@@sirjackson321as far as I can remember the original devs of ea’s battlefront II, who were the ones who gave us grievous, kenobi, anakin and all that other cool stuff, left when ea cut support for the game
Thanks zanny for posting BF2 btw❤ IMPORTANT: This happened to me on May the 4th btw! and i was distraught FIX: Uninstall the game and reinstall worked for me Dont lose hope ppl 🙏
It’s wild to me that EA is such a greedy company and the one thing that will actually make them money (making a battlefront 3 or updating battlefront 2 with dlc characters/maps) they drop and ignore. For a company all about money they suck at actually doing anything that makes them money. If anything they constantly do things that make people hate them more. It’s a paradox
most companies (especially EA) are more focused on making a quick buck instead of having a constant revenue stream since big money will look better in the quarterly shareholder reports. EA is really stupid for not updating battlefront 2 though, they literally made one of the greatest comebacks in recent history and updates themed around mando, bad batch, or other more recent shows would've made them money. Instead they pulled out early because they're pissed off about not being able to monitize the game with lootboxes
@@spiddoodle They really said "we got caught, we're going to quit on this game. Our new one will have even more subtle ways to leech money from customers"
I wouldn't be surprised if they were trying to kill it. If you're busy consuming old product, then you won't consume new product, and the shareholders need you to consume new product so they can afford more yachts and investment properties.
@@mrvoice3436 The careful balance of killing it without alienating players. They pull the plug on the servers, and a chunk of BF2 players will stop buying future EA games because of it. If they nudge it towards a slower death of players voluntarily stopping, then it dies without the playerbase swearing never to buy EA again.
@@nexor7809 That was him BM-ing Zanny, but double-tapping the bodies to make sure they're dead fits these focused, apathetic rebel soldiers who are just unhinged at this point
I already lost my progress awhile back cause of a problem w my ea account. So cool that an non cross-play game requires an ea account and all your progress is linked to it
@@catodes1295 I watched his videos on SWTOR and he is playing The Witcher games which are similar in terms of game style, which are good videos. I'm pretty sure he would like the Mass Effect Series. I know he would love either Liara or Tali 😂
I came back as a level 13 with mostly stock cards and stock gun. First death was to a level 837 with maxed cards. Kinda hard to have fun when youre soooo far behind.
I've tried coming back to the game a few times and every time I either can't find a lobby or the lobby that I do get (and seemingly the only server active) is rampant with cheaters wiping everyone from across the map or spawning in mountains of vehicles. It's crazy considering you can still play BF4/BF1 servers and rarely encounter a cheater, but for some reason it's like anticheat for battlefront just doesn't exist and completely makes the servers unplayable, same with titanfall a while back (haven't touched titanfall since then so idk if it's gotten better) but it's just really sad to see. Wish we could get an actual battlefront game with some love put into it, like the galactic contention group in squad but make it a full game with empire v rebels, clone wars, heroes, space combat, etc, and it'd probably be game of the decade. Even if battlefront 2 was still receiving updates, it's not a bad game, they just dropped it far too soon to focus on battlefart 2042 (and now whatever comes after that)
The exact same thing happened in the 2015 battlefront. it took about a month for them to fix it bc the loss of progress was permanent until it was fixed. this one happened last year tho.
Slightly after it's peak actually. The peak was with the Prequel Trilogy content being added, but then they soured it with the stupid sequel crap from Rise Of Skywalker, which is when they announced they were cancelling it.
@@TheFirstCurse1The Rise of Skywalker stuff was fine and brought some fun stuff like "Hell from Above except indoors", "Mama Chain Gun", "Kick Trooper" and "Revamped Jets" along with the B A L L S.
A couple years ago something like this happened for about three or four hours everyone was just level one. I wonder if this glitch is gonna keep getting worse
During the event, the best way to fix it was to just go to single player, specifically Campaign. Oddly enough the milestone tracking was functional in story mode, unlike arcade where it was stuck on a blank milestone page. You could do the extreme and reinstall the game but that was honestly the most pathetic method because some who did it ended up waiting a day or 2 (this only applies to really poor connection speeds, range, network traffic, and availability, etc) If you are going through this still, for some reason, make sure to try Campaign at least one mission (I recommend the kylo ren sequence, since it's short) then head back to the menu and it should be fixed. If not close and restart the game, make sure your connection to servers are stable enough,i recommend using the closest ping site but experiment with your network settings, anything to help you have the best connection stability or speed. If nothing works then you won't be able to do much except wait and try again as the team in charge of the server-side operations is extremely small and have no permission to go beyond what their job/bosses allows
I opened the game today and it was as if I had just bought it, I had all my progress, but everything was unequipped and all cosmetics were marked as unseen. It has not fixed itself after about 20-30 matches today
Had this happen when I was showing my friends my star cards and they asked why I have no progress. Figured it was a glitch and just rebooted the game and it fixed itself.
Just so you all know EA fixed this after the heroes unleashed event event, due to the fact that it was on the weekend basically it was just data overload and was unable to sync your progress with the game
This happened to me awhile back, had a moment of sadness, disbelief. Turned off my Xbox for 3 months, PC has been rocking it, and came back around last week and it was back, and I'd forgot it happened at all
