BF as it was meant to be. No killcams. No carebear flight mechanics. Limited sprint. Long as fuck reloads. Punishing reload system. HEAVY emphasis on playing your class. No one shot kill weapons. No battle pickup shit. God, I loved this game. Skipped school to play it and everything.
Terry Sawyer I agree with most of this, but one shot weapons aren't bad. You try and take a .50 cal in your torso and tell me how that goes, that thing will take you out even with armor on.
pateuvasiliu One shot kill weapons are awful for balance and gameplay. Great for realism, shit for everything else. Play a realistic game for realistic guns.

bf4 bf3 had no one 1shot guns and even if they did it prob for a reason btw bc2 is best bf play it on console and pc vietnam dlc go hitbox btw bf2 has terrable hit detect i just done played it for free today if u want link to play for free here battlelog.co my antivirus said it was a threat but trust me its not btw bc2 has better grachics like it matters but just saying better balacne and wus just fun
EA should Remove infinity sprint and auto heal in current bf. Change these will make people play like bf2. Yes it will be slower but it is more fun and more teamwork!
You are literally right , Auto-Heal is the worst thing in BF2 , that what makes the game looks bad , i am sure if there is no Auto-Heal in BF2 , most of gamers will use to play it !
I hope this thread is still working. First, Strike at Karkand is the best battle in Battlefield 2. The seeming least exciting kit in Battlefield 2, Combat Engineer is actually the best and provides the most action. Second, action for me is not getting killed or seriously wounded (returned to the assembly area) For me, getting killed or seriously wounded is the end of the sortie and the end of the game. My concern is not achieving the most kills or even winning the battle. It's staying alive. In so doing, I've had some very exciting battles. Third, There is a trick. Fight as an engineer. With a pump shotgun and a 9 mm pistol you're virtually defenceless. Among vehicles, the Abrams Tank is vulnerable in the narrow streets of Karkand. With a high profile it can be seen from some distance. Perceived as the largest threat, the tank will draw the greatest attention. The Hummer is a rolling casket. Your choice and the only way you should engage the enemy is in the LAV. As an engineer, your most important weapon is now your wrench. The LAV has all you'll need, the 25 MM Bushmaster chain gun (450 rounds), 6 tow rockets and the ability to deploy smoke. It's astonishingly maneuverable. With practice you'll fit threw the tightest spaces at peculiar angles. You can usually survive a single hit from any weapon on the field, the panzerfoust thing and even their tank. When you're hit, run away! Go to the empty swimming pool at the upper edge of town. Wrench on the LAV, smoke a joint, get your shit together. Now, muster courage and lay mines. This is performed behind enemy lines at their assembly area. This is the highest risk I take in the field. Beak to beak you're no match for their Chinese T 64 tank. But you can pen up a tank with mines and literally take it out with your Bushmaster. You get more mines by giving ammo carriers a lift and more tow rockets and ammo by approaching a vehicle carrying ammo personnel. One memorable evening, I was able to destroy three tanks and dispatch nearly 100 enemy troops without getting a scratch.
this game is better than battleshit 4 and hardline. In those games your just a one man army running around spraying bullets with OP guns and crashing jets to look cool. The best thing about this game has to be the gunplay! they aren't all OP machine guns like in the newer BFs. There all balanced weapons that have downsides, even the Ak-47 the MEC uses is not Over powered, it sure hits hard but it has damn anoying recoil and you can only use it in short to mediumish short range which makes it balanced.
i miss this game so much! the sniper fights between accident and gatehouse, the annoying guy who was camping on top of factory building. if EA wants to make a ton of money they should remake bf2 but not with all the epileptic graphics they used in bf4. all the best fps games dont need AAA graphics. Bf2 or CSGO graphics are just fine for a skillbased fps game.
They pay ways too much attention to graphics, Tomb Raider one also looked worse than Minecraft, but good enough to be afraid of the bears and wolves, because of the atmosphere, but this way they can work with hardware producers so they can sell every some months new graphics cards. And I was always that guy on the roof, secured the way up with both clays and made my pistol badges there by killing the people try to come up, I'm a pro in helis and jets but a noob on the ground 😂
I still got the original BF2 box-set with all of the extra discs inside for playing Euro Force, etc. I have alot of fond memories of playing that game on my friend's old XP.
+Abraham Medina Thank you man, unfortunately I don't play BF2 anymore because I'm not getting the full experience anymore now that they've taken the official online servers down. I still play BF4 every now and then though but it's not the same :(
AK-101 is more precise, I always played with L85A1 because I like it's design, but it spreads a lot, if you use a good aimbot this is the one-shot-one-kill weapon, but everyone can see you shaking like mad because of the spread and aimbot that calculates where to aim to compensate the spreading and hit the target, while AK-101 and G36 move only a little.

i don't know how many hours i have on this game.. but i know that the rpk was the best weapon in game, all you had to do is prone, it gains the best accuracy in game and had TONS OF DAMAGE i promise, this shiet was op as fk! you also can kneel and it will improve the accuracy but proning was broken, you could shoot 100+ meters without scoping and get headshots freely damn, i miss the old days :(
Only one Problem here: The Bf community like the current way Bf is developing. So changing it back to Bf2 would be troulbesome for the Company making money. People would switch to cod... well call it unreasonable but I really loved to Play bf2 back then when I was a kid. I was around 14 ^^ Realistic, challanging and it took some skill and Teamwork. (Had no EA Membership to Level up but still played it everyday). Hehe :D
OMG! I have over 3000 hours on this game and now 10 years later that I stopped playing it, I realize you could switch between weapons. OMG someone please kill me 🤮🤢
You mean pickup others weapons? I also needed almost a year to realize those planes and helis aren't just animations, but that I can fly them and then I got really addicted to bf2 xD
I was shit well at many FPS games I've been shit but I never found the people who could make me a better player : yet I spent loads of hours on this map ! A shame EA and Steam stopped that game ! It was my first real FPS game. Yet I never had the skills for the chopper nor the flights ! It was a nightmare as I was always crashing !
Is there way to play it now? Just got BF1 in hope it would be less of a fucking hordefest but no fucking way. No flaw, just shoot before you get shot by someone random popping around a corner.
It is. People still play it, allthough Gamespy was officialy shut down, there is a project going on that brought the game back to alive. search for "battelog.co"
Yeah, just got it suggested a few days ago by someone on a gaming group. Man I Was so... sooo happy! I kind of knew about it but thought it would be a lot more convoluted. The battlelog was just register, download and install the game. It even lets you register your game key. Not sure what for, as you can play anyway but I did it just because! Enemy armour spotted!
and the netcode is probably worse now in bf4 than it was on this game even with 2 years of patches under its belt. oh dice you cant make shit work properly. inherent problems for every single title you have made.. fucking hell. rip sw:bf
the players are stupid : the yanks have control of the right part of the map most of the time but they don't even blow the MEC commander assets (UAV & sat). Plus there's no commander on the MEC side. Very poor teamplay !
never seen a rule like that, and I've logged 1000+ hours on ranked servers back when BF2 was "in"... Lots of "no attacking the carrier" yeah, but no "no blowing up assets".
This was a classic infantry server, no use of UAV and no use of explosives. The ROE says it's not allowed to forbid players to use things, but there was even worse servers, where only pistols and knifes was allowed and I loved to own people on this servers with an aimbot to ruin their stats because this was all this servers was about, in a usual way it is not easy to get knife and pistol badges, but this servers made it very easy, I have a nice video on my channel of owning with an aimbot, hate me 😂
