Okay I’d love to just rant that I have about 10,000 hours into the Battlefield series on console, and I can confidently say that we have the most useless and mentally unstable player base in the history of people that are really bad at video games. Your clip at around 8:00 perfectly summarizes what it’s like to play BFV console with an “average” team of blueberries, who Zerg one flag at a time around a map the whole game and have the situational awareness of a 60mm mortar shell, or, better yet, somehow manage to die more times in 2 minutes than a relatively inexperienced toddler playing a CS tournament does in 4 matches. It’s disgusting and really really annoying, especially now that BFV has effectively dropped amounts of players as it becomes less and less relevant, furthering the demise of the quality of the community. Really hard to play effectively as a solo player or even with a squad when your entire team is wedged into a corner with a MMG or trying to wipe the stupidity off of their glasses as they spam the respawn button. Really nice. Really, really quality experience. If you’ve got an Xbox and a set of thumbs you know how to use, maybe some of you can relate. Good day.
I wouldn't put all the blame for your experiences whilst playing solo on the console player base. Most of the frustration and randomness comes from the game itself ( game mechanics, classes, etc. ). The same types of players existed during BC1, BC2, BF3, BF4, BF1, and they still exist in BFV. But in the previous Battlefield games like BC1, BC2 and BF3 those awful solo play experiences were less noticeable not because there were less of those types of players you mentioned but because those games didn't allow or made it much harder for those types of players to influence the outcome of the round. Those previous Battlefield titles supported solo play better whether that was intentional or accidental ( likely accidental, I'll explain further down ) it meant doing well on your own had an effect on the outcome of the round but it also meant that there was natural teamplay no matter what skill level. For example a new player dropping themselves ammo as Support class ( BF3 ) gave anyone on their team in proximity ammo it didn't matter if they were intending to only give it to themselves they now supported their team. However in BFV they put heavy focus on playing the game as a team by making changes to classes and game mechanics to support the "Attrition System". Those changes and the Attrition System are a way to force teamplay but you can't force teamplay onto random players in a pub, that never works out the way you want it to. So you're left with a game that really only supports players that play "as a squad". Considering how many random players playing alone make up the majority of a server's population you end up with moments and experiences you described because the game is trying to force teamplay instead of letting it be more natural/accidental. I hope that made some sort of sense. TLDR: "Hate the game, not the player".
Hello Ravic. For BF4, do you mind sharing your video game settings like resolution and other shadow, texture,... etc... settings? Also, internet up/down speed. Thank you!
Hey Ravic, I love watching your vids and also play BF5 but I need help in all sections of game: Tank, Infantry, Planes. For Tanks and Infantry, I can’t aim and get frustrated in moments when I can Kill some in but can’t. Also I play on console but might change to PC when I get older. For planes it steering and maneuvering. Sorry this is so long, I just want to be better at the game. Keep being a great gamer!!
If it's not too much trouble, could you please set up an eye-tracker? I would love to see where advanced players like yourself look at the screen in certain situations :)
If only I could play with your squad, but I don't play on PC... yet. (But really, there's nobody I know who would play this game. Or play in similar times.)
I think I'm skipping this weeks TOW because I'm playing The Division 2. I jumped in to get the melee weapon last week but mus1ck said the reward this week was meh so I'd rather spend it "grinding" away in Division.
Yes in Conquest if the time runs out it is a draw. According to DICE devs it is because they could not have a separate version of "Conquest" between normal Conquest and the Conquest they put in Grand Operations and they apparently needed the draw to be possible in Grand Operations.
@@samuel_3874 lol, the point i'm making, is that Dice LA would not exist if it wasn't for DICE Stockholm in the first place. Despite its flaws, BF5 is still one of the best shooters on the market, with rock solid gunplay.
