These animations would be acceptable in like 2005-2007 where only a couple FPS games in the industry had top-notch animations, and no FPS games were really expected to have them.
Lots of these animations are... Well, they aren't the worst but not exactly the best either. I'm not gonna compare them to CoD but instead to previous BF titles. Let's see... BF3 and 4 have robotic animations but they don't feel rushed, BF1 and BF5 had actually good and natural-looking animations. This... Feels like it was quite rushed and I have a feeling animators were switched between some weapons, even though they tried their best to make it look more tacticool. The Portal animations are fine for the most part.. The only thing I don't really like is the 1942 animations, those look not only awful but also very unfitting for the era they are set in, but thank god those aren't shown here.
Considering what we know of its development (EA rushed them and probably plan to liquidate them once this is done haha who could've seen that coming), it's sadly kind of expected. I'll say they did genuinely improve as the seasons went on...shame it wasn't enough to save it, from what I hear.
Genuinely wonder what went wrong with this game. They had an extra year of development, plus no Star Wars battlefront to pull part of DICE’s team away. They had so much man power and time to create this game, yet it somehow felt more rushed than any other battlefield game that came before it. HOW
People see animations and already be like "Oh the animations aren't the same as MW19, the game is shit" and fucking forget that really nice gunplay and monopoly in arcade FPS genre are the only things that hold CoD series on it's fucking place rn.

@@CERRYGREENBAY what I mean by broken is the animation for the tactical reload isn’t aligned since like season 1 or 2. If you look at launch footage of the reload then how it looks now, the model shifts in the hand too much and the thumb doesn’t hit the mag release and the weapon shifts way too high in the soldier’s hand.

Not best animation like the mw series, but it's better than other games, including their before games Those reload animations are one of my best favorite parts of bf2042
@@christianadriandelarosagar7261 it's a carbine. Carbine is rifle with shortened barrel from it's original barrel length. Like example Aks-74u is shortened barrel from Aks-74.
The reloading animations are bland, repetitive with some other guns, ex m5, m416,m16, I prefer the the bf3 and 4 reloading animations and the cod mw 2019, mw2 2022, mw 3 2023 reloading animations are way better and add more variety
all these unnecessary jerks and movements, along with laughable audio. MW19 sits at the very top, MWII comfortably second and all the way at the bottom, MWIII and then there is BF2042 😂😂😂
