Heres an idea - From now on, why not use BF2042 as a new community test environment wiht a few new servers where they add new or tweeked stuff and ask us what we think - SURELY this would be a great way to revive / keep bf2042 going whilst giving INVALUABLE feedback from Dice's actual customer base !
Old gamer here, last played BF3. Can tell you EA and Dice is not interested. They milk the cow with least effort as possible and than move on to the next. Nothing changed since BF3 in that regard, as far as I can see. Bought the game 2 month ago, just to see what the franchise is up to atm, and the first thing I notice where some obvious bugs that still aren't fixed shortly before game eol. So nothing new and sad to see that some still believe Dice and EA care.
@@mariokrenz520 same here buddy - started on BF Bad company - EA does not care a bit. Some Dice people maybe still care but have henpecked to death by EA. I play 2042 and enjoy it to a large degree. I only play 3 or 4 socalled xp farm portal servers as I enjoy the balance of human and AI players. Cant play main servers as I cant be arsed with all the sweaty try hards :)
@@GhostGamingg the more i think about this the more it COULD be ideal. I really think a new CTE would be a new life iine to DIce to open up new comms with their loyal fansbase. Anyway, i dont know practically how useful this idea would be and how much or what they in relaity could usefully impliment into a BF2042 server but it seems like a great idea in my ignorance !f dice phrased it to EA as way to drum up conversation and excitement for the new game or to put it another way £££ then they might even go for it :) As you have some contact with Dice here and there - maybe you could sugest it - It might be SO obvious that no-one has actually thought of it
An UH-60 would definitely be obsolete by the time of 2042. Cant they just put some cool sci-fi features like the stealthy features on the special version made for unaliving Laden, or no tail rotors like the MD Explorer?
Maybe with the whole global collapse resources are scarce so the military’s are using old vehicles that were sitting around but I agree, would’ve been nice to see some changes. Just me tryna make it fit in the lore
To be honest, out of all the things they've could've ported from portal this is the most boring one. Wouldn't the warthog be waaay more exciting? Or is that too much to balance? More portal guns should also get ported asap. But bare minimum seems to be what dice does best. It certainly isn't enough to make me want to jump back in.
It's very underwhelming to pilot it. As a pilot you'll most likely end up at the bottom of the scoreboard no matter how good of a pilot you are. That's kinda frustrating I think
@@Targon999 yes it’s easy. When you play the selected mode you get double ribbons. Use Casper at first and you get intel ribbons and you get the assist ribbons. Then play as medic and get kills and get combat ribbons then throw down ammo and you get the ribbons for that. Cap or hold objectives and you get objective ribbons.
Small info, The Tow Missiles on attack and Stealth Shopper are a little bit faster since this last update. Dice didn't mentioned it but after the test we realised that are 2 seconds faster as before on 500 meters . In the previous update Dice had reduced the speed and also did not warn, they were so slow that they were useless, So now they've increased the speed again, who knows what other changes they've made without warning in the Patch notes.
Having worse weapons on this heli but tank it up much more would make it what it's supposed to be... a transport. I remember playing BF4 and being very good at piloting this thing. I usually just did some daring pickups and drops off team members around the map without being shot down and it was super fun "placing out players" as I'm more for the strategy than the combat. So if they could just tank this up so it's super hard to shoot down, but have it be pretty useless as an attack heli, then that would make it a perfect transport for those players who aren't just clustering together at one position of the map.
Bro Im sorry but Im a casual player and unlocking this was relatively easy by repairing and playing as Lis shooting her missiles out the sides which was actually fun
I don't get the community backlash on the new heli. UH-60 was never supposed to be a "brand-new" transport heli, that would offer something unique or be better in some sense than the existing gunship helis. It was supposed to be a nerfed and balanced version of the gunship heli, especially for breakthrough-like modes, where attack just usually steamrolls defence with the sheer amount of vehicles, CAV brawlers, MBTs, gunships. With flying gunships being the biggest perpetrator in terms of being an OP vehicle on attack side breakthrough.
The UH-60 Blackhawk should've been a separate vehicle of it's own, instead of porting the one from portal to base-game 2042. Here's my own version of the UH-60: UH-60Z Eagle Blackhawk upgraded with advanced features to stand against the future of warfare. Pilot: Missile Countermeasures, Jammer, Repair System, Cyber-warfare Protection System Left and Right Gunner: Remote-controlled 7.62mm LMG, RC 7.62mm Minigun, RC 12.7mm HMG
My annoyance level is pretty high so yes the new Helo is pretty good shes fast, agile, flanking ability the annoyance is how many enemies are at my flank and six now because of her , parachutes everywhere.
Every person that play breakthrow knows that flying canons destroy gameplay. Finaly they listen and replaced with transport heli. Thats the reason for update and will work 100%, when people realize that its a trasport.
I was mad when i saw i needed hundreds of kills with rhe Draugr to unlock other weapons for it... Dice is pissing me off with these unlock requirements lately.
Well Ive saw ppl using it on conquest, so I guess its already possible to get, of course you need to unlock it first, which takes a fair ammount of time. Hope to see an A10 and SU25 in the future.
Having unlocked it, in conquest it literally has no role. It's put into the same category as the Hind and Condor. It literally serves the same role but is weaker in all aspects. It needs, SOMETHING to differentiate it. Maybe it could drop a spawn point like the RAM does? That'd focus it even more on the transport role and gives it an X factor worth flying it for.
I think it definitely improved the balance in breakthrough. But that's about all its a transport vehicle after all just getting you from a to b is really the only purpose. I wonder in which category it will be in conquest having a dedicated air transport could improve some maps without shaking up the balance to much.
I am having fun with the game still.. but I can’t help but be mind blown at how far out you can easily get kills with the smgs in this game. In bf4 with a large open map there is now way you would take an smgs over an ar. In 2042 I barely touch the ar class because the smgs are superior in every way.
Yo, Ghost, this new patch from Dice is making PC version of Battlefield 2042 crash to desktop a lot. Have you experienced it as well crashed on me 3 times last night as well as my friends. Also thx for the videos
I tried the game so dying off more and more trying to find lobbies takes longer. Can't wait for Delta force to come to console fps needs a new game badly
Its crap. It gets stuck on trees and poles that can be destroyed by the pondhawk but not with the uh60. Replacing the hind and condor on breakthrough really really sucks. I usually play BT. And not having the normal gunships is really disappointing. The handling is much worse than the hind and a little bit worse than the condor. As far as i managed to see it also replaced the gunships on conquest 64. So i don't know how you can play with them again if you really want to. I think replacing them was a mistake. They gave us a super nerfed gunship in comparison to what we had.
I haven't personally played in months, I have sunken loads of hours since release. You're right that they can start experimenting since it's very far in its life cycle. Might even bring back the vets just to have a play and keep us updated that work is still being done. I really hope the next battlefield shines and gives us the real experience we need and want so bad. The Finals has been my favorite FPS. (Movement/Destruction/TTK/Squad based/F**K Around and find out situations.) Since I've stopped playing 2024. I hope BF can learn a lot from the community and the ever-changing landscape. BF6 Better be a banger!!! I don't sink max retail price often!
I have unlocked it but I won't play with it for sure. I mean there is already a transfer heli and it's so much better than this. The most useless addition in game from dice, I wonder what are smoking and the taking these decisions?
It's going to never be used. Why would you use it when you have the hind or condor that can attack ground vehicles as well. It's another useless thing in the game like the EOD bot
