Clicked for the cheek bones, watched for the sync of product preferences. Have used the kinky curly in my early days but my hair doesn’t bend to it anymore. Currently use Big Poppa, 808 and Bee Girl depending on the style.
I found I hated the Pattern scent and had some reaction to it as well, so you’re not alone! I had to place a return but customer service was awesome! I didn’t even have to send the items back, they just gave me a refund but I had to donate them to a women’s shelter and give some to my mama. The Palo Santo scent is 100 times better, it’s not my favorite but I don’t have a reaction and it dissipates. Hopefully they make that scent an option for the rest of their products

I 💖your entire look! The Doux Big Poppa Gel with the Mousse, and Miche Tropical Gel w/ the Sculpt gel are two of my fav wash n go stylers. I use the Cecred and Moroccan Oils for sheen.
😂 I love them all but I haven’t tried Kinky Curly anything. I’m gonna have to try the custard. The curly magic and Design Essentials mousse is a bad combo. It’ll leave this gooey residue in your hair. It’s a no, but the products alone will work wonders and they actually pair well with The Mousse Def. Try them both with the Mousse Def, thank me later 😊❤
Luckily it didn’t leave a gooey feel in my hair but I hated the protein in the UFD… I gave it to my mom and it worked great in her hair and she’s high porosity. That KC is just everything my hair needs and lovesssssss 🥰🥰🥰💫

As a recovering product junkie 😩😩😂 I have tried all of these.. My NOs were Uncle Funky’s Daughter & the Big Poppa.. the Big Poppa left my hair dry with & without a leave in.. & the UFD gave me no hold & I didn’t like how it foamed up… (I also don’t like that Design Essentials mousse either).. Crazy thing I love the scent of Pattern 😂😂😂 The OG line & the Palo Santo!!
Omg that Pattern left me coughing like crazy, eyes watering, and itching 🥹🙂↔️🙂↔️ and the scent 🥴🥴 But I just loved how soft and fluffy my hair felt but I can no longer with that brand. UFD 🤭🤭 I honestly think I should just give it away. I don’t even wanna be bothered 😕 Big Poppa is nice for a few days and it holds but yeah it does get more dry than all my other stylers. That’s a gel I’d only use on the whim if I don’t have much time. But I gotta wash my hair after day 3 for sure because we can’t do dry hair 🚫🚫

I started with Aunt Jackie’s don’t shrink, which I still have. Been using Big Poppa with Mousse Def for about 2 months. That combo is at the front of the line now!
The first thing was the scent that made me wanna return it. Then a dermatologist made a video about the ingredient in a lot of Haircare products “Behentrimonium Methosulfate” that’s not good for us. It happens to be in the first 6 ingredients too so it was an easy decision to return. Then I didn’t have any shine in my hair either so that was 3 factors that lead me to return. 🥹😔
I’m curious to know why you paired Uncle Funky’s with a mousse, instead of using the gel by itself or with a leave-in? This are two different product from different companies.
Hello 💕 I know a few hairstylists who use those two stylers together so decided to give it a try. I have a friend who used this all the time and it worked for her… but she also has high porosity hair so the protein in the gel actually worked well for her but not for me ☺️ What products do you suggest with UFD? 👀
Not juvenile at all. I just don’t like it. My fav scents are warm florals, warm and spicy, citrus, some woodsy, scents with marshmallow and vanilla… that’s my vibe. Pattern has Patchouli (which I HATEEE) and it’s very strong. Oh I also had contact dermatitis using Pattern. Once I stopped, that issue left. So yeah.. 🫠
