The video got restricted, and for that reason the views are below my expectations. Aaanyway, it is the hardest (and for me one of the best) one for me, the map, units, battle sequences, took my two months to finish, I hope you guys like it! It's my own custom map ''Varna'' and some units like Janissaries, Sultan Murad and the King Wladislaw are not in the vanilla mod, these models are something I made for the video. The treaty image is symbolic, not the real one. Thanks for your support, I'm planning to work on the Robert's Rebellion, starting from the Tournament at Harrenhall, with all the battles and important events in it. I'll ask you about it on the community table. :) If you want to check my membership perks, here is the link! ru-vid.com/show-UCeUbHoBdc6iC2a-AxZ4RRsQjoin
I don't know what to say, it's just that it's the best reconstruction of the battle I've ever seen. For me as a viewer from Poland, the scene of the last charge and the death of King Władysław, simply touches my heart.
I'm so glad to hear that, your (anyone from Poland-Hungary) comments are reeaallly important for this one, I really appreciate that Cheers from Turkey! :)
Very accurate and a nice battle. I loved seeing Hunyadi as i'm a hungarian, and i hope you find more great battles involved with Hungary, because there are a lot of them.
Well made!!The plans were varied and super nice! I love the scene at the end with the clash between a Turkish soldier and (the Polish king?) The scenes vary enormously between the effect "documentary" and cinematographic .We really feel that you worked a lot on it !! Greetings
Thank you so much mate! :) Yes, it was the Polish King, then he got beheaded. I always love to do new things, and it's just like you said, if you liked that, it's good. :P
Due to the peace treaty, Ottomans had almost no military force on Balkan side, as the treaty barred Ottomans from keeping an army on European side. After crusade was declared, crusaders could reach Edirne within 15 days, as they had mustered man earlier for their trechery, and there could be no Ottoman force to stop them. By the time crusader army's news reached Sultan Murad, who was at Anatolia in seclusion, he ordered all of sipahis (men at arms) to muster. He gathered 35 thousand troops within 3 days which is incredibly fast for the time. Then they marched West. Crusader alliance knew Sultan could bring troops from Anatolia, so they also included Venetian fleet in their crusade and they blockaded Gallipoli strait, which was traditionally used by Ottomans to pass to Europe. Sultan had to make a plea to Genoesians, who were traditionally Venetians' rivals in the area, and had to pay 240 ducat golds per man and double for horses for passage to European side, which is an incredible amount of expense for the time. They used Istanbul strait instead of Gallipoli, totally surprising the crusaders who expected them on Gallipoli beaches and Byzantine Empire which had no power to stop the bypassing Ottomans. They linked up with the forces at Edirne and marched on to Bulgaria. Such was the situation on Ottoman side by the time they arrived at Varna to intercept the Crusader army. Obviously this crusade and subsequent battle was not expected by the Ottomans and they were ill prepared to counter it, yet still they did. May their souls rest in heaven.
Certainly made it one of them, whats astonishing is how long they held on. Reason for that is their sublime mastery in how they seldom overextended, and in an era where one mistake could and certainly destroyed entire empires thats no small feat!
@@Skanderberg79 : The Ottoman Empire lasted longer than the Hapsburgs, Romanovs, and Hohenzollerns. Not a bad run for what ended up being the longest-reigning single dynasty of Roman Caesars-the House of Osman.
Incredible. This is far superior to any movie or TV battle I've ever seen. I appreciate the painstaking effort it must of taken to bring history to life like this.
Kinda special video for me. Some times ago, I read a novel, which takes place at the fields of Varna. Apr. 150 pages wrote about how bloody, horrible and brutal that battle was. And you make me feel just the same as the book. Brilliant work! Keep going
learning about this battle and the part at 10:27 is when Wladyslaw decided to rush Murad directly with his cavalry and got wrecked by the Jannisary guard set to that music from medieval 2 is so damn epic and sad. dude was only 20 and got his head detached 😬 major props to this channel, deserve wayyyy more subs
I love the fact, that you know about hussite wagons that were in that battle, they were mercenaries from Bohemia led by Jan Čapek of Sán. Anyway great video

That was one of the best re-creations ever! The cavalry fighting was EPIC and it was cool how you showed the different generals every now and then. 20/10 in my opinion
This is really amazing. Respect for your hard work. It shows perfectly how pointless and stupid wars are, so many wasted lived on both sides, and for what? Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. That's all that remains. And a lot of suffering widows and children on both sides. Anyway, the amount of effort you've put into this is admirable. Greetings from Poland!
Haklısın ancak türk ordusu her daim vatanı milleti ve dini için savaşmış ve hiçbir zaman savaş sonrası esir alınan askerlere bir kötülük yapmamıştır türkiyeden selam
As a Turk, Poland is a very revered country here. We had a big rivalry in the past. its funny how Austrians literally thanked you guys from saving them from us by participating in the partitions 50 years later, meanwhile we (your historical foe) thanked your great king Janus Sobieski💪💪💪 by actually not recognizing the polish partitions and leaving a space waiting for a diplomatic envoy from poland, until the end of the Ottoman Empire in (1921-23). I have great respect for Lithuanian Polish kings such as Algirdas, Janus Sobieski and etc. Poles, Russians and the Spaniards were our actual true rivals. The ones who knew how to fight real wars. Austrians lost most of the Ottoman-Habsburg wars with us and could never win a war on their own and always depended on others to fight their wars. We even humiliatingly crushed the Austrians during our decline and stagnation period and we were even facing a war with russia at the same time during the Russo-Turkish Austrian war (1735) and managed to regain Banat and other lands. Italians were incompetent, they have a horrible military history. we fucking won all Ottoman-Venetian Wars. we even crushed them many times considering (small galleys to large Ships).
DAMN MAN this was the best video ever, this got me so full of adrenaline, emotions and a fuck ton of other feelings bro, keep it up and who knows maybe you will be one of the best when it comes to cinematics like that. Cheers from Poland.
It's great to hear that, thank you mate! Your comments makes me really happy and I look forward to work on the new one. Greetings from Turkey to Poland! :)
God is great, we crushed the cross, we stopped your crusades, why didn't you show them how Hunyadi fled like a cat afraid of battle, and the other thing was that the Ottoman Empire did not have guns at that time
I'm not very good with words, but I must say, this was an incredible video to see and the way the camera was shot up-close and from afar was so immersive. I can just imagine how chaotic and tiring it would be to fight in the middle of that battle. Also shoutout to that 1 Sipahi (?) that killed a knight immediately after killing another one
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Better late then never! ^_^' All the best for 2021 onwards to you! Man, you cinematography is still as legendary as always. In fact, I'd say you improved even more then before, which I wasn't really expecting. (at least not to _THIS_ level) Man, I don't know anything at all about the Battle of Varna, but it sounds like it was a massacre on both sides. I like how you portrayed the knights in plate armor as being absolute tanks on the battle field. All those Sipahi charging towards them, yet they mostly got overpowered one after the other. Even the usually OP cavalry archers weren't doing much to them, as the plate armor made them almost impervious to arrows. And indeed, a well-trained knight in plate armor must've been a fearsome opponent in the battlefield. (in fact, I imagine the Ottoman soldiers facing them probably used more maces and axes to try and kill them rather then curved swords, which wouldn't do anything against plate armor) Honestly, with how evenly matched this battle seems to have been (at least, by your portrayal), it feels like the Ottomans mostly won because the Wallachian, Hungarian and Polish generals were taken out, distabilizing the Crusader army as a whole. Otherwise, the fight was an overall massacre that could've gone both ways. I felt really sorry for those Sipahi charging at the beginning. They just got slaughtered in that skirmish. At one point, I started yelling _"Dammit, aim those goddamn Falconets better! The Sipahi are getting their asses kicked!!"_ (not sure if those cannons are Falconets, I'm mostly using Age of Empires 3 as a basis) ^_^' And to make matters worse, the ones that _DID_ got past the mounted knights were then stopped in their track by the goddamn WAR WAGONS! I loved seeing them being used and being OP, but at the same time I also felt so sorry for those mounted archers! They were trying so hard! Props to the Crusaders, their line of defense was *solid.* On the other hand, the Ottoman line of defense was very solid too. A very big and wide trench dug right in front, forcing the enemy cavalry to ride around it, rifle-wielding Janissaries at the front ready shoot the plate armor of the knights or their horses, an entire batallion of Janissaries in front ready to engage and delay the enemy cavalry and yet another Sipahi cavalry waiting in the back for the right time to charge. Really, my only concern was that I wasn't seeing any pykes amongst the Janissaries engaging the cavalry. I was like "those would've been _reeeeaaally_ useful right about now". But I suppose the hand cannoneers were probably support enough. I guess my favourite aspect of this fight is that it shows how both armies are powerful in their own unique ways, which seems to say quite a lot about each factions' tactics and methods, depending on theri culture. And despite being different and having varying strengths and weaknesses, both sides still had very solid defenses that really makes it almost suicide to try and break through. At the end of the day, what counted the victory was how many generals from the other side fell compared to your side. And as it turned out, the Crusaders lost far more leaders. The battle was somewhat even, until the leaders fell. *Simply amazing.* You have a pletora of amazing videos. It's hard to try and choose one that we can say "this is the best one yet". Sometimes you manage it, though. And I dare say you repeated that feat again. In my personal humble opinion, this isn't just _one_ of the best battles you've made yet. This is *the* best battle yet. Congratulations! You deserve every praise for this phenomenal work!
You're literally the best, master piece of work and an artist. Keep making these videos please. You deserve so much more subs and views! I think this has to be one of your best videos ever. Much love man stay safe
Thats amazing! It's the best battle i have ever seen before and i so angry on RU-vid that he didn't notify me about it! Thats realy unfair... Nevertheless, i can't wait to see new content about GoT or maybe about ancient Rome, it woud be interesting to see the Sicilian's rebellion (spartacus). Thanks alot for your job!
Wooah ,, its just amazing to watch. The animation, the caputre moment of soldier figther each other and the sound that make the battle intense to watch. Its just amazing to watch this.
Gritty, epic and most shots (especially the Cavalry charging the ottoman posistion) are absolutely beautiful. Reminded me of the Scots greys cav charge from the film "Waterloo" it captured the beauty of the charge and the subsequent horror after it. Well done!
I'm really grateful for that, thanks a lot mate! :) Ah, that makes it even better, your comments motivates me a lot for the next one! I can't wait to work on it. :)
Truly awesome to see how much effort you put even into portraying Hussites (back in the days already "just" mercenaries) led by Czech Hussite nobleman Jan Čapek ze Sán. Simply wow...
Kardeşim bizde bu oyunları oynuyoruz lakin bu tarz senaryolu videolar yapamıyoruz. Sen varya savas meydaninin kaosunu cok iyi yansıtıyorsun bütün videolarında. Seni kalitenden ötürü tebrik etmeyi kendime bir borc bilirim. Saygılar NEDİMCAN İNCEBAY🙏 Adamsın...
Hey, sorry for my late reply, I couldn't even see the notification due to the restriction in the video. I'm so grateful for that, I also love your content! I wasn't that much interested in Warhammer lore but I'm trying to learn about it, can't wait for your Bretonnia (for now is my favourite) video! :)

A single move had changed the war and probably the history. This is one of the most important wars in Ottoman History, and your movie is definetely better than the last war in Game Of Thrones.
you did an incredible job, really excellent, music and everything well placed for the rhythm. the only "negative" point is that it is a "mess" to follow, a small representative map of the situation at the most important moments so that we realize what is happening will be pleasant! ^^
This video is crazy and i only have discovered you today!!! How is it possible just only now so weird. This is really good and underrated in my opinion.
Yeniceries were the first organized/doctrines civilized European military units to be invented. Europe copied our military doctrines LMAO. and stop acting like Ottomans didnt have heavy units. You should see Sipahi armor if your're looking for something cooler. In fact, most Janisaries armors and clothing look really cool, I think your talking about the irregular units like Bashi Bazouks and etc. Ottoman's strength was in being versatile, the European's strength was in heavy warfare.
Hi I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your videos. Your work is extraordinary, I've subscribed a few years ago I think, and I wouldn't have expected you to continue this long, thank you for that. I wish you all the best and good luck getting as many subscribers as possible :).
I'm so grateful for your support, thank you! :) Yea, same for me, I didn't even know what to do after the first ones but somehow we are here... I'm so glad for that, many thanks! :)
A remarkable presentation. Exceeded my expectations as a history major, and a martial artist for the last 48 years. There are a few "game" oddities (like beheading from a frontal stab to the throat, twisting the blade, and the opponents head pops off - that are not remotely realistic) but 90% of the fighting moves are quite accurate. The historical notes could be a little bit more complete, like the fact the Sultan did not know he won until 3 days after the battle, because there were so many casualties on the battle field. The individual fight scenes go on too long and take away from how the battle was actually proceeding, but overall I give your efforts an A+. Well done. I look forward to your videos.
