o cedar mop head) I wish it was bigger, now the new one is way smaller. Not a huge fan of the new one. Just my opinion!
I have seen someone only adding a little bit of clean water each time so you don’t fillet and then spin it out you only get the amount you need in there and then spin the excess dirty water out. Hope it helps
We've been using a small plastic trash can in the single spin mop bucket for about 3 years. As the clean water empties and the dirty water fills, the little trash can floats up. Awesome mop!
I wish the mop had the “rope” like the old fashioned mops. I think the micro Fibers are useless wet, plus it is very difficult to get any solids out of the micro fiber
Yes I’ll be honest about it since purchasing it as well. I don’t know why they made the mop smaller it’s inconvenient; my floor didn’t get smaller. I think this is best for small apartments or houses that are fully covered in carpeting with just bathroom and kitchen tile. Otherwise for a home/ apartment that has linoleum, wood, tile flooring all over this will not get the job done. This will require more work for each room to clean. I honestly wish I didn’t buy it and stick with the old one add an additional bucket and make that my clean water. I would just use the o cedar bucket for wringing out the dirty water.
If you fill the clean water to the line it's plenty of water to mop the whole kitchen. I fill to the line mop the kitchen spin it then kind of dry mop the kitchen to soak up dirty water and spin again I was able to clean my entire apartment granted my apartment is only 900 sqft and still had water left cleaning all floors essentially twice!!
