There is a new best sci-fi. That is besterer than BSG. The Expanse. It is just so good, nothing else comes properly close. Bot beacuse other shows are at fault. But because The Expanse is just that fucking good
Why the fuck after almost 15 years of the internet crushing the shit out of t.v. do we still have to get on the internet to see a show like this? This guy is great for this, the format is intimate but not pretentious, the guest can speak. the host doesn't drone on constantly, overplay his hand, or steal the focus.... There's no dumb fucking pranks/plays to the audience, or over-sold attempts to break the 4th wall. no cg intro/outtro's or gimmicks.. just a guest and a host speaking in a calm setting, and it works.
This was an amazing interview, I have to give Paul F Tomkins a lot of credit. I mean he jokes, but he really delves deep into the person he's interviewing. Katee is just amazing herself, funny, intelligent, thoughtful...love that woman.
Yeah, the guy obviously does his research, and interviews interesting people. And he gives them space to talk; he doesn't cut in every few seconds with a quip. Really great interviewer.
For anyone who is interested and is not aware, Katee Sackhoff has a youtube channel she fairly regularly posts videos on and they're pretty interesting to watch. She also hangs out with Tricia Helfer, her co-star from battle star galactica, even after all these years.
Starbuck was absolutely a character I "loved to hate" on BSG, and I don't think I've seen Katee in anything else, so it's cool to watch her and to finally really *know* for sure that she's likely a nice lady and not a terrible bitter angry drunk badass.

Longmire is a show that is waiting to be loved, by so many people, who haven't watched it, or haven't watched it recently. But if they did, they would love Walt, Vic, The Red Pony. It is laconic and labrilliant. Writing talent from talented writers setting up the universe, its characters, and its motivations. It is a god damn special show.

I haven't seen much of your work except Battelstar but that show proved your skill and talent. normal people do not realize what good acting is. If it looks natural that's good work. Did people actually argue that the Riddick part was sexist? Yeah, you had a sexist character but that is completely different to the film or part from being sexist. The sexist guy in Riddick's defining features were that he was an obnoxious idiot with no respect for anybody. Katies character was a butch and pretty badass, she had respect from the people who mattered in that film. Also the nude scene was incredibly tastefully done..

They're making too much of the boob scene in "Riddick". She's in a shower and you catch a one-and-half second glimpse. Most of her work is as a special ops mercenary who beats the shit out of guys. "Oculus" (while not really a great horror movie) is moderately interesting and she does get to work on the "mom" thing. "Oculus" is really Karen Gillan's movie.

Don't get me wrong, I think she's great, but how is swimming a career? Even if you go to the Olympics, then you have to find something else to do with your life when that's over. Ask Michael Phelps if you can catch him between DUIs. Okay, that's going too far, but really, she was 15 and a swimmer and injury prevented her from swimming so she was not sure what to do.
