1:57 I love this scene... WW2-Era soldiers sent to the future and one of them staring at the glowing city being fought with futuristic weapons they never seen before
Like...imagine yourself as a New Yorker kid born in Manhattan in 1910-1920s and experience this, hard to believe this what your home would become in Battlefield universe. Every corner of the city is LIT. 🔥
funny how it took them a smack in the face with the poor reception of garbage prev release they did. They should have made this instead of battlefied "V?"
*People exploit the game mechanics* Other companies: "looks like we're gonna have to patch it" Battlefield: "screw it. Let's make it a feature and a part of the Canon"
@@samuelleet6411 @FragArena99 BFV had flaws and could have been a lot better, but man am I way more excited for this one; feels like a lot more like fan service and listening to the community
@@user-ve2jj1ik4b So if you wanna try hardcore games then play escape from tarakov or other tactical Fps shooters. Battlefield games are for fun not grinding.
1:57 love how they made ww2 soldier react to big buildings, makes tons of sense and really adds to immersion that portal is some strange Anamoly of soldiers time travveling through eras
@@Cowboy-Ken What? Do you know what Battefield 2 Modern Combat, Battlefield Bad Company 1 and 2, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline, Battlefield 1 even are, my guy?
*Battlefield Portal Trailer drops* Everyone: THIS IS THE MOST BEST THING TO BATTLEFIELD IN YEARS IM SO HYPED THANK YOU SO MUCH DICE!!! *6 months later:* *facepalms*
It’s such a shame too. Game had potential. I’d have played it to this day if it didn’t had the bugs and frame rates it did and I’m a hard battlefield fan. I think they’d be best off rn actually updating battlefield 4. Get it up to date, give it a new dlc, and market the hell out of it
@@commitselfdeletus9070 why would they start re marketing a decade old game, I love 4, but it makes no sense sales wise. Also they can't really update the game to make it up to modern standards, that's not how making games work
@@potatoeskimos "the core battlefield experience is still there" Yeah right, like classes? 2042 is a failure, and it may have killed Battlefield for good.
@@kalletaimi5094 yeah with you and sarky on this one, there’s barely a game here, people forget how far this game has come since release and it’s still nowhere near acceptable quality for a aaa priced game, vanguard gets hate but at least it has features 🤷🏼♂️ given they were the same price roughly at release
@@doriangrigorie7345 Not even true, post-launch support disappeared and half the stuff in this trailer was never implemented (like 2042 soldiers using BC2 weapons)
Can we just appreciate that they're putting the insane and silly maneuvers players are likely to do in the trailers? I love how they're basically acknowledging how wild players can be.
It probably referring to the fact there bringing back classoc maps meaning they'd obviously have to theme the vehicles to those maps but yes basically they are
@@foreigndrank459 Considering Dice have found plenty of ways to circumvent EAs nonsense with Battlefield 5 ending the cycle of Premium and paid expansion packs I think they will do just fine. If all the micro transactions are kept to just cosmetics or optional add one that don't effect gameplay I could care less as EA is not the developer just the publisher. The most power they have is controlling publicity and how micro transactions are to be implemented to generate money not where they go.
@@DevJB What does that have to do with Dice and EAs current situation. Also who are you even talking to you are just trying to emote on the wrong platform
I believe that this is the custom games mode, pretty much every Battlefield mashed into one custom games, thus why it shows knives vs Defibs. The rest of the game is a complete reboot of the franchise from what I've heard, but not too sure.
@@barelmaker Yeah I'm sure there will be issues, especially with this logic editor. There are gonna be things the devs could never have anticipated purely bc of the sheer number of players hopping on. As long as it isn't full on broken and they clear up launch issues relatively fast it's a successful launch imo. Perhaps this is naive of me but I'm shocked modern games on this level are even possible. This is BF, not some derpy 2d game. Not many franchises operate on this scale and utilize this level of tech. They have always been on the forefront of it all and are the ones pushing boundaries. Bugs are a part of that
@@RealFemale69 who needs a campaign when you have portal that allows for creating objectives and inclusion of bots You can literally make your own campaign basically just no cutscenes
They swindled us into buying this game that’s titled and marketed as “Battlefield”. We cannot let this happen again. I’m never preordering another EA game. I suggest everyone do the same. We might actually get a real battlefield game in the future
First we get a rendezook throwback, and now knives VS med paddles? That's some fan service right there...and I dig it. Nothing make sense about these timelines and it's awesome.
I recommended years ago that they come out with a game called Battlefields and it's every war thrown into one game, like DLC but its a different conflict; Vietnam era/Modern/Future
Why Battlefield's 2 , Battlefield's 3, Battlefield's 4 all got Mobile AA & Battlefield's 2042 Mobile AA where is it ? Is EA trying to Cheat us again !.....................................: PP

You know we all say they didn't lesrn anything from BF5 and Battlefront's launch. But the marketing team did because sweet god most of us fell for this.
The thing i love the most about this trailer is, it isnt just a trailer showing you battlefield...... its a trailer showing you the REAL battlefield. Players going knife crazy, Defibrillator kills, Vehicles and RCXDs rigged with c4, Dynamite vehicular launches to take out aerial vehicles.. this is the TRUE battlefield.
I don’t think it’s all in game footage and or mechanics, some of the vehicle mechanics seem a bit too realistic for a game. Every game does add fake cut scenes this to build more hype…
After they did what they want with bf5 and said "accept it or don't buy it" only to face a colossal failure they learned their lesson and did what players want
This game mode alone should have been the next main game of the series, and no fancy title like "universe" or "ultimate" just simply ""Battlefield Portal". With all the game modes, guns, gadgets, vehicles, and maps from Battlefield 3, Bad Company 2 and 1943. Plus adding other titles like Battlefield 1, Hardline, 2142 Battlefield 4, Vietnam, Battlefield 2, Bad Company 1. They would literally had 5+ years of content and if they wanted to add a new title all they needed to do is build it and add it as dlc.
