No an inmate cannot refuse to go to court. If he continues to refuse, a judge can issue an extraction order and have him forcibly bought to court. The deputies will inform his of the judge's order and if he does not comply, things will get ugly very quickly.

They can and will; and if the judge issues an extraction order. They drag your ass to court by any means. Slade fucked up by talking. He could have pleaded the fifth or lied. He would have been locked longer but no snitch allegations.
sharpe is obviously slow , this what happens when you don’t know the law, cops obviously know what happened but the other sides job is to make the jury believe you did it beyond reasonable doubt , agreeing to what happened is giving more evidence on what transpired

I disagree with piranha, Testifying isn’t snitching at all. I’m almost certain kyd brother put kyd in his own statement which is why kyd got subpoenaed. You can’t duck a subpoena in jail, you getting dragged out ya cell. Kyd don’t sound like a snitch to me, it sounds like he confirmed the video evidence and pictures of him and the others in the group. Confirming evidence (when he could have kept up the lie) and corroborating his brothers story is not a good look for Mr. Plug Talk. It's not snitching by definition, but he cooperated as a witness. That would be cool if he was a civilian but he's Mr. Plug Talk he's supposed to go by the silly street rules he signed up for. So cooperating in court and testifying is wrong according to these rules
