Remember in the bfv trailer? It showed Rotterdam and a V1 being launched and then switched to a shot of Devastation (or whatever the destroyed city map was). What if they could actually make something like that happen? Like nukes can be called in or the weather just levels the entire city. So instead of two maps its one with different levels of destruction
I think it's going to add for some cool tactical stuff. Forcing people in the buildings to fight in the sky-scrappers will be cool if they can pull off those mechanics.
@@australianwi-fi You think that’d be the case but after watching multiple reactions to the trailer, most people have no clue at all about the dog and end up making fun of the idea. It really says something about how stupid people are these days that they can’t even keep up with current, well-known advancements.
He took the dog tags cuz in previous battlefields when you knife someone from behind you steal their tags and you can put them as a calling card. Kinda like a little trophy
Isn't it weird that today we get excited for 128 player matches but a PS3 games called MAG which did everything Battlefield did and more had 256 player matches 10 years ago..... on a PS3..... a PS3 🤯
@@lovanmedia5915 Nah, SONY bought ZIPPER back in 2006 and then shut ZIPPER down a few years after they completed there contracted games and as Zipper made MAG the servers also got shut down in 2014. Now SONY has all that locked away and probably forgotten about as they focus on exclusives and not big online multiplayers. I would love to see EA / DICE get a look at what coding they did to make that all work and if it could be replicated and even expanded on given the PS3 is like a calculator compared to PC's today 😁
"The ATVs at the top of the skyscraper are for driving down the side of the skyscraper as it's collapsing." I think you guys are now in the classic Battlefield mindset. Love it.
I love how it’s not OVERLY futuristic, there’s no lasers, there’s no jump packs, just modern military with the occasional robot and cool vehicles, and also the return of those huge events like the tower falling or giant telescope getting destroyed in 4, which is what the tornado appears to be
Same thing with Black ops 2, Just Modern enough to seem Realistic and within our lifetime, Without Bieng so early that it'll become outdated within a year, Black ops 2 for example is Gunna take place in the past in 4 more years
So the dog tags were from melee kills tag yu used to get. Ex. Battlefield 4. They stopped doing that when they introduced BF1 and BFV. So that little clip you saw was basically them saying it’s back.
Confirmed information today about this. 1.Theres a point system in game to use to call in vehicles anywhere on the map, so no killstreaks but scorestreaks? 2. Guns are customisable on the fly in game (think Crysis style pop up hud on weapon) 3. 128 player count (Only for next gen though ps5/Series X/High end PC) 4. Theres A.I bots to populate the modes, you can turn these off/on and play just against bots with your friends and all progression is still earnable. (Easy to farm) 5. Instead of Class based combatants, it's Specialists (Think Black-ops 3) The wingsuit guy is one, and the guy who takes dogtag and also looks at tornado is another. 6. All map content is free and updates except skins which will be micro transactions. However 3 new specialists will be released over the course of Year 1, (there is 3 battle passes during the first year to corespond with the specialists release dates.)
What's confirmed from EA and based off the trailer -these will be the largest maps ever in battlefield -destrucitble environments (obviously) -128 players lobbies, 64 people per team -natural disasters that influence the environments like the tornado and dust storm shown in the trailer -A new mode called "hazard zone" -no battle royale -no campaign -full attention towards multiplayer on this game
Unfortunately there's no campaign which is one of my favorite parts of Battlefield games, and there won't be a Battle Royale mode at launch. It'll be added later on; I think early 2022 is what I heard on Twitter. Also, the release date is October 22nd, 2021
@@bredust29 I wasn't having a dig at you, i was agreeing on some part that Battlefield will have a space exploration focus being Mars, the moon and space station maps, but most likely in BF 2142 😁
You guys do realize it's a live serves game. And good luck hopefully you have more money for the rest of the content. But hay like I always say. They 👿 you no. Sadly and have fun.
If you are interested in the narrative checkout the ea website there is an actual backstory as to what happened prior to 2042 it's quite interesting imo
theres no campaign but there is somewhat of a narrative. They are going the route of like overwatch, apex legends, league etc. where there is no single player but there is a woven together "story" of the world, who the soldiers are and how everything is the way it is in 2042, its on their their website, kind of cool imo.
Sorry, should have clarified, the trailer* has no narrative that I could discern - though i might be wrong there too. As far as I can tell it was just a highlight reel of fun, dumb shit that BF players have pulled off in previous titles
actually samoene did it in BF3 and BF4 and it was shout out to him for making that master piece move by pilote so heal yeah it can be allowed now to doit in BF2042
It is literally just that. The reasons for the 2042 setting is to complete the 42 trilogy (1942, 2042, 2142) and to allow for experimental and developmental military tech to be in the game. It’s basically modern
I'd the more I look the more uneasy I get. There will be specialists and that whole type of thing but besides that everything else seems FUCKING GREAT!!!
In 2142, the world is apocalyptic and everything's frozen over and/or destroyed. Random natural disasters like the fast forming tornadoes might be a way of showing what happened to make 2142's landscape look the way it did.
Off topic, but it's cool to see the crew at the same table again. I don't know why, but it just solidifies that feeling of normalcy. The game seems like it'll be intense, but I'll wait to see what the gameplay reveal looks like on Sunday. I am a little bummed that there won't be a campaign this time around, though. Edit: Seems like I started a bit of a war. Whoops.
i agree. plenty of room for opportunity if it’s the future, definitely would be interesting to see how they would expirement a storyline with planet crisis and all. too bad :(
@@ImmortanDan Sorry to burst you bubble mate, but anyone who actually pays close attention to worldwide politics, will tell you that normalcy isn't anywhere near in sight.
There’s never been a “kill streak unlock” in Battlefield. And no Battleroyale in Battlefield. It doesn’t need battleroyale. Environmental destructions has always been in the latest Battlefield games so my guess is that there will be different weather conditions in Battlefield 2042.
@@dogedoge2026 True! Let’s hope it changes the dynamic of the game for the better. Based on playing bf3 and bf4, it’s always the same sweaty people getting the vehicles from the spawn point.
@@dogedoge2026 yeah there is a point system now from what I read. Reminds me of Homefront back in the day, you got points and could call in uavs, tanks, or robot drones n stuff
@@shooplah4745 depends, it’s not difficult to get in vehicle in BF4 mainly because of the anti tank gadgets used, tho ppl camping for a tank was more popular in BFV so ig we’ll see
@@dogedoge2026 True man, I just played BF4 the other day and I saw the same people waiting for the attack heli the whole match. And on top of that, they got it every time which was rather unfortunate. Now for ground vehicles, I agree with you.
Not only that, information systems around the world are down. Countries aren't able to forecast weather so no one can predict when and where a tornados will appear
@@kingspeedwagon2612 I mean you don't need equipment to predict a weather, You can tell a tornadoes about to form when you go outside, Rain is cold af but the wind is Warm like a microwave, Then your Bones start hurting
Awesome that they added the jet rpg thing as a sort of easter egg thing. Meanwhile we get idiots going like "wow that's unrealistic" without knowing jackshit
I loved the wait for this game then it became disappointing after release. But now for me is almost as good as bf4 if they just tweak the gunplay a lil
they had a battle royale mode in BF5 called "firestorm" they was good but didn't have long legs. I wish firestorm was its own thing now just like warzone that would be cool. Same with mass effect MP
Glad to see dynamic weather and Levelution make it back into the Battlefield franchise. The only thing I don't like is the specialist because it really takes away from the large scope of war. Knowing that I'm running around with 128 players in a game and 20-30 of those players with the exact same player model and name really makes the gameplay feel cheap and less immersive and more like a revamped Fortnite game. I'd like to be a nameless soldier that I can modify (face, skin, camo, gear, etc.) and experience what BF3 and BF4 gave us, but with a more next-gen upgrade.
Not a game mode lol , when you knife someone in most (if not all , not sure) battlefield games , your character will yank off the dog tags and you will be able to unlock whichever ones they had
It's going to be the same shit of CoD every year, small maps, only a few maps available, short single player campaign, buggy and glitchy like CoD Cold War.
