What can we all do? As we Orthodox Christians say, “pray unceasingly”, “Lord Jesus Christ Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner”. And “Lord Jesus Christ Son of God have mercy upon ……. (whomever you want to pray for)”. So simple yet so powerful when repeated.
Yes, it's good to pray for the Lord to have mercy on the souls who appear before Him each day. Some years ago I came across a quote by Dostoevsky, to the effect that it is good to pray thus each morning: "Lord, have mercy on all who are to appear before Thee this day." He wrote that it may be that when we face the Lord ourselves, a grateful soul who had lived on the other side of the world would thank us for our prayer on the day of his death, for the Lord heard and answered.

Judas Iscariot was sorry for betraying Jesus but lost hope in the mercy of God and that’s what made him despair and end up in hell. As a Kansan, I must add an explanation to the abortion vote. If the map I saw is correct, all of the Kansas counties voted a yes for the “Value Them Both” amendment except the counties with large major cities in Eastern Kansas who are blue. Maybe only 7 or so counties with large populations.

So by what we are seeing , hearing and talking about the consecration of Russia was not accepted by our lady . Why ? Because the fruits are not there .
She said the Consecration will be made, but it will be very late, and the Holy Father will have much to suffer (or will suffer much, I forget the order of the words). She said it will be as when France was consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. St. Mary Alacoque was given the vision of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and was told to send a message to the King of France to consecrate France to the Sacred Heart. The Faithful were also given the message of the First Friday devotions at that time. The King did not pray the Consecration. A hundred years later, the French King of that time finally prayed the Consecration, while he was imprisoned in the Bastille awaiting his execution by beheading in the guillotine. This means that when Our Lady warned that the Consecration to her Immaculate Heart would be made very late, she meant that we wouldn't see the fruits immediately. We don't yet know if the Consecration made earlier this year was accepted, or even for that matter if the Consecration made by Pope St. John-Paul II in the 1980s was accepted. But that's not for us to determine! The task of the Faithful is to make the First Friday and First Saturday devotions. I think it's at least 9 First Fridays and 5 First Saturdays, consecutively. Worry only about that, and pray for the Holy Father.

Righteous rant! My wife thinks I'm a bit strange because I said that in some ways I could look forward to a martyrdom. She's as hardcore Catholic as I am, but at the same time cautioned me about "being put to the test". I often pray for God to give me the courage to accept things that may come that I have no control over. In the end, the only thing any of us can really control is our own actions. Look at what our Lord endured to save all of us. Look at how many martyrs there have been already in the history of Christendom. To be able to rise to that calling would be glorious. However let God's will be done in all things.
Pray to persevere in whatever cross He sends. I understand that feeling you have though. Maybe some are thinking about it because we need to prepare for it. I don't know though.
We're all called to be Martyrs! Not all martyrdom is bloody. The "White Martyr" Saints are those who gave their whole lives to God. Saint Mother Teresa would be an example, albeit as far as I know her Feast isn't designated that way, as it is for others, such as the recent Feast of a pope whose name in afraid I'll butcher -- Pope Saint Zephyrinus?

I've been praying for those dying today for a long time, as it's not my Universe but God's (ha ) and have been using the prayer of the angel from Fatima, The prayer ends By the infinite merits of His Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, i beg you the conversion of poor sinners....I then add ....especially those dying today and those dying in a state of grievous sin..... Why do I do this...? Well I once wrote a little story called God's Goalkeeper, about souls that at night went to the gates of hell (with their guardian angel) to grab peoplle sliding into hell and sometimes to slap sense into them(only sometimes?)..... My prayer, is also that I don't care what people have done (as I'm not God ) I just want them all to go upwards, even if I do get a burnt backside with my back to the gates of hell......... lol

In Australia there's already beginnings or smatterings of people who are implying that if you disagree with them you don't support love or happiness or life! Therefore you are the enemy. Also my son challenged a friend from school about beliefs and God and we just had this conversation tonight btw, how his mate doesn't believe and that humans are here to enjoy themselves and follow their passions, apparently said by his friend. My son said he thinks we are basically monkeys in pants.... These boys are 14 yo. It was such a sad and yet eye opening and scary conversation to have. We realised the extent these kids in non Catholic homes have been brainwashed and brought into this agenda, fully and completely. They cannot see anything else! And the irony they will believe in aliens and other superstitious rubbish but not God...
During this talk it came to me the Grace to realise my fallen state and greatest need for heavens forgiveness. How vital confession is and we must pray for the zeal to seek the holy sacrament of penence. From the many signal graces over past few years one came to mind. The image of our Lady untirer of knotts, more specifically the story that was the result of this image being painted. The end part when the husband seeking help from priest who he found kneeling in prayer in front of a statue of our Lady and whom on rising and turned to him asked to see his knotted wedding ribbon from his pocket. The troubled man gave Father his knotted ribbon that represented the many hurts, sins and unforgivness between him and his new wife. The story recounts to us the miracle of how the hardness of heart and a sense of forgiveness washed over both the husband who was standing there and his wife who was at home as the priest on behalf of Mary's request began to undo the knotts in the ribbon. What struck me just now is how this perhaps is in actual fact the call and Grace to seek the sacrament of confession in action? How a truly contrite soul seeking help and perhaps not at the ready point of confession can be aided by heavens angels by the intercession of our blessed mother. Therefore this story and image is for our times I feel because many perhaps seek help with many knotts and blockages in their hearts towards even those they claim and want to love and not yet found the clarity to seek forgiveness can pray and ask the mother, our mother for help and it's through her loving intercession to untire these knots so that we may seek her son in confession and his merciful eternal live giving bread of life. It is by the cleaning of our heart we are truly prepared and open and worthy to receive Holy Eucharist.
I'm not catholic by practice, although I'm a Christian. I feel as though I would like to counsel with a Catholic Priest/Exorcist about my life. I do believe that I have issues that need to be dealt with. What should I do? I do not personally know any of whom I wish to counsel with.

My husband and I are going through the RCIA process. Both of us brought up in Protestant faith. In this process I have learned how much God loves me. Also Protestant churches just do not address what to do with demonization. The Catholic Church has always known and dealt with this reality.
