I remember that this trailer while hyping me up, also scared me because of how little gunplay was shown. How few enemies were killed on screen. BF3 and 4 had full length unedited gameplay segments uploaded back in the day, so we got to see everything as it was.
@@carlost856 Being pessimistic for everything only leads to depression. I choose to like 2042 because I'd rather just ignore it's flaws and enjoy it then hate it and feel empty.
@@subzerograndmaster5376 I hope the sheer scale and hectic nature of the game encourages people to play more activity than snipe cramping. I mean they have grappling hooks so hopefully that'll keep people from camping vantage points
I think they just didnt have a point system done for this trailer, if you slow down the video at 1:58 you see a red hitmarker (must be a kill indicator and not a headshot one because all his shots were on the head) and then they cut some frames where the unfinished system might have been.
Coming back to this now it’s actually amazing they were able to capture all this gameplay without any bugs. Gotta hand it to dice though, disregarding the one elephant in the room, they sure do know how to throw together a hype trailer
@@tonyyang2879 they would, if, especially this map, had more urban city rather than 75% desert, 15% stadium + other buildings and 10% of those 2-4 skyscrapers which are hardly used but for sniping. This map had so much potential for an awesome and immersive gameplay but they had to focus on their selling point of having big maps and 128 players. Every time I see those tons of towers outside the map I say, wouldn't it be great to have all that as a map with a sandstorm which holds longer than only 1 minute. Seriously, why is the storm so short, almost every battlefield since bf3 had a sandstorm for plenty of minutes and it gave such an awesome feeling of being in a war. And the most disappointing part, Levolution. Not a single tower can be destroyed, neither on this map nor on that other urban map, if you're even able to call it urban...
@@magomadr There is a reason the Sandstorms and Levolution aren't as game changing as before, it's not fun. Playing on Gulf of Oman is fun until the Sandstorm comes in which renders most vehicles and snipers useless and Siege of Shanghai is only fun until the tower collapses, then it becomes a dust filled slog with no areas where you'll have fun the most.
Lol savage. They probably had to do takes. Probably had bugs in some and had to redo the gameplay till there was one amazingly without them. Ugh this game could have been amazing. The potential is there.
Yeah especially with the lighting lol, would make it one of those moments where you just lay back and chilling out then all the sudden the doors open and a c4 is laying there lol
What are you on? There's multiple specialists that come up in both trailers and a couple (Sundance for one) where the abilities are demonstrated in both.

@@TheSanityX and there were 2 different Assault classes in Battlefield 3 trailers and no one noticed. Except in this case, we didn't know they were specialists since characters always looked the same. So actually they did hide them

@@rapid3384 Facing that its been active for 8 years with a strong playerbase that is constantly doubling and tripling at the moment due to CODs demise and boredom, it really is the best BF
So there should be an option to get above it through access hatch or something, to give you a chance to live at least maybe a shield or anti grenade device

I like how it says Pre-Alpha in the corner but it has more detail, stability, and features than the open beta released 4 months after this video. The open beta could not be more different than what is reflected above.
They have to cut a part of the game to create an exclusive version for the beta, which only has a few months of optimizing. While that pre-alpha might have already gone through a lot of major patches after they had cut the game to create the beta

It says pre-alpha, but it's a trailer, not actual gameplay. Remember: companies lie as much as they can get away with. Whenever some company presents "actual gameplay" before release, assume it isn't, it's the safest ("fool me twice", you know) default assumption.
@@lyfe8349 I agree with everything except the sound design, it's probably one of the best in the series. Some areas do fall flat, like some weapon sounds, but the ambience, vehicles, and movement sound great
I grew up with my dad just loving all of the Battlefield games gaming together, we both were eagerly waiting for the release of this one but unfortunately he passed away a couple days ago falling ill due to Covid ... I lost my mentor my favorite comrade man may his soul rest in the heavens I will keep on playing Battlefield for the two of us forever

Camping in bf aint that bad really, that's why its so good you can play it however you like. And as long as you have a good squad you can overcome anything

@@fozgoth If you played BFV you would realise how bad the cheating was. legit every other lobby had a cheater ruining the game. BF4 still has wayyyy less cheaters TO THIS DAY and its old/unsupported. It just goes to show how neglectful Dice were of BFV
@@prusianedwardschilean9499 they will also amp the graphics as much as they can for the trailers, when you get the game it will be toned down. Its hard to make games look bad nowadays tho, 2020 games look crisp, i just hope its not another cyberpunk or fallout. And we can actually play

@@jozovila5911 No, OP was indicating (with his up-charts emoji) that the game would sell high because of 'movie like scenes'. However, what OP fails to understand is that the history have proven multiple times what are the risks with pre-ordering games. You cannot rely on these pre-rendered scenes, because we know these (even AAA titles) will downgrade. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Like many, I feel deflated after first hours in BETA.Some of us did not like particular BF's, but in general we love BF franchise. --==-- Mods on /r/ Battlefield are deleting negative posts, so... I wanted to list features that were CUT - we had them in previous BF's, we don't now: - Crouch sprint, jumping and pulling up on high walls, leaning etc - Vehicle entering/leaving, changing places - on both land and air - spirit of US vs THEM - we are all mercenaries, we all look the same, we fight for nothing. This was super prominent in BF1 or BF5 , where WAR as not a choice, and SIDE of war was also not a choice for a given soldier. - fortification building / sand bags / mines / etc - general lack of nice animations - melee, resurrection, granade throws, fence hopping - special in-map kits (flamer) - points / scoreboard - this one is big - destruction is lowered - somewhat - you cant level buildings and all roofs are indestructible. without something like V1 rockets there is also no ooommth that can reshape battlefield - initiative to play as a squad/team- classes/tools - frontlines / bottlenecks / flanking maneuvers - its team deathmatch now with random spawns everywhere. Also thanks to AIR spawns and parachutes - infiltrations - in previous games one squad could slip and take points back, or unlock spawn points in the back of the frontline. - hitzones for vehicles and destroying their parts - tracks, wings etc - stealth gameplay / smoke / camouflage - squad coordination / orders / commanders - stationary weapons that can provide zoning and defenses - assisting roles - medic/engineer/anti-tank - its all in one now - so you dont care about team as you can do everything alone or with two people. Also everything autoheals. - clear objectives for a map - choke points, sniper plains, vehicle lands, shotguns bunkers- its all blend now - headshot and sniper importance for snipers, no spotting xp - no important points for dmging vehicles (10xp always) and no assists as drivers - initiative to be a good leader for your squad (to earn points/for xp/for victory) - suppresion - indicators for granades, medics, etc - no spawn camera - foliage is not moving when you enter/leave - scope zero-ing --==-- I will surely add more in time. Why cut all those? Why make BF such a flat shooter game when you had sourcecode of something much more. Sadge.
