I wanna wish a happy birthday to Cbot 902 and Speedy-9001! (This is pretty much their birthday gift video 😜) And thank you Speedy for partaking in the filming sessions, it was worth the time you've took part for this project. 😊 And a very special thanks to gabewillis8 and his UAF Milsim community on PS4 for taking part of the Wake Island reenactment event, it took such a long time to prepare, but we did spend one helluva great job on this historical recreation. If any of you are interested in joining a PS4 Milsim events, you can find gabewillis8's channel here for more info! ru-vid.com/show-UC8Cy4wqVhmIFSBzqhw8bsuQvideos We are still open for more members of the Battlefield PS4 community to join the World War Features film crew to take part of our journey in creating historically accurate cinematics on Battlefield 1 & V. You will need a PS4, a microphone, (optional as long as you can listen PROPERLY) be at least the age of 16+, and are in the region of North America and Europe. If you have all of the above, add my PSN here ---> Qwarky007 Thank you guys for watching, and I will see you on the Battlefields!
Fun fact: Back in the Battle of Wake Island, they armed the construction workers which where basically civilians and where poorly trained and trained by U.S soldiers for 10 minutes probably.
I would’ve love to join but I didn’t get BfV over the controversy. But I’m glad you enjoyed it, I was apart of the Poor Wayfaring Solider bit, it was fun :)
I gotta say, this video was AWESOME. But, I’m gonna be that guy and correct you on the one thing that made me cringe. The M1 Garand was first issued in small numbers to the US ARMY in 1936. In 1941 and especially at Wake Island, the US Marine Corp was still using the somewhat outdated M1903 Springfield. So no US personal on Wake ever had the M1 Garand. I’m guessing it’s hard to use the M1903 when it’s not in the game as well as substituting it for another rifle, but that was the one thing that annoyed me. Anyway are you going to do the phony war next or are you focusing on the Pacific theatre for now? Once again great video I loved it!
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah so we were reluctant about the M1 Garand use in this video since they were issued with the M1903 Springfield. But we kinda went on with it for fair gunplay during the re-enactment 🙃 Oh they never added the M1903 Springfields in the game sadly so yeah, that’s one of the reasons why we went to use the Garand as well.
Qwark007 Yeah it really sucks that they cut support for the game so we’ll never see the Springfield in game and I do understand why you had to use them for balancing purposes. Anyway once again I love the video and look forward to seeing the next installment of this amazing series! Really wish I had a PS4 so I could join you!
Too bad they never released the 1903 Springfield. When doing historical loadouts I use the Krag-Jørgensen since it was the service rifle of the United States pre WW1, or the Kar98k with mint sights since the 1903 Springfield essentially copied the Mauser action.
@@obviouspseudonym9345 The Krag-Jørgenson wasnt ever used in the First World War, it was only used as a training rifle, but that was starting to fade to the fact the US was using the 1891 Mosin Nagants for training purposes
@@Major_Bomber187 Yes. That's why I said they were the service rifle "Pre-WW1." I'll use the Krag-Jørgensen for US scout only on Pacific Maps as a sort of subtle historical nod to the fact that the USMC usually was issued the outdated equipment, like WW1 era 1903 Springfield Sniper Rifles and scopes carried into WW2. In European maps however, I use the Kar98k. Although I do believe Krag-Jørgensen rifles were taken to France by some rear line troops in WW1 however, but of course didn't see much, if any combat.
You remember I still have the footage what we did have done at off times where Qwarky didn't tell us what we should do That Tank with the bois on top Just funny man
As a ww2 history fan, I enjoyed the video to the fullest. I wouldn't play without the HUD in general, but as for a video like this, it's really nice. Also, I'm the type of a player who likes realism, even in a game like Battlefield V. It still makes me sad to see players using "wrong" weapons with certain factions. For example in this map, Wake Island, there should only be American and Japanese weapons available. And of course the ones from other nations which were actually used by each side. It's very common to see Americans using the STG and most players won't care. I guess I'm one of the few, who feel betrayed by DICE. Although I realize Battlefield was never the most realistic shooter. We need a game with BFV's gunplay and gameplay (the working parts) + these authentic things I just mentioned. Maybe with community games and hardcore there will be a possibility to play this more authentic way. Just when we are really getting the community games in this game, is still a mystery...
Sane so you think playing with an Arisaka rifle is going to be fun? Go and play hell let loose if you want a realistic shooter, also BF games never featured “realistic lodouts” I don’t know how you can feel betrayed
Used your video to help me type my essay for U.S. History. Thanks man for helping so much definitely wouldn’t of been able to complete this without the amazing gameplay and historical accuracy you recreated. 💕
Hey Qwark, M33M5 here (it's leet speak everyone). This was a lot better then I expected, I knew you would go all out, but I didn't think it would be THIS good, I'd like to say I'm sorry for calling it quits so fast in the Film crew group, I wasn't feeling it, acting isn't my thing. On the bright side, I was and still am completely honored to have met you on that fateful day on that match of River Somme, I didn't expect to see you there, I was getting pretty into it, even with my HUD on, but playing with you and getting to know you and your friends was a fantastic experience for me. I may not participate, I may not be in a party talking with you about the Film crew at times, but I'm always here, waiting for you to upload that one picture perfect No HUD video, whether it be BF1 or V. I know I'm pretty late to the party, and that I have low chances of you replying, but I just wanted to say thank you, for the entertainment you have created for me, and everyone else. Take care man.
One inaccuracy I have to point out. There were almost no M1 Garands at wake island as the M1 was not fully adopted by the marines yet and the island only housed marines. The marines would either be equipped with 1903 springfields or M1917 Enfields, both essentially Mauser action rifles meaning both sides fought against each other with Mauser rifles. The M2 would be used at this battle but the water cooled variation. So would water cooled Lewis guns. The bar is accurate for this battle though. The browning M1917 and Vickers NG would also be used (these guys are essentially stuck in WW1 era US). The Thompson would be used on wake island. Since this is very early in the war the Japanese would be using the type 38. Pretty much every early war Japanese gun would be used at wake island. They aren’t classics like the terrible Nambu pistol but they are overall better than late war Japan (as they could afford to use expensive good weapons).
Qwark007 it’s sad that they didn’t even add the P14 since it was pretty decently used by British snipers (the M1917s British cousin) nor did they add the 1903 Springfield. It’s especially sad since the models are there too.
@@Astronomical_Cinematics you could have used the ross rifle or the Kraig jorgsen to replace it since both look fairly similar to the Springfield and the Kraig was used by the us (granted it was way before and would be outdated) but it would have worked since the Kraig has a similar build to the Springfield
It’s sad how there’s no 1903 Springfield in Battlefield 5 because that was their standard issue rifle back then and the M1 Garand wasn’t that mass produced at that time till around mid ww2.
@@yourenotperfect.9493 No I know exactly where I'm at. I'm talking about the Band of Brothers in war not the HBO series kiddo. You're thinking of the HBO series The Pacific.👍
This is awesome! Omg so cool! Wish they did one on the battle of Hong Kong in December 1941 that was attacked on the very same day as Pearl Harbour and Wake 🏝
So wierd to see friendlys all in one spot anytime I take the time to sit and defend i get shwacked from behind where i thought friendlies were hanging but decided to bounce on me
Thanks for pointing that out. Just kinda realize that just right about the video is posted, overall I thought it was alright, but still kind of inaccurate when I realized
Sadly the M1903 Springfield rifle weren’t added into the game. But we were happy to use it if they added it in the first place. So yes you’re correct but it wasn’t in the game to recreate this event.
God i would love to participate in something like this, i try to use historically accurate loadouts in actual games but it always breaks my immersion when i see a British soldier using a type 2a lol
