I use my PS4 mostly for BABYMETAL Blu Rays and just bought like a $30 Blu Ray player so I can Watch them in my bedroom too. DOOOOOOO IT. Get a cheapy Blu Ray and feel the POWER of a BABYMETAL Japan show. 🤘🦊🤘
Thanks for this reaction. Su-metal vocals are VERY clear, it's so clear you can take a 'fan cam' and the most clear part is her singing. Babymetal often functions like a layer cake, her vocals are in the high range and the instruments in the low range.
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。I witnessed this very performance at the venue on Day-2 (April 2) when the newly born BABYMETAL with Momometal began. The bands in the girls' back were Western Kamis and I appreciate their devoted support that has made this and recent shows amazing😍. Thank you Chris, CJ, Anthony, Clint and now Ryan. Su-Metal, the lyricist of this song, explained in an interview the reason why she chose a phrase "(Time to) go your way" in stead of "go our way" whereas this song is a kind of call to build up courage of BABYMETAL themselves and their followers. She said like "It may be better with 'our', but I though it is adamant or pushy to fans who have various tastes in music. They do not need to accept everything about BABYMETAL. I hope they follow us at their own discretion. In addition, I was seeking some words thinkin of people who might be encouraged to brace themselves up or to explore their own ways with the help of powers given by my lyrics. Certainly the connotation of this song implies 'let's go together' but I hold a individual fan in high esteem. [source : magazine PMC vol.27 page 38] What a thoughtful person our Queen is !
The lyrics are written with particular emphasis on the connections between syllables and the sound of vowels and consonants, a delicate process that SU-METAL says she rewrote while singing the song many times. She did such a professional job that it is hard to believe she was writing lyrics for the first time.
Nice! I enjoyed this song since it dropped and even more so with hindsight! This was Babymetal's first release of their The Other One Album in 2022, after an almost 2-year hiatus, and at the time, an uncertain future for the band. So, needless to say, an explosive way of announcing a full comeback. To me, the song is definitely about standing up and fighting. Fighting to break the darkness around you, fighting to chart your own path, and fighting for the tomorrow you envision. The more I research and understand the lyrics and the more I watch this performance, the more appreciation I have for Su's writing! Also on a sidenote on audio: I'm not sure if these official releases are still live videos with studio audio, but there are a few other channels with HQ live performance videos with actual concert audio. What I notice is that the live performance audio is waaaay better. The band also does a lot of one-off "mini" shreds or solos at times that are not in the studio. And, Kami Band West sounds amazing (same for East), and way better than the studio. I recall this song had way better riffs in the concert Blu Ray vs studio. Cheers, and look forward to more! 🤘🦊
Great reaction. You would have enjoyed the official visualizer, but live BABYMETAL (especially from their BluRays) is always the better choice. Are they in the US again soon? Well they just spent the last 2 or 3 months there, they'll be doing a bit in Japan next and then it is our turn in the UK and Europe. I think they've confirmed they will be at a festival in the US in April(?) next year.
👍 👍 Great reaction and I am enjoying watching you catch all the different nuances concerning their choreography and certainly your appreciation of Suzuka's vocal skills. Until next time
Great reaction, thanks! It's a fact: BABYMETAL is better live. For many reasons: the Kami Band playing live, Su's live vocals, the choreo, the crazy stages setups on arena sized shows, etc. I got interested in first place because of the music and the band, became a fan thanks to Su's live solos and stan BABYMETAL because of the whole package. And, by the way, best deserved ever "T-pose" she made here. 🤘🦊
Su's vocals are what sealed it for my love of BabyMetal no one that is out there in my opinion is doing anything like this and no one sounds like them ❤️❤️❤️😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
The choreographer Mikiko is amazing. She take the music and put out her image of it into dance moves. Dance is her soul, dance is her language, her art. And so the choreography is not just some moves but some sheer art expression in the form of dance. It is how some artist put out their expressions through music. Mikiko puts out her in dances. ヽ(✿゚▽゚)ノ
