Track - 18 from the Battlestar Galactica Blood And Chrome OST Everybody is looking for this song and are even buying the soundtrack just for this track so here we go! (Raya Yarbrough and Brendan Mccreary)
This was originally meant to be a full series or at least a mini series. But it was unfortunately canned by SyFy and was only allowed a DVD movie. In my opinion, this was good enough to be a full series and should be.
What have I done? Am I a good son, a good son? Was I meant for greater things? Have the tied my hands or just cut lose my wings? Where have I gone? Lost my path behind and beyond All I see is red Not on my hands, no, it’s in my head Is this beginning, is this the end, all that’s come before will come again (4x) When my time’s done Will I be in the ground or blazing towards the sun? (you're welcome ^^)
For everyone asking whats the song and language its the ancient language SANSkrit probably most ancient of all and the mantra is called gayatri mantra and its meaning is something like this oh God the Protector, the basis of all life, Who is self-existent, Who is free from all pains and Whose contact frees the soul from all troubles, Who pervades the Universe and sustains all, the Creator and Energizer of the whole Universe, the Giver of happiness, the most excellent, Who is Pure and the Purifier of all, let us embrace that very Creator, so that He may direct our mental faculties in the right direction and lead us to true knowledge. essence of the literal translation Om, in Heaven, on Earth, and everywhere in between. We pray to you, almighty creator. We meditate in your radiant ever present glory. May it lead us to our enlightenment.
Funny enough I learned this way back when I was taking an world religion class in college while we were studying Hinduism and Buddhism. So cool. I showed it to the professor and he seemed to really like it.
I watched the whole movie last night. At the end I heard this track and had to have it. Thanks for providing it! I really didn't feeling like separating the audio track from the video and editing. This track is fantastic! Kudos to Bear McCreary, his brother Brendan McCreary, and his wife Raya Yarbrough for a kick ass soundtrack.
nothing better when you mix rock with ancient music, should be a new kind of rock! Its fuckin pretty! Always at BSG! This show had the best music ever!!!!
Тhis mооooviе is now аaavаilable toо watch here => twitter.com/9a6795e7a0d8ce32e/status/795841250129629184 Battlеstаr Galасticаa Blооd And Chrоme Ароoоосalyрseеее
so anyway, for the last five years i listen from the people i know how BSG is the best franchise ever. five years and i ignored that message successfully. a month ago, out of nothing i get this movie first, then the whole show, all seasons. then i found webisodes. then "the plan". for me, this world is more impressive than any startrek, starwars, star what have you out there. this is the real thing. too bad the storyline does not allow anything further...
Pavle Lekic Same for me! Frak all lasers, shields, photon torpedoes and all that high-tech stuff! Real badasses use heavy artillery and missiles! Except for tylium and FTL, perfectly believable show in terms of realisticness (even sounds in space, impossible to remove for drama purpose, are heavily muffled like underwater).
The movie has just ended a few minutes ago in the Sy Fy Latinamerica, Frakking great, it brought tears to my eyes when "Husker" launches onboard his Viper at the end of the movie and then when this scene brought to my mind the scenes of Admiral Adama launching onboard the last Viper out of the Galactica above the Earth.
+cmsahe it actually was never suppose to be a movie. It was Machinima trying to resurrect the show but it was sadly never picked up. Their 10 episodes would have made for a GREAT movie pilot for a new show. IMHO they missed out this would have great for a show especially if it was to come after Caprica seen it really got a lot of people watching again.
I was too busy being annoyed that they used the wrong fucking kind of Viper. The idiots wasted money creating a Mark III Viper when that shouldn't have even existed at that point, instead of on a new "small Battlestar" model to replace the ultramodern Valkyrie type or on a Mark *I* Viper to be used in the pre-ending sequences.
@@ZeldaTheSwordsman It's difficult to keep that kind of continuity in check when managing everything that goes into a production. Especially with their limited resources, its why lorekeepers are used in the video game industry to help keep those kinds of errors in check. Over all they did a good job, given the scope of the production.
This is part of a soundtrack connected to a TV/Web Movie that was meant to be the pilot for a new Series set during the First Cylon War. Sadly that series never came into fruition.
Yeah man, this is MUCH more like it. This was a no bull shit action yarn with none of the soap opera crap that marred the series to death. If you have not seen this it is well worth the watch. Excellent effects. Solid story. Solid acting. The first 5 minutes I was like oh yawn... but it picked up nicely. Good show. Bout time.
After listening to a couple of songs by Yoasobi (either Japanese or English versions), I somehow feel the need to follow them up by playing this exact one
The lyrics for the english parts: What have I done? Am I a good son, a good son? Was I meant for greater things? Have the tied my hands or just cut lose my wings? Where have I gone? Lost my path behind and beyond All I see is red Not on my hands, no, it’s in my head Is this beginning, is this the end, all that’s come before will come again (4x) When my time’s done Will I be in the ground or blazing towards the sun? :))
@@MartyCa101 I don't know how I've missed your coment, but thank you very much for the lyrics. I was having problems understanding the fourth line from the first and second verse.
Blood and Chrome was dumb about ships. REALLY dumb about ships. To the point that the ship sequences outside of the simulator run, the skirmish at the Archeron, and the Wild Weasel's crash landing... largely need to be redone or else thrown out and replaced with slideshows. But it was a good story.
+Duncan Cook Bear McCreary's wife Raya Yarbrough, and his brother Branden "BT4" McCreary. Raya also did the vocals on the BSG opening track. I believe this was the second BSG song he did the vocals for, the first was All Along the Watchtower.
@@UGNAvalonAmusingly, if it's directed at Galactica, it's a... retroactive call-backward given that in BSG Deadlock, the Galactica crashed on a planet early in its career and needed to be rebuilt.
I'm an old-school sci-fi fan over 60 and out of all the Sci-Fi series and movies that I have watched in that time this was my favorite by far. Listening to this music by bear McCreary put me in the mood to kick some toaster ass even at my age
Thanks for the upload. Tried finding the soundtrack recently to replace one lost due to a hurricane. Amazon has one for $100 and only one. Too bad would love to add that to my collection. They have all the other BSG soundtracks but not this one? Limited run?
I just wish that the space battles were a little more epic, because let's be honest here they had a real shot at a new show one filled with humanity not running to save their skin but kick ass and taking names. None the less the movie was awsome as well as this song
I know this thread is ancient, but this song would have been amazing as an armada of Battlestars like Pegasus, Atlantia, Scorpia, Bellerophon, and Olympus and led by Galactica lead a massive "Base Delta Zero" on the frakking Cylon Homeworld. And Adama addressing the fleet. "We have come so far, through endless suffering and death, we have all seen our fathers, our sons, our daughters, and our families fight and fall for the glory of the Twelve Colonies. Each and every one that we have lost will finally know the uniform they chose to honor was not in vain. For we stand with our brothers and sisters of the Thirteenth Colony shoulder to shoulder, brothers in arms as we begin the final assault on our greatest enemy!! An enemy that has stopped at nothing to reduce the human race to a memory! The blood of over forty billion people, the once great Children of Kobol, cry for justice. And today, they will finally be at peace, for now we have the means to finally take what was rightfully given to us!! Back from those glorified toasters who with impudence, slaughtered an entire civilization!!
Edit: And with this I call upon each and every single human with the desire to seek retribution on our destroyers, to step into the darkness, to avenge all that we have lost, and to see that every human remaining in this galaxy will never have to face the uprising of machines or any threat that humanity may face!! I have led you this far, I am only but a simple man from Tauron. I have made mistakes and I have learned from them. But this is one mistake I wholeheartedly intend to correct, not just for the Last Children of Kobol, but for all who seek freedom and independence from tyranny!!! May the Lords of Kobol grant us victory, may our cause be just, and may we live to see the light of peace again. So say we all.........
I dunno... I thought this was an entertaining romp. How do we know this WASN'T the way "The Bucket" was equipped during the Cylon War, since we pretty much saw the Galactica as she was, about to be decommissioned and turned into a Museum ship? Sure, she was equipped with a couple of Mk. VII Squadrons, which was more a formality than everything else, and most of her armament was removed. Just enjoy another episode of BSG, and go along for the ride.
