That weapon you guys were using was a Winchester 1895. It was designed to use pointed rounds instead of round nose projectiles, hence the lack of tube magazine below the barrel and the addition of a fixed box magazine below the main action. It was designed by John Browning but made for the Russian Empire, chambered in their standard 7.62x54R cartridge and using Mosin-Nagant stripper clips to load.
No, actually. It's basic info comparing the 1895 to a "traditional" lever action seen in this time. Kind of like the Lebel '86 also has a tube magazine under the barrel (something strange for bolt action rifles). The designer found a way to use pointed bullets by designing a lip at the base of the cartridge where the tip could rest instead of pointing directly at the primer of the next round. The Lebel 1886 was also the first standard issue rifle to use smokeless powder, if I remember correctly. Guns are what I do best.
Fave bits: 2:42 (Needs to be a meme) 7:00 9:37 - 9:57 15:57 17:44 19:37 21:09 21:38 (press this one multiple times for ultimate lulz) 22:40 Doesn't play the objective, "How did we lose?!!" xD

Its not a shotgun. The winchester 1895 was chambered in a few calibres, but they were all center fire rifle cartridges such as the 303 British, 7.62x54r Russian, 30-40 Krag, 30-03 and the 30-06 Springfield. The game says its Russian so i would assume they mean its chambered in 7.62x54r, which has been used as a sniper round in the Mosin Nagant.
