The vehicle physics from bf2 and bfv still haven't been beat by any battlefield game, they were just perfect. They used way more sophisticated physics and flight control simulation for the helicopters and jets which made them so much more skilled. You had to control rpm, angle of attack, center mass, etc. I would say the BF2042 Jets are a big improvement finally, but the helicopter controls are still lagging behind BF2
This brings back memories. AMD Athlon 64 and 2 gigs of ram a cheap AIT radeon of some kind and countless hours of epic Bfv. Best battlefield game ever made

I sued to love Battlefield Vietnam, Battlefield 1942 with Desert Combat mod. I was just sitting in the bath and out of no where it hit me. I haven't thought about them in like 10 years. I will have to seek them out now.
Aaah, back when the game designers managed to make visuals clear enough so that you didn't need a bunch of neon UI overlay. Modern games with more high end graphics tend to focus too much on realism over readable in-game visuals, so that they need those UI overlay crutches. Enemies on the minimap wasn't a thing, so you looked for enemies in game. Live spotting wasn't a thing either, but I would welcome a directional ping. And they didn't cover the screen with arcady pop-ups for reward addicts. Those awards would do good on an end of battle screen though. Also you didn't spawn on teammates. Why did that become a thing instead of transport vehicles with set amount of spawns, that can be refilled. Transport helicopters, trucks, humwees, APCs and the like could do that nicely. It's supposed to be a little bit strategic isn't it? If you die and can spawn on a team-mate right at the front, what value does a life have? What value does a medic have? There's no tension, just instant action.
Call of duty made instant action popular in warfare games. So bf had to copy a lot of cod in many ways. But ya, after a while of respawning way back at base and waiting for transport vehicles got old compared to instant action games. So I'd jump into bf2 or cof4mw
well ever since twitch and other streaming sources rolled out, everyone’s started playing so competitively because everyone wants to be the next faze clan or ninja, ruins some game’s experiences tbh

I remember I would keep a tank in action , keep her repaired, fix up and relocate, survive an air attack and make it to the next place I was needed. I finally was pinned down by a mig and two commie tanks with infantry support. My team tried to help me but I was gunned down. Then I returned in a wonderful cobra
You should get a Windows XP pc just if you're ever going to make more BF1942 or BFV videos. A lot of the voice overs in this game are missing because of playing it on Windows Vista or higher.
