This game had the most perfectly suited music of any period naval combat game. I tried for years as a teenager to extract this soundtrack from the weird FMOD format in the game files but never succeeded. Thanks for posting this!

When I was like 5 my routine was reading Shattered Sword in the morning, playing Midway in the evening, and watching Battle 360 at night. Wish I still had a copy.

The US defeat theme at 54:40 should have played in campaign when the Japan zero flew into Donald as he was taking off. The picture displayed showing Henry standing their with the debree where Donald was killed still makes me feel like crap (mainly because they were both the main characters). This scene to me resembled how war is very unforgiving and brutal that any friend or family can be killed in a blink of an eye.

I felt like US music got worse in BS:P except for US Action which got remastered. While JP theme got a huge overhaul and become much better in BS:P.

The Japanese soundtracks for me are just beautiful, at times they feel calming yet soothing however when you progressively reach combat the calmness is broken by the beats of the drums and that really gets my blood and adrenaline running and genuinely helps me focus when playing the game. I love the American themes too but I think they make you feel more like a character from a movie almost Hollywood like

They can say that image number 10 is from midway but it's really from Pacific cause if you look closely in front of the p-40s nose you can see either the shoho or the zuiho which is a CVE and in midway there were no escort carriers not even the Hermes
