What does EA have to do with stopping a large scale Star Wars game from happening? The license is open. ANYONE can make one if they want. But they realize it’s not easy.
@sosamanotf642 Well starting from scratch can take from anywhere from 6 to 10 years. Nobody is going to take that amount of time and money to make a battlefront gane anymore. Especially when those who own it aren't even making them.

It WOULD’VE been cool to see a Star Wars Battlefront III. First of all, it’ll release on the PS5, XBox Series X|S, and PC. It would’ve sold FINANCIALLY well, if EA had NOT put STUPID micro transactions into it, it would’ve done better.

I just never understand why an agency would want to make a proprietary lease (I'm sure there's better terminology, but I haven't slept well in 5 days). Like your product is not being made by these bozos and you're not profit sharing now. By being PS5 or Xbox exclusive, you literally halve your market. Idk, it's insane to think that somebody would sell a 10+ year lease to a shitty company with no control.
They were 99.9% of the way their but at the last second decided to cancel it because EA denied it as they’ve already released battlefield 2042 at that time
