I think you have forgotten some very important aspects of winning a conquest game. 1. DEFENDING is easier then CAPTURING so when a flag is being captured be the enemy team. Spawn on it (unless it's completely overrun of course) 2. BE on the BURN, the only way to win a game of conquest is to have the most flags you can't outkill a team only outburn them. So don't waste time on people not playing the objective but the ones that do. 3. Do NOT let the enemy team backrage the flags closed to your base. A or E flag for example on siege of shanghai. So defend them all the time, and try to capture the ones of the enemy team. So they can't put so much pressure on yours. 4. Try to communicate with your squad when you got a headset, you would be surprised how many people will communicate back or follow your orders. 5. know when to retrieve from a flag. It's sometimes better when your outnumbered to let them take the flag and then retake it when they leave. And don't let them know your there (so stay of the burn in that case)
The biggest flaw of any FPS game are the players. I rarely ever rage quit but when I do it's not because I'm getting owned so hard, but because my team mates are so incredibly stupid and don't give a shit about the objective or team work. So the best advice simply is "don't be a stupid moron".
Something I was really hoping levelcap would mention in the "how to use vehicles" is know where they should go, I mean when you start a game in conquest, and you get a fast vehicle like an heli or a quad bike, etc, you actually have the responsibility to go for further conquest points that the 1 or 2 closest ones, man I feel really frustrated when I spawn in the beginning of the match into a little bird or a combat heli transport heli as a gunner and the pilot decides he wants to use the heli to conquer the closest point... instead of going for the middle ones and drop some infantry in there that would grant an advantage at the beginning, I mean while you're using your heli to conquer a point that can and will be easily conquered by people who is going on foot or tanks, the other team conquers 3 points because they used their vehicles wisely. Like in Siege of Shangai, the helis are meant to defend the point C (B on PS3/XBOX360), with a little bird it is so easily to take over a fully loaded C point, but not some people just fly around all the other points leaving aside the clear advantage that the Heli has on that particular conquest point. And also, I REALLY REALLY HATE the snipers or people who use any kind of heli to go to any high point and then land it there. if you're gonna do that at least have the curtsey to destroy the heli so that your team can use it again.
Jason Henrie you can make new friends. If your squad doesn't click go to a different squad. Don't be scared of meeting new people and making new friends.
A good player drops constantly or depending on the situation health and ammo without getting asked for it. Douchbags or people who really don't know what they're doing may not drop a crap. That's how I see it.
It's really annoying on hardcore, but also easier. Whenever I'm injured and practically begging a medic for health, I just kill him and use his medkit and revive him if he has defibs.
It's amazing how easily you shoot boats and other ground-level targets with attack jet. I can fly around and sort of dogfight (or at least harass air targets), but I can never line up for a run on a ground vehicle, and when I try that, I do more damage by crashing into them than by shooting.

I know that it may sound weird, but if you introduce yourself in voice chat before you just do battle chatter and ask for things- people will be much more inclined to communicate with you. if you reduce the tension, make people understand that you are just another dude trying to have a good time, people will give you feedback.
AMAZING VIDEO LEVELCAP!! My dad recently switched from COD to BF4 and is maybe 2 weeks into playing it. I've been trying so hard to teach him the key points to being good at the game to bshorten the learning curve. It's been ruff since he's a COD player but I showed him this video and it's MAJORLY helped him, and beat it into his head what to do to be an asset to your team...and also how much of a "team" game this is, compared to what he has been used to.
Hey LevelCap I wanted to suggest something I don't think you've mentioned before, it's a little trick I like to use when driving the APCs, attack boats and choppers (anything that has magazine-based weapons). As soon as I jump in the vehicle I fire off a round from any and all weapons that use a magazine and then hit reload, the game will then start the weapon's magazine reloading process. By the time you're up to the front lines and ready for combat you'll have an extra magazine for each weapon minus one shot which can give you a big edge versus another vehicle; they'll be waiting for a reload from 0 ammo while you have just short of another full volley to throw their way. Agree wholeheartedly with the advice to get into vehicles. Would like to add to that you have to mind the odds you're up against. Are you going solo for a cap and notice three engineers? Bail out, go for another flag, or at least take some distance so you're able to take out a couple of infy before engaging the last one(s) up close. As much as you're no use dying as infy, neither are you dying as a tank driver.

Sneaking around on conquest with a suppressor capping all the flags is some of the most fun you can have in battlefield, And it's such a good distraction all it takes is 1 guy to cap some flags and the whole battle changes location.
What do you all think about defending a high-traffic point versus being more "offensive" and attacking flags held by the enemy? I've never been a defender in conquest (felt I was sitting around doing nothing at times) but the more I think about it the more I can appreciate the value of it, especially in high-value areas like B and C on Paracel, for example.
Let me add the strategy thats most valuable to me. Good teams put pressure on the right points, bad teams just think about fighting. So it really comes down to looking at the big map ALL the time. Sometimes a team takes all points at the map´s peripheral without costs and then locks down the other team in an excessive fight over one or two central flags. And why does the loosing team come back to the mass fight when the outer flags are clearly ungarded? Because they died in gunfights with individual players and are out for revenge. Never seek revenge or start nemisis battles, always look at the whole map!
I spend an hour on the test range before each gaming session warming up to piloting each vehicle and practicing different scenarios. It's smart to also use the dummy tanks to gauge how far above the object you need to aim to hit it at various ranges. If any of you haven't noticed the vehicles will tell you exactly how far you are fromo an object when you aim at it. So practice hitting them at 200, 150, 100, 50, ect yards and memorizing how you need to aim to hit those shots. That way when you're in battle you can quickly get your shots off without guessing where you need to aim. I did that with the HE rounds when i got the game and i can hit a fucking tick on the ground from 1,000 yards away now without even thinking about it.
Finally a very useful video. I always play solo as i do not have any battlefriends(everyone here is only cs, that too 1.6 only) to play with. And i guess this is applicable to bf3 also.
Everything that lvlcap pointed out is nothing extraordinary, however I don't see that much players do even half of what he said. Hell, nowdays noboby even spots enemy's
^this...the spot button is almost more valuable than your weapon, it should be used constantly with every class and vehicle. And yes, the idiots who focus on kills and nothing else are supremely annoying in conquest, i agree 100% that some good RTS skills can go a long way toward victory.

Only time i've seen jets unused are when the enemy shoots them down in under 1 min because they have all the ACE pilots and the MAA in their spawn with range of the auto AA. So you aircraft just become target practice and score feeders or fast transports.
lol, I was a lone engineer against an AA, and two tanks and I took em out by running in close and RPGing and Repair tooling while Bunny Hopping Everywhere :D So fun
This videos confirm my opinion you are a COD-like player. It's all about charging the enemy, taking fire, returning fire, using tanks for full frontal charges. You lack completely any tactical approach to CQ. Most of players cap a flag and then leave it to be recapped after 5 secs by enemies. The real strategy in CQ is to cap AND defend certain flags which are in strategic positions. This way you prevent enemies from getting points, you provide optimal respawn points for teammates and you allow teammates to focus on other flags. Most of the flags are captured (on 24 player servers) by one or two random guys because they are left un-attended. A flag can be easily defended by a team of 2 people. A 4 man squad can defend 2 close-by flags on bigger maps. With one man in jet, no vehicle can even come close. That means getting less kills and points but it also means giving your faction better chances of winning the game. That's strategy. You are just a slightly evolved COD player. Your videos just speak for you.
Does anybody else get that feeling? Running through a tunnel then getting a feeling someone's behind you then you die. it happens everywhere to me, its so annoying and I have no idea how to stop it.
I just hot done playing a game of conquest on operation locker and we trapped the enemy team in there spawn and there were pretty much pinned up against a corner like a wild animal it was so awesome.
If you looking for a new thing to do with your channel watching this gave me an idea try like giving spot light to other players as you did with that epic rpg shot im sure we'll have fun watching the epicness.
I like how levels like, oh I don't use the attack jets because I think they're OP. But he's sitting in the AA with active radar missiles. 9/10 times the AA will shit not only on attack jets but every single other air vehicle and it takes no skill to use. Attack jets will also do massive damage to everything but it takes a lot of skill to shoot down jets and choppers quickly with jets. Most of my friends can do anything against air when they fly because they can't use the cannons.

I got a tip: all ways go down with your vehicle because the enemy could take it repair and that's a disadvantage for you're team because if there just scattered around then what the hell
good points, All in All, 1 person cannot win Conquest by themselves, Hopefully you meet fellow players doing objective trying to win, and i agree Key Points are important certain extra tanks, vehicles, etc spawn there giving you the advantage
Really I thought the attack jets are pretty weak. They are weaker than the BF3 attack jets. You cant even kill a tank in a single straf in BF4. Until you get JDAM bombs or Hydra rockets.
You must be doing it wrong, even with the default setup you get, tanks are easily picked off in one strafe. you possibly need to make your angle of attack more vertical
DonPimpNutz Yeah I know that they can take out a tank in one strafe but I strongly think that most of the others secondary wepons would also do the job well and they would be more polyvalent
Pretty basic tip for transport/scouthelis: If you have other people on the vechile don't just bail in middle of a nowhere if you get hit/ locked on try to get it stable and closer to objectives so people can bail out safely and don't have to waste their time.
Bottom line, best thing to do in conquest is to be the squad leader and just highlight the flags. Get tons of xp and you command the other players. It's a win win situation.
The thing behind a lot of peoples problems is the fact that MOST players are either Too good or realy bad, if your a tank driver someone will spawn on you and immediately eject from it blindly running into a AP shell, or if you are to try to help from the sky, AA tanks are clearly the dominant victor and will always find away to get rid of you,
Stealth Jets with 25mm and laser guided missiles... I've gotten most of my jet kills with a stealth jet taking out vehicles with the laser guided missiles. And I do most of this stuff without thinking but the squad thing for example, I never thought about that in depth.
I wouldn't use 25mm for the stealth jets, they're good for air to air combat because its a bigger round and the rate of fire is still the same as the 20mm but the 30mm is the most devastating gun for stealth jets, because they take out enemy jets out in quickly and good for taking out light to medium armored vehicles
I see your point in having a fair right but I'd rather down my enemies faster before they can go defensive and recover. And I will admit it is a cheap kill but it keeps the enemies outta the sky

Just started driving tanks yesterday and found out I'm pretty good at it. have most of the unlocks from time served as a gunner. But the flying? It's actually depressing how shit I'm compared to the elites. It seems like I'll never be good enough to be useful.
Completely depends on what you want really. Flares should be used when the missile has already been fired (beeping tone). ECM is used to give you time to get away from whoever is locking you, so they should be dropped when you are being locked on to (solid tone). But ECM can be used instead of flares but there is a large possibility they will do nothing.
I personally prefer ECM but ill help you choose. Flares are more reliable to stop a single rocket. While ECM is less likely to avoid the rocket it prevents lock on for maybe 10-15 seconds after deployed. Flares are better when there is less than 2 people trying to lock on. Any more and you'll want ECM.
What do you mean spawning on a enemy covered area is not a good idea? You go in like rambo, your team-mates see your brave assault, then join, thus creating a domino effect.
very good video.. but the problem, that most players dont know how to kill the enemy in front stays.. most times i die, its because i get overwhelmed, holding the front or a specific point solo... 2/3 of the team are just camping in one corner of the map or at one point and thats how most "rape" situations occure.. if the team get somehow the hang of it and diverse, than most of the times the table is turned and we win. so my pro tip, diverse! may it be to use all vehicles like LVLcap said or to be spread out on the entire map. just dont stuck all together and lets make the best out of bugfield 4!
I don't use jets, it would be a waste (I should train more), I love all choppas but I usually never have repair or co-pilot with me so my run don't last long. Flying a Little Bird is like I'm always facing a full geared ennemy, with 2 engineers using stinger... feel so lonely. ;)

So, Jack-of-all-Trades is better than being a specialist in certain roles. Is it better to fight head-on and push the frontlines and keep a heavy presence on offense or harass the enemy with sneak operations examples like stealing objectives behind enemy lines?
I can't fly for shit but I make a great run and gun medic who revives all the time. Unfortunately I nearly get revived even with a team full of medics.
even IFV, attack chopper and stealth jets can turn a game...you just need the right map and the skill to handle these vehicles effectively. :-) stealth jet absolutely dominates air, every map. IFV is an infantry shredding machine with decent damage against vehicles if you take anti tank rounds and zunis. try floodzone and stay on the highway. watch yourself go 30-0 every second match. ever tried attack chopper on dawnbreaker/shanghai? it's brutal.
My hint: Prone when a hostile aircraft is near you, they wont see you unless you could prone in time. It sure may work for land vehicles too. EDIT: Also add me in PS 4 or PS 3: Adrian Rapp
the attack jets need a nerf but only cannon fire on helis and jets, the attack jet is ment to be for ground attack only but dice adding in heat seekers for it just makes it OP
