Battlefield 2042 Random + WTF 26 Surprise Shocks

There is all-chat in the game. It's been there for months, but it requires you change a setting.

I don't believe so because I've had numerous times where I had someone in a takedown animation and they were reviving a teammate and it didn't kill me but it did allow them to revive during the animation even though they were basically dead. Should be in some previous Random + WTF videos.

Often times the trick is to have them make the first move. Whether that is to look like a deer in headlights so they think you are an easy or just possible kill or just bait it with a reload. Then it's like dodging in BC2 where you didn't have strafe sprinting, you'd cover more ground simply sprinting in a straight line at an angle away from them, more so than you could by simply strafing which gives you more of a window when they miss or overextend their charge or push to melee you. If you think desync can be bad with players just spam strafing it's even worse with full sprint animations.

@@Cynlixal tbf, not everyone bothers to check. Even when Warzone finally implemented the platform lock, nobody used it. Of course, it killed matchmaking.

All chat wasn't added to BF2042 until way later in the game's lifespan. It's also not enabled by default so the people who are likely to react are also the people who likely wouldn't know they need to turn the feature on to see enemy player's chatting. I have some but I don't know that I have enough for multiple videos and YT is being unpredictable at the moment so I'm hesitant to make one.

I'd say Battlefield 2 was a perfect Battlefield game for me. It was a culmination of core Battlefield mechanics and a lot of groundwork done on a mod for BF1942. However realistically you couldn't make Battlefield 2 today so I'd have to do as you said and consider the more recent Battlefield releases and what was good and bad in them to identify what I'd include to make the hypothetical perfect Battlefield game. It would take a long time of writing and creating the content I can already see being a nightmare, although my biggest issue is I don't like making anything that has a heavy focus on my voice or me using my voice. Because then it's not something I myself would want to watch since I don't like listening to my own voice. But I'll try to remember your comment so maybe some day it will be a video idea I'm more interested in. As for BF2042 it would be hard to even talk about what I like/dislike. I say hard because it depends. There were things I liked in the original core design of the game but are now gone or destroyed because of the changes and additions made by DICE after the game's launch based on "community feedback" or in some cases cries from a vocal minority. Also it would take too long to cover any portion of it. Anyways like with BF1 or BFV I'm just playing it a few times a week with friends so I'm still used to the most current Battlefield game and game engine because the next Battlefield game will use a build of BF2042 as a base or starting platform.

i see where you're comin from - it'd definitely be time-consuming to put together a vid like that, too. also your voice/cadence is fine - maybe a super high quality mic would make you feel differently? upgrading mics helped me a lot with that kind of thing

ah i get you. i'll be here if/when you do make that vid regardless. been watching since 2014 - watching your gameplay is always a good time :) and i appreciate you going out of your way to satiate my curiosities
