How did you get to play it

The battle of the java sea was made up of multiple small engagements. Atago and takao along with some other cruisers and planes from ryuujou helped later on

This is probably one of my favorite missions in Battlestations Midway and Pacific. The music and new Japanese voices make this more epic. FOR THE EMPOROR!!!

I thought Nachi was a tone class

That's something that's always confused me about Midway and Pacific, their insistence that Nachi is a Tone-class. Tone and Chikuma are the only Tone-class - Nachi and Haguro are both Myoko-class, the closest of which in the game is Takao, although Mogami is quite similar.

Battleship Nagato, Midway has such problems. For example "John D. Ford" and "John D. Edwards" are Fletcher-class destroyers, while in Pacific they are Clemson-class, as they were in reality, I think.

That's correct. I could go on for hours. Stationed at Pearl is, I think, the worst offender - take, for example, Vestal, a repair ship - which is a battleship, New York-class, in Midway. No comparison at all - if anything, it should be a freighter. But what I mean has confused me is why they chose to put the Takao-class (very little combat in the early stages of the war), the Mogami-class (very little combat in the early stages of the war) and the Tone-class (only ever escorted carriers in the early stages of the war) while missing out the Myoko-class (in nearly every major surface battle in and around Java, plus the battle of the Coral Sea). The inclusion of such classes as the Fuso in Midway also confuses me - the real-life Fusos never saw combat until 1944 - and the Fletcher, not commissioned until November 1942, and yet destroyer classes like the Sims-class or the Kagero-class are missing. It's just a shame that the new units added by modders such as Runsva are so few and far between... Midway or Pacific (I prefer Midway as my computer barely handles Pacific) could be easily the best games in their genre if they were just a little more accurate.
