Okay I played it you guys can stop asking me to play it now :P
I know I've explained this before on stream but for those who for whatever reason take interest in reading some of the things I say in these video descriptions I'll explain further.
Operations feels like nothing more than one of those CS aim maps that is dynamic. It changes the terrain a bit but really the objectives don't mean much because even if you're entire squad is defending within the capture radius of an objective as a defender you can still lose that objective if the enemy has more bodies on it. It's similar to that zerg meta in Planetside 2. You don't have to clear out everyone you just have to throw more people on the point. In Rush you if you run out of tickets but the objective is armed you can still win if it is successfully destroyed. Operations game mode takes the individual strengths of players and squads that work together and lessens their impact on the outcome of the game more so than Conquest.
Also if it wasn't obvious from watching the video but there are players that play just Operations and no other game mode and they are some of the most oblivious players in the game right up there with "Hardcore" players. Same with my response to people who asked me to play Hardcore mode in BF3/BF4, I'm not a huge fan of picking on those types of players.
That LMG nerf to ADS is brutal. M1909 and Lewis to unlock that French DLC LMG. Also for those who seem to think I play Scout only and have apparently not bothered to check here are some of the Support class videos I uploaded previously:

Side note, I've been trying the latest version ShadowPlay/Geforce Experience and so far it's worse then that old version I've been using. There is some added input lag which might be from the newer version requiring Aero to be turned on and with all the "improvements" listed in the many version releases since the old version the performance feels worse. That and I didn't even notice the bars it gave me because they changed how it handle resolutions.

Did you prefer 40 player operations? Did you feel that lessened the “zerging” as seen currently? I enjoyed it more than 64 players. 64 is too chaotic to me. I don’t play operations often at all for the exact reasons you listed. Argonne is the best map I think of when talking about zerging where the attackers take one objective, then the other but the defenders take the previous back and hold the choke point. Gets boring and you just body stack until you capture. Don’t see the joy in that. Behemoths also don’t change much in the gamemode other than shift the focus of what the current objective is, that being destroy the behemoth. Would love your thoughts.

Operations is fun, but i do understand where your coming from where how most operations people are really like the hardcore people of battlefield and how you can’t really do much even with a squad to change the outcome of the operation

I always enjoy the video descriptions, as I don't usually have time to watch streams, and so miss everything that isn't captured for these youtube videos. I stopped playing operations because the balance issues were so bad, and teammates can be SO. FUCKING. STUPID. that it just made my anger issues flare up, and I'm really trying to get a hold on that lol Awesome video as always, I've stopped watching BF1 videos back in December, but still gotta watch Rav because it's usually too good to miss.

Yeah I felt the same about Operations. Don't get me wrong; thematically I think it's an interesting game mode but realistically, everyone is mainly shooting straight with no other direction to be going to. Attackers always move forward and Defenders either sit still or move backwards. At least with Conquest there's different angles to move in from towards an objective. Anyways, keep up the good content and just play whatever you feel like, man. I love all your vids and it's always a fun experience to watch you wreck some fools.

Well Ravic, if your wondering why people take interest in reading what you have to say about the game it’s obvious. Your a pro player in the battlefield franchise, so of course people who miss your live streams will be eager to read anything you have to say on the subject. Any feedback, advice, or analysis you give is invaluable to your audience. Since you don’t really do commentaries on your gameplay, video descriptions are the next best thing lol

personally i dont like operations on PC, but prefer them over other modes if im playing on console. the direct fight where typically enemies are coming from one direction just feel better for me. On console any mode where you can have enemies in 360 degrees tends to just drive me up the wall sense you cant twitch and flick kill people reliably, so the direct assaults and defending end up being more satisfying to play for me. Plus I find it oddly invigorating having some sort of historical context for my games given to me before rounds which puts it above other direct assault and defend style game modes. The operations campaigns loot boxes also help. I like seeing numbers go up to me earning things now that I have hit max rank hahaha.

I hate Operations when people pick up the sniper and stay behind the objective camping all the match but even this after Conquest Operations is my favorite mode. I play BF for having fun, and with Operations I enjoy that’s something Ravic don’t (on Operations). Basically in BF1 rush is fucked up, 24 players aren’t enough for some maps because they are bigs. With 12 of your teammates five are camping with snipers, two are with mortars, two with vehicles are also camping and a few are dead, for these reasons as attackers you arrives alone for setting the bomb and the other entire team is waiting for you. With 32 players you have more chances to get some help while putting the bomb. In Operations there are also campers but you are team is formed by 32 players, at least one or two squads play the objective, not always but many times they do.

Regarding Shadowplay: Yes it is not good atm. Aero needs to be on which forces the win7 basic warning everytime you start up. But that is nothing new, the first time you record / take a screenshot it laggs and loads the GPU to 100%.

Yes then they wonder why they call it casualfield, if people are so oblivious they make a gamemode for that kind of people. I still guess that frontlines is more compeling cause even though it is one big cap area there is a back and forth with liberty to move around and not that many force multipliers.

About GeForce Experience: I've tried it as well and it's awful. As soon as the in-game interface is enabled everything stutters like hell but as soon as you disable it it's fine. I can still remember the last good working version, where you also didn't have to log in.

I still find Operations to be more fun than Conquest. There's an actual front line present, and everyone on the team is more or less pushing the same nearby set of objectives at a time. After playing Conquest for so long, I got sick of the new point system, running laps around flags, having to do the boring job of defending from small backcapper squads (usually by myself) to boost winrates. Meanwhile, I find that I can get much more action in Operations, and going on high killstreaks feels much more satisfying since it brings great value to your team to secure one out of the very few flags available. Of course, Rush tops this since zergs are less of a problem there, but it's unfortunately not that popular. I hope BFV puts a heavy focus on the Rush/Operations/Frontlines game modes.

I don't know, maybe is part of the game itself, maybe is an accessory you are using for the weapons or it has to do something with the problem you saying about Shadowplay. But man, wheres the recoil?. The DMR's don't have a recoil so bad, but other weapons really don't have any. Again, maybe the game is that way, I don't own it. Still, nice vid!.

Hey ravic, dunno if you read comments but there ts something wrong with how youtube processes uploaded videos. I am playing the video at 1080p 60fps but there are still some chunky pixels allover the screen. The same problem has happened to other youtubers. some videos that are 1 or 2 days old are also suffering the same problems, when those videos are played at the highest resolution, the video still stutters and the pixels are allover the place, just thought to give you a heads up

it's the bitrate he recorded/encoded this video at, I would hazard a guess and say that it's recorded/encoded under 50mb cause the same thing is happening for me.

I don't get it, everytime you play, it's against terrible players. I only play operations on PC and it's never like what you see here lol. But I agree with what you said, it's extremely frustrating when playing on a team where no one is trying to capture the OBJ. Even with an "elite" squad, you cannot win the game.
