Its a shame that storytelling in this capacity is seen as a nazi story by alot of people. When it is the complete opposite. The symbolism behind this is amazing and the character development is amazing honestly i wish this was a longer story
BFV: IT'S OVER... Don't you see? They left us... They don't care about us anymore. Dice: C'mon, you know isn't true... Comeback. BFV: No... I'm just gonna go. EA: *Shoots BFV* we don't earn money anymore from it, WE NEED MORE MONEY FOR OUR COMPANY, IT'S WHAT WE ALL WANT.
@@sleepyeet I actually like that the songs had variations, the menu versions, (which sounded more complete in some senses,) aftermatch versions, (which had certain instruments emphasized,) campaign versions, (which had instrument solos) and there were even some beta versions, (which were bombastic and unfiltered.) At least that what my ears caught.
"Look around you Peter! God help us! The things we believed in. The things we have done! It's all over!" It would of sucked to be in the German military in Spring 1945. Everything collapsing around you, no fuel, lack of rations, not enough ammunition. God knows how they kept fighting on the back foot since 1943 against the USSR and then the Western Allies.
Many Germans DID surrender en mass, they saw the writing on the wall and decided that they weren’t going to die for a war that was already lost. Or in the case of the military’s foreign conscripts from occupied territories, they weren’t going to die for a nation that invaded and destroyed their homeland. But others… Others kept fighting, there were many reasons why they continued fighting, there’s of course those fanatically loyal to their country and/or the Third Reich. But there are also other reasons why they kept fighting, a desire to protect their families, a vain hope that they could somehow win, and many others besides those. And a very important note is that, some members of the Wehrmacht, SS, and other branches of the military on the eastern front were volunteers from other countries who were motivated by revenge against the Soviet Union for what the Soviets did to their countries and peoples. These volunteers didn’t necessarily all believe in the Ideology of the Third Reich, and (as mentioned) many were motivated by revenge among various other reasons.
From 2:16/2:17 - Church organ, such subtle entrance of them, especially on 2:23/2:24, what a moment to place such powerful one note. Masterpiece of storytelling just by music
@@raeaugustus586 without mention the music that sounds during the Tiger escape thru the bridge, the choral vocals, the church organ, looking at the burning flags falling down as the tank make his way thru the flames and smoke, beatiful
Ich liebe es, wie dieses Spiel der menschlichen Seite deutscher Soldaten zeigt, dass sie nicht alle nur verrückte, wütende, böse Kreaturen waren. Sie taten genauso weh wie alle anderen im Krieg.
Unfortunately when it boils down to just the soldiers a lot of them would’ve had a lot in common with each other and probably would’ve made good friends
Also it’s worth mentioning that many German soldiers were unaware of the atrocities being committed by their government. Most of them were fighting for the humiliation and unjust treatment of their country in the aftermath of WW1.
@@polter_zi remember hearing that during the battle of Berlin the 9th arny evacuated civilians across the Elbe to western germany, that's a good example of it in my opinion
I hope it is just all conjecture and is not being blown out of proportion by the community. They said that future details will be subject to change based on feedback, so hopefully that we'll continue to see future content.
2:44 the battlefield franchise has its problems like any other, but the music in this game is just perfect a franquia battlefield tem seus problemas como qualquer outra, mas as musicas desse game são simplismente perfeitas
I will never understand, I don't think any human can comprehend the battlefield, not in a rational way, or morally. Even so the soldiers that fought the battles for the innocent and the weak, I thank you from the bottem reaches of my soul. A world of flames in which you all extinguished, fighting for what you believed was right. Peace to the fallen, you can rest knowing what you fought for turned for the better.
So were the ones he would've killed, realistically conscripted like him. This is what's horrible about war: makes you kill your fellow men. Not monsters; men. People you might not even know but who have families, friendships, lives, just as you do.
@@theformerkaiser9391 *(Müller tears off his Iron Cross and drops it on the ground, and slowly raises his arms in surrender, much to the utter anguish and disgust from Schröder)* Schröder: "NEIN!!!"
How the hell this scene can hit so much I think we'll remember many scenes like this one, coming from video games. That's our generation, people of 2000's
The Last Tiger was the real "World War 2 like you've never seen before" in this game. Can't really remember any singleplayer game where they protagonist is on the side of Germany... Battlefield 5 was probably the first. Despite the issues of this game, music was never really one of them
I was happy at first thinking that multiplayer would have more time to be better with singleplayer gone (probably no one cares about if after finishing once). Sadly even being an multiplayer only game it has huge problems.
Guys im about to make ur day better, actually in the ending, Schrodinger's mp40 was out of bullets (you can see that from the bolt, its empty) so the gunshot was probably americans shooting schrodinger, yeah but then peter was captured, so it's better if he was just killed
2:49 This is my favorite part. Everything has turned to ashes, and in the crumbling, empty space, the I feel like the narrator is slowly telling me all of this. The realization that this is history...
And perhabs more of the enemy side like the germans , or play tue soviet union . So much potential wasted and we only got this one masterpiece of a mission
Game was still great though I played it beginning to the end and enjoyed it so much. Everyone still brings up that whole female arm fiasco and she was in the game but she never had a metal arm they completely removed that. Besides that the gameplay and visuals and vehicles were amazing.. bf1 was also amazing even though shooting in there was very difficult.
This game has a lot of sentimental values after the terrible release and other problems. I’m still a fan of it though since they fixed it, but damn we felt this day 1.
@@kytoonic5950 nah , it doesn't feel right . I mean its your taste so I leave that to you but for me like everyone else , it's sadly a wasted potential for more
@@ArctrooperHavoc Its not similar in any way to battlefield 1, the atmosphere of battlefield 5 is completely different, the movement is different, there are little to no pickable kits such as sentry, machine gunner, anti tank gunner etc in battlefield 5. Behemoths were removed and till this day remain exclusive to battlefield 1. There's just flamethrower and katana that too on iwo jima and japanese maps. I can list more if you want to but one thing for sure, both games are not VERY similar except for the core (ofcourse its a part of the series, destruction etc are the obvious similarities)
If it helps to know the gunshot that was heard when the screen went black was from a m3 grease gun not a mp40 so it would mean that Peter is alive and the other dude was shot
It's just the fact that it shows that the Germans were still caring, most of them only fought out of fear because with hitler, it was either, fight for him, or die, there was no other choice, they were still human, but hitler youths were just raised into it and thought it was normal
Actualy it's not the only thing fun about it like they Updates ans fixed it alot if your a hardcore gamer well sucks to be you cause the* creative and fun* Players like me enjoy this
@@606films9 well if you think cod is better when it was just Look all of the other cods but in a different timeline then your pretty much wrong cause battlefield 5 Was suprisingly fun thing no more cross play on concil and they made major fixes in game play so yeah it's more of a fun ww2 shpoter I can't find any others that gives me bsttlefeild 1 vines but battlefield V
Peter Müller, even though he is a ruthless killer but he shows is an amazing leadership, even though hartmann is a deserter most german soldiers call him a coward and weak to Müller himself he is one of his crew who does his duty well even i can feel his emotion of losing hartmann and also losing kertz Best BF5 story I ever seen
@@tavish4699 And the assault on the beetfield or the whole situation, that there is just a small decimated US-Unit in this sector left and they have to fight against overwhelming german forces. In April 1945. 3 Weeks before the war ends. With Berlin and most of germany taken by the allies. And no more german industry.
I hope Schröder would have been taken as a prisoner, he was the type of person that didn’t deserve an immediate end to the pain and grief. Instead deserved punishment.
EA *shoots battlefield* Dice "battlefielddd, baaaatlefield" EA "But it wasn't making us enough money" DICE *Holding Battlefields Corpse in their hands*
Me playing other campaign: Hm...kinda fun to play I guess...just makes no sense, historical accuracy out the roof! Me playing the Last Tiger: KERTZ! KEEEERTZ!
this just shows what germany had become after world war 1 which the allies blamed only the germans . germany had to defend austria due to russia . all tho my deceased grandpa was a german tank commander he never participated in any battle and never saw service
@@insideroman8864 nah not it. like part of it yes but 2:43 is not devestation. it's some version battlefield theme played on trumpet or something (apologies not really good with musical instrument :p)
