Hi Jeff thanks for the review I picked up one of these at a secondhand store for three dollars. I thought maybe would be worth it. I sometimes stick things on top of my visor so it’s always hard to pull my visor down without dumping things out held up by the visor so I thought this may help. I do use it every so often and a little slider bar does help with low bright sun in the evening on highway. I can slide it right were needed. On highway works for me. But no good around town. To small for the constant turning car. Keep it up!!👍😎. Ken
Thanks for the feedback in this project. I had a tough with it around town and on the highway. That could be a combination of my height and visor height. I did like looking through the amber screen. Everything looked vibrant. Awesome find for $3. Thanks for sharing.
Jeff, just a quick observation. Your vocal rhythm is spot on. You have that classic Consumer Reports tone as well. Kind of like John Stossel. It’s very easy to listen to you. As far as the Atomic Visor goes, this is an item that I am always tempted to buy but deep down I know better. Your review here helps to keep in perspective how contrasting the size of your windshield actually is in comparison. Let’s face it, the auto industry spends billions on product development and very very rarely do you see an adequate sun visor in a motor vehicle. Your review gave this a fair and well balanced test. At the end of the day this is another great idea that needs improving.
Hey Tony, I have to admit when I first opened the box and saw the amber screen I was excited. Sadly, it didn't work out that well. I'm still optimistic that an ASOT visor will one day be released that meets my needs. Thanks for checking out this video.
Ha, I hope their PR team is listening. You were definitely on the money with what you said about it! One of the things you mentioned as a complaint was actually the first thing out my boyfriend's mouth as soon as he saw you attaching it in the car.... He's around 6 feet tall as well and the fact that you had to attach it to THE BOTTOM OF THE VISOR was not ok with him either lol. Great review as always. It's always a treat when I see your videos in my subscriptions list!💚🤗
Hey Sara, they have a good idea and the lens was certainly better than the tac visor but they need to go back to the drawing board to make this more useful. Thanks for your comment and kind words.
Very professional and very helpful, I've seen this thing once or twice on TV, seemed kind of meh to me, I thought it was a good idea, but there was always something about it that just looked like it didn't work all too well. Glad you made this review 👍
New to your channel. I have watched 3 of your vids so far. Nice job at covering pros and cons in all of them! I'm glad you mentioned not noticing the reflection once you were driving. That'd be super annoying to me too. I would have appreciated seeing the sun spot piece in action. I drive EB in the a.m. and WB in the p.m. on I-20 in ATL. During winter months, the sun is drilling my eyes! I would really like to know if that piece has any true benefit. Have you personally used it driving directly into sunlight? About 30 minutes post-sunrise and pre-sunset are the killers for me...at least until Daylight Saving Time in March. 😁 I agree a larger size would be a greater benefit. An additional suggestion for Bulbhead would be a rotating hinge clip that would allow you to rotate the visor toward the side window. Not sure how that would work on a single clip, but it'd sure be appreciated! 😎
I debated using the sun spot piece but it was too small and distracting for me. It makes sense if you are driving into direct sunlight. Thanks for your kind words and for commenting on the video. Drive safe!
Oh a sunspot blocker? Really? Michigan has some sun glare that has had me pull over at timed. But I understood about how it would be annoying..and I don't know I how feel about looking at that color constantly. But I would be willing to try it.
Absolutely, if this was a little bigger it might be more useful to the masses. Also if you drink - don't drive, that's the only thing to keep you safe. Thanks for the comment
Having driven into sun for 2/3 of the year for 15 years i had to do a lot of scrunching around existing oem visor while using sunglasses. The review lacked that part of the experience. I normally wear sunglasses year round, because i have a genetic sensitivity to light, so the visor part could be the extra oompf i needed to commute at sunrise and sunset. Based on your 2 reviews this looks like the better of two options.
As seen on TV products are one of my favorite things to check out. I'm always hopeful they will live up to their claims. Sometimes they do and most of the time they don't. Thanks for checking in.
I agree I use it and it's way to small. Wish they would of made it bigger. If they make it bigger I would get the bigger version. I used tac visor too and currently using till they make a larger one. I prefer this one
Hello Jeff I am new to your channel I gave your video a watch, I liked your video, tweeted it out, I added it to my play list, I am now supporting you on your channel.
Absolutely, this is the perfect size for a Miata. It may make sense for them to make a small, medium, and large for different size vehicles. Thanks for the comment.
your review sucked all you did was complain on how small it was but you never gave a demonstration using the visor in sun blinding areas or for that fact you never even did the headlight demonstration that you did with the tac visor . you really need to concentrate on its soul purpose for use in which you did not demonstrate ....
