Just 3 quick tips to help you survive: -You can enable subtitles so you don't have to learn German. -You can destroy the King George V/ Prince of Wales/Rodney's main guns and limit the damage they cause to you. -If you can get enough hits on the Hood at long range plunging fire will cause its magazine to catastrophically blow up.

I remember like 10 years ago taking a whole week off of 8th grade to play this game all day everyday, I was sick at the time so it kind of worked out perfectly. I think I actually rented this thing from Blockbuster for the 360 lol I'm old

This is one of the first times I watch a video that wasn't uploaded five years ago. I have hope that since this comment is being made the same day the video was uploaded, Phly has a good chance of seeing my advice. You don't need to lead your targets in this game. If the targets are within range, just aim right at them and your guns will auto-adjust. If the targets are not within range, I don't think it's possible to hit them.

Phly I love this game, it's so awesome that they made a mod to play the British and German campaign, I literally played battle stations pacific everyday years ago, the game is so smooth and perfect, I miss this game and it's so awesome that your playing it again showing us the German campaign!!

You should do the royal navy mission called "Big Race". Also, you should check out other mods in this game such as BSmodHQ v.4.0

This video's brought back fond memories of messing around in the skirmish mode on Battlestations: Midway. I'm just happy to see the Rodney in a game. KGV has all of the armour, but Rodney looks like a brutalist nightmare and is almost unique.

At the point of when you had extremely low health, if you had deselected the repair teams on flooding, held the repair button and just selected the middle button on the repair menu. This makes the repair teams on your ship repair the hit points.

PHLY! I need your help badly. I need you to talk about the repair system and how to fix it. I would be amazing if you would talk about it in the begging of one of your videos. I have a simple way to fix this problem, what br the plane is at like 1.7 the repair would be 1,700 lions. when it is spaded it would be double of the br so a spade 1.7 would be 3,400 lions. and a airplane kill would be 3/4 of it's repair.

Omfg, More Battlestations Phly, It's (for me) the best naval game. And btw, there is shell tracking cam, forgot the button though.

Please remember to set the repair tab back to the centre when all other sections are fully repaired, it is the repairing of the hull so raising ur health

As a rule of thumb: If there is a letter in a German word, it's there to be pronounced. We're not the French after all :D Enjoyed the video a lot by the way. I'd certainly watch a series of this.

For the record regarding Suffolk and Norfolk. There county class cruisers. First one is prounced Suff-uk and the second North-uk. The Dorsetshire is pronounced Door-set-sheer

Phly on the repair wheel when none of the main modules need to be repaired just set the wheel to the middle and it will repair the entire ship.

Prince of Wales was a King George V class battleship when she first encountered Bismarck alot of her gun systems malfunctioned so she had to pull out, not to mention the fact that the crew was not properly trained(same with the Hood) She was sunk in the south china sea in 1941. She was the only King George V class to actually sink in battle the rest were scrapped. As for the suffolk it was a county class I think heavy cruiser, wasnt actually sunk when it engaged Bismarck the first or second time and ended up tracking Bismarck with its radar until other ships could catch it and shtuff... The Dorsetshire and Norfol were both the same class as Suffolk, Dorsetshire was originally escorting a convoy like 260 miles away and received orders to go and intercept Bismarck she participated in the sinking of Bismarck as well and rescued survivors. She was sunk by Japanese aircraft in 1942. HMS King George V was a King George V class, when Hood and Prince of Wales engaged Bismarck King George and Rodney were around 125 miles away still so it still took em a while to get there. When they got there they engaged Bismarck and one of bismarck's turrets was hit causing it to go to full depression. Anyway in the end the Bismarck was sunk by some torpedus and the Rodney and King George were scrapped.

just installed, good game and remastered. To follow shells : when firing the ship's artillery hold the "fire" button (Mouse 1) and while holding it press the SHIFT key once

PhlyDaily if you hold down the fire button it will follow your shells all the way to the ship or your target

Norfolk and Suffolk are pronounced "Suffock" and "Norfock". The ships are named after counties in England. I think it means "People of North" and "People of the South. It's an understandable mispronunciation, however, if you've never heard those names spoken before.

BTW Baron You can switch ships just press 'F' or if you disbanded the formation press 'E'

bismarck was originally being chased by the norfolk and suffolk then the prince of wales and hood joined when they had position on her, then after taking its hit from fighters from ark royal the rodney joined in with other ships to sink the bismarck nce and for all, there's your history lesson phly

you know Phly, if you put your crew back on "normal" mode, they are slowly repairing your ship(hp).

Phly, yes you have to lead the planes. At short range, however this doesen't come into play.

Personally I'd like to see a mod were they add MORE of the Kreigsmarine and Royal Navy to the playable units roster? That and maybe some island capture maps set in the North Atlantic or the Mediterranean?
