Good review. Then at one point all of his credibility went out of the window by stating he sold his friend a Strike Eagle. Now does he A. Tell the viewers that the other scopes are better and betray his friends trust in his advice or B. Tell the viewers that the Strike Eagle is the best even though one of the others is better. Of course he will choose B. By spilling the beans and revealing his conflict of interest with his friend he lost all credibility as a reviewer. Oh dear.
The Delta Javelin is extremely similar to the Athlon Ares ETR and more than likely made in the same Chinese factory. I believe the Athlon Ares ETR is hands down the best Chinese scope that money can buy.
Im done with Element Optics scopes and the 3 African FX dudes. . Because of the massive RU-vid marketing. Its like there's nothing better than Element pcp scopes. Ill rather buy a EU scope or Russian scope.
I really feel Element and Hawke are extremely overpriced for what you actually get compared to everything else that's available out there for less money.
@@sasoudovic6247 the reticle on mine was by DLO. It is a brand new design. I chose the exposed top turret and closed windage FFP 56mm on a 30. They do a 34. My other is the delta stryker long scope which is great but more money. The delta javelin is supposed to be the nuts for the money.
@@Guide504 delta javelin is also on the radar, just not sure I can justify the money for recreational use. It’s still more than a Strike Eagle which is good enough for almost everything :/
Morning Shawn, hope your well, as you haven’t put out a review in getting on 2 weeks or more, anyway for me the eagle 🦅 has not landed in the shape of loosing MOA adjustment, my next scope from your Establishment is the Element Titan its not the price, its the choice of FFP and SFP s 2 of each Christmas’s trees and the cleaner ridicule I’m getting the APR-1C MRAD and a very cool Zero stop thumbs up all the way plus the taller turrets work better with elevation turret wheels i get made that will have 80 MOA numbered on the wheel once i run the dial in zero at 60y s 80 and 100y you can not get lost running one of these Especially if you have 100 MOA 10 MOA per full turn you can get lost i found that out with my IOR terminator 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Definitely going for the element. They do have more elevation adjustment than stated, but they just advertise that because beyond that you don't get as good of clarity. You will notice that all of the other brands have noticeable clarity loss at the edges of their advertised adjustment range
The Athlon Midas Tac has the best image quality at 25x. Followed by the Vortex Viper PST 2 then the Strike Eagle then the Element Titan in last place. The Titan definitely isn't worth the price they ask. If your budget can buy the Athlon Ares ETR 4.5-30x56 it's the best Chinese scope that money can buy. It competes with more expensive Japanese made scopes. Even the Ares BTR 4.5-27x50 is a great scope and its like a lighter 30mm Midas Tac with illumination. The cheaper 6-24x50 Midas Tac is also lighter and has fantastic glass and perfect tracking and has a zero stop.
I was looking at buying the Vortex Viper gen2 or Athlon Midas Tac went with the Vortex mounted it and it was three revolutions up at 100yds dialed it up out to 300yds and dialed for windage and when I brought everything back and shot at 100yds again the windage never came back to zero. moral of the story is I should of went with my gut instinct instead of name brand and pick the Athlon. Then when I go to set the zero stop get it all locked it put the cap back on at zero it always go's two MOAs past zero.
Please do a 5x25x56 comparison to the Hawke FFP 5x25x56 1046$ us retail, is the extra 250us well spent is glass that much better even @30mm tube,light-gathering etc.???
The Hawke Frontier has brilliant glass but it's extremely costly and I don't think it's worth $1046 when you're better off with an Athlon Ares ETR 4.5-30x56 or at least the Ares BTR 4.5-27x50 in a lighter package. The Vortex Viper PST 2 are on sale rather cheap at $679 from Midway. I would buy any of these other scopes instead of buying the Frontier based in price for what you get.
If you can get Tract Optics shipped to where you live, they are extremely well made scopes manufacturered in Japan other than their cheapest models that are made in the Philippines. This is like getting way more for your money. The only other scopes that are not Chinese are certain scopes from Vortex, SWFA SS, Clearidge, Sightron, Leupold, and certain scopes from Burris, Crimson Trace and US Optics.
Everything is made in China, even the parts on the things "made" in other countries. China is capable of putting out top notch quality, just as any other country can.
@@T-DsGaming exactly, they might say it's made in somewhere other than China, but there is probably chinse parts inside it. Basically everything these days in made in China.
